Le Specialita' Lariane

If there is a way to prepare lake fish, Le Specialita' Lariane does it. This seafood company takes the fresh water just-caught fish and smokes it, dries it, and marinates it. You can purchase the various products at their two stores, or you can visit their tasting room in Cernobbio for a special meal.

Using perch, trout, eel, sturgeon and more, they turn it into delectable productions. Mousse (pate'), ravioli, fish "meatballs", caviar and more! They also sell local honey, jams, wines and olive oil.

A gourmet delight, though, is their tasting session. Thursday and Friday evenings or Saturday at lunch you can reserve for a lake fish feast where they present beautiful plates of carefully prepared regional dishes. You must reserve in advance though!

The tastings are at the shop in Cernobbio, while the drying and packing of the products takes place in their Lenno store.
