Fantastic views and very clean
November 2019 - We had a great time at Villa Vittoria! Raffaele [the owner] was great at showing us around and being attentive to our needs.
The location is fantastic as it is away from the hustle and bustle and yet close enough to be able to enjoy it when we wanted it. The views are fantastic.
It was very clean and just about had everything we needed.
I would definitely stay there again.
Summer in Italy made everything very easy. Grazie!
Travel tips
- Get the bus schedule down as it makes it super easy to get to Positano and Amalfi/Ravello. We didn't drive at all once we arrived and it was great.
- The marina is just around the corner and a nice dip in the Mediterranean Sea was a nice respite.

Great view, nice layout, great big kitchen with all of the amenities, beautiful terrace
June 2019 - We enjoyed Villa Vittoria very much. It has a great view, nice layout, great big kitchen with all of the amenities, the terrace was beautiful. The night and day views of the water and houses was fantastic.
Overall it was a great stay and the owner was very responsive and nice.
Summer In Italy has great service and super responsive. Lots of places to choose from in all varieties!
Travel tips
- Do your grocery shopping before coming over the mountain to the coast. There are not real grocery stores nearby. So stock up before you get there.
- Driving your own car is a pain and super nerve racking. Just take the bus up and down to the other towns. It is super easy and cheap.

The location is amazing, and having parking was a major plus
May 2019 - We had a wonderful stay at Villa Vittoria. The location is amazing, and having parking was a major plus.
We'd highly recommend planning to stay put rather than too much driving, and the bus system can be overloaded, resulting in long wait times to get from one place to another. We were very glad we had our car, even though driving those roads is quite an experience. I would not recommend it for anyone faint of heart, or who is not an excellent driver.
Raffaele [the owner] was warm and helpful.
Great. We'd definitely book with Summer In Italy again.

- The restaurant right across the way is excellent and the staff are very welcoming and attentive.

We would stay here again
May 2019 - Villa Vittoria was a great find! We loved the house. We had 4 adults (2 couples) and stayed 5 nights.
Praiano is a quieter place to stay along the coast of Amalfi, the view is fantastic, it's close to the beach, has a great garage for personal parking (located across the street). Restaurants are within walking distance, the bus stop runs right in front, there are local small markets close by to buy wine, beer and food items.
The owner is excellent to work with. Very friendly and helpful.
Note that there are a lot of steps to negotiate to get to front door, but that’s typical for Amalfi area. We would stay here again if we come back.
Beautiful area. Ciao!
Travel tips
- Buses do run by but are not always predictable. Sometimes it’s better to hire a private car.
- Shop for food, wine and beer up on the hill overlooking Praiano center. Go to the smaller local Mercato. Prices are cheaper!

Enjoyed our stay immensely
May 2018 - Villa Vittoria was in a perfect location with a large parking garage. There are several restaurants close by and we enjoyed our stay immensely.
It was great.
Ease of booking made it easy.
Travel tips
- Make sure to take the Capri trip out of the marina next door. 80 euro is a deal and it was an excellent trip. Be mindful of the weather.

Definitely a top-tier vacation rental
April 2018 - Wonderful place to stay and fabulous owner. Easy walk to nearby restaurants. Terrific view. Modern, charming and well-maintained house. Definitely a top-tier vacation rental.
Summer In Italy's service was fantastic. We will be visiting Northern Italy next year and I hope to use you again!
Travel tips
- The beach is not far but access is an effort because of the steepness of the terrain (the whole Amalfi Coast is very steep so this applies to the vast majority of places). You also have to walk along a narrow road with lots of traffic for around 5 minutes to get to the beach access. This can be somewhat nerve-wrecking and might actually be dangerous for young or uncontrolled children.

Lovely place
September 2017 - Villa Vittoria is a lovely place, very clean and with a well equipped kitchen (included glasses, plates and more). The villa is very well maintained and everything is in working order. The description of the property is by no means exaggerated. A pleasant experience and definitely a place we can recommend.
The host is a pleasant person and good in showing and explaining the many facilities of the villa. A good experience of Italian hospitality.
Super service from Summer In Italy. Very professional and helpful, as well as flexible. A booking bureau we can definitely recommend.
Travel tips
- Good location, just a bit far from the nearest grocery store. Remember to shop for breakfast and other necessities before arriving.
- As you arrive, walk up past Hotel La Perla, further up the path until it ends. Then there is a good way to the right where there are two small grocery stores. Otherwise there are several small supermarkets in Praiano.
- There are 2 good restaurants near the villa, "Il Pirata" and "Franchino" with very good food and prices at the upper end. But can be recommended.
- Unfortunately we can not recommend "Restaurant Donna Clelia" located at the Praiano beach, in the gorge.

The views are AMAZING
July 2017 - The pictures don't do the villa justice! Located right on the edge of a quiet ridge, the views are AMAZING. The main bathroom has been remodeled with a spacious shower, another bathroom on main floor also contains a much desired washing machine, and the living room is full of pretty pictures and comfortable furniture. The locals are friendly and helpful, and the small grocery store is only 15 minutes away by foot. The beach is a 5 minute walk down an easy pathway with access to boats and ferries.
The house owner is WONDERFUL: friendly, helpful, informative, and gives you all the space you need to enjoy your vacation. We highly recommend staying here.
Loved using Summer In Italy. They were quick to reply, helpful with suggestions and easy to reserve villas we were interested in. We will book with Summer In Italy again!
Travel tips
- Plenty of restaurants to walk to near the villa.
- We enjoyed hiking the "Path of the Gods" trail above Praiano which takes you all the way to Positano, if you have the energy to walk the distance.

September 2014 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Vittoria.
It's position, between Amalfi and Positano, made easy the access by bus to both the towns. The villa is walking distance down to the harbor of Praiano which has a swimming beach and some restaurants.
It was fine have the reserved parking space for our car.
The owner was always friendly and helpful and added nice touches such as the bowl of freshly picked figs from the garden.
This is our first booking with Summer In Italy. It was a good experience and we would use and recommend your services in the future.
Travel tips
- The general store at about 15 minute walk away has a good range of supplies available including deli goods and local wines.

May 2013 - We enjoyed our stay there the view and location were excellent.
Travel tips
- Driving is a challenge and you have to be confident in driving far, the road signs are designed to allow you to see more of the country so just enjoy it.
- Ravello is worth the trip, Capri was not quite what we were expecting, exorbitant bus journeys, designer shops and tourists by the thousands even out of season. The boat trip was nice and the sea calm, however, unless you're desperate to see Capri I suggest you catch the bus to Sorrento and have a more affordable shopping day out.

April 2013 - It`s just impossible to imagine more perfect holidays than these, and all thanks to Villa Vittoria.
Without your website we never would find about Villa Vittoria. All the information was exact, complete and correct. Employees are helpful and kind.
Travel tips
- There is this really nice and delicious pizzeria called Che Bonta near Villa Vittoria in Praiano - the best lasagna we have ever eaten.
- Also there is this Alfonso A Mare restaurant that is basically on the beach and location is simply amazing, but food wasn't for my taste. It's worth to spend one evening there because of the view.
- It was like ritual for us every morning drink cafe-latte and almost every evening - wine in candle light at Il Pirata restaurant that is seen from Villa Vittoria's balcony.
- If you're planing to go to Capri Island and also take a boat trip along the coast, do it from Amalfi - it's cheaper.

August 2012 - My family of 5 had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Villa Vittoria.
It is a beautiful home conveniently situated for the walk into town and the steps down to the beach and restaurants. The home is beautifully furnished, air conditioning, lovely terraces and fig, lemon and lime trees in the garden. The owner was extremely helpful, we had a place to park the car, all in all it was an excellent accommodation. Also dealing with Summer In Italy was excellent, all email answered promptly and efficiently, thank you.
Travel tips
- Lovely restaurants in the beach area which is a 10 min leisurely walk down steps along a path a short distance from villa.
- Private boat trips to Capri and the coast from the beach area.
- Grocery sores only take cash and they are 30 min walk away.
- If taking the bus you have to have a bus ticket before hand.
- Ravello is a very worthwhile trip.

June 2012 - When we arrived we just couldn't believe of the beautiful villa that was before us... set in the cliffs above the beach with a view that just went on and on!
The villa was beautifully furnished, spotless and fully equipped.
The owner was amazing - he brought us fresh vegetables from his garden, lemons and figs from his trees and a nice bottle of wine. He treated us like his extended family!
If we come back to Praiano again we will only stay at Villa Vittoria!
Summer In Italy helped make everything easy for us. Communicating everything we needed was spot on!
Travel tips
- We took the boat tour to Capri booked from the marina down below. It was an amazing day.
- The water taxi rides we took to Amalfi were wonderful!
- The restaurants in the cove were all great - we especially like Bar Mare (Sal and his momma were amazing and treated us like family) - if you don't like tourists crowds, this is the place for you.
- The food store is a nice walk and they deliver your groceries - where else do they do that... they even gave my wife a ride back on the motorcycle and one day saw us walking with groceries and took them from us and delivered them to the villa.
- What a friendly, beautiful place to spend your vacation.

June 2012 - An amazing family vacation: wonderful villa, view, people, food and weather
I would recommend this villa and location in Italy (Praiano along Amalfi Coast) to my best friends and family. We could not have been more pleased with this vacation.
The owner (Raffaele)was gracious and so very helpful. The people in this area of Italy were all so very nice even when there was a language barrier, they did everything they could to help. Raffaele even took us to the local grocery store for supplies when we arrived and the store owners gave us a ride back to the villa - such nice people.
The view from the villa was stunning and there were balconies off of the two king bedrooms and a large deck off the first floor with plenty of lounge chairs, tables and chairs etc. Even fruit trees with the tops reachable from the deck so you could pick fresh lemons and kumquats to enjoy :-). The villa had everything we needed - kitchen well-stocked and spacious and the living room was also very spacious all rooms looked out over the water.
We had a car, but primarily used the local buses, water transportation, and walked. There were so many really good family-run restaurants within walking distance at the bottom of the cliff by the villa we had a tough decision each night when deciding which to go to - we loved them all. our favorite appetizer was the Black pepper mussels at "Alfonso a Mare" followed by homemade pasta and wine.
You can use a water taxi or book dives and boat trips to Capri right from the same beach near the villa. The view of the sea, beautiful terrain and roman tower would be tough to beat. We loved everything about our stay and would not change anything. even enjoyed the after dinner walks back up the rocky cliff to the villa (exercise allowed us to eat more :-))
Also Summer in Italy was very easy to deal with and helpful would also recommend this organization.
Note: Amalfi coast driving is quite the thrill ride! My husband said driving there was like a video game with consequences.
Travel tips
- We enjoyed eating at the 4 restaurants at the base of the cliff each night (loved them all and the people).
- Capri day trip (by boat worth it) when there rent a taxi/driver for the duration to make sure you can maximize what you see - the chair lift to the peak is awesome.
- Loved relaxing on the deck just looking at the magnificent view.
- Note for U.S. cell phones: Even though I had a global phone with Verizon, it did not work on most of the peninsula, got occasional reception in Amalfi, but everywhere else - nothing - just be aware not to go depending on it for communication, may need to visit an Internet cafe to confirm flights and such. [coverage may vary: we recommend roaming with the TIM operator for best coverage along the Amalfi Coast. If your phone is unlocked, you can also obtain a pre-paid SIM card and receive free incoming calls for a reasonable fee. Check into a telephony shops for assistance.]

We say "keep up the great work" you do for your guests. Summer in Italy staff were VERY professional and helpful. We will remain and want to always be a customer!!
Travel tips
- The location was ideal to get to other places on the Amalfi coast.
- We had a car which we would not have traded the option to have a car even though the public transportation seemed very accessible. One of the most important features to us was the ability to park a car. We did not need such a large Villa for the two of us but we LOVED having the parking and the large space was awesome.

September 2011 - We really loved Villa Vittoria - it was perfectly presented and spotlessly clean, with a magic position above a cove beside Praiano's best swimming beach. The terrace was wonderful and we ate every meal there.
We loved the fact that the house was away from the village because it was away from the tourist centre and we loved walking, but this may be a factor for some.
The house was very comfortably furnished and well appointed for casual outdoor living. The view down to the cove with its beautifully colored fishing boats and across a small collection of other dwellings to the Torre Asciola was memorizing at any time of the day or night.
We had the most enjoyable and relaxing week.
We found your organization to be very professional - all the information we received about the house was accurate, your communication was clear and prompt and the detailed instructions about our arrival and about the house itself was very helpful and comprehensive.
Travel tips
- We found the owners of the small but well stocked grocery store on the main road (Mamma Angela) were extremely helpful and delivered our large order free of charge.
- The fish shop in Praiano sold us the best fish we have EVER eaten and we really enjoyed Bar del Sole for coffee and pastries.
- We did part of the Sentiero degli Dei walk from La Praia beach, over the mountains to Positano - tough but probably the highlight of our stay. The views were sensational and the ancient pathways made it such a special experience.
- We loved our trip to Amalfi and explored the valley with the medieval paper mills -- fantastic.

August 2011 - We had a lovely time at Villa Vittoria.
The owner was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us the villa and everything that we needed to know.
Great location and the view was magnificent, close to the bus stop (in front of Hotel Onda Verde) to go to Positano and Amalfi and also to a few restaurants and to Praia beach. There were figs waiting for us on the verandah on a couple of mornings which we enjoyed very much.
Thank you Villa Vittoria for giving us wonderful memories.
I don't have any negative things to say about Summer in Italy. Luca and Valeria were very helpful and just great in answering all my questions. My booking went very smoothly, so thank you Luca, Valeria and Summer in Italy.
Travel tips
- We (6) had an awesome time at Villa Vittoria and Amalfi Coast. Visited Pompeii on our way to Amalfi Coast from Rome and used Sorrento Silverstar for our transfer.
- We didn't have a car as the villa was very close to the bus stop (in front of Hotel Onda Verde).
- We caught Flavio bus to go to Positano and Sita bus to Amalfi, there was a tabacchi close by to buy tickets.
- We didn't cook at Villa Vittoria as there were a few restaurants close by, we dined at Onda Verde, Open Gate, Il Pirata and went to Africana for drinks and and the young ones stayed for the disco. We also went to Il Pino and Vivaro Wine Bar in town (only about 20 minutes walk). There were all very nice restaurants with good food and great service, view was always great with most restaurants in Praiano.
- For breakfast we bought everything we needed from Tutto Per Tutti, also within walking distance.
- We went to Praia beach once which was close to the villa, although it was nice we are so used to sandy beach, the pebbles were a bit hard on our feet. So going to the beach wasn't our priority on our trip, but going to Capri on a boat was one of our highlights on Amalfi Coast.
- We booked through Gennaro e Salvatore for a boat trip to Capri. We were picked up from Gavitella beach in town (about 350 steps to go down and we made it up after the huffing and puffing) about 8.30am and picked up another 6 people from Positano. We went straight to Blue Grotto and only had to wait 15 minutes, it was magnificent, the man actually let my niece jump in the water. From there we had a few swims and one of them was at the Green grotto. We had 4 hours at Capri, we went to Anacapri. 4 hours in Capri is not enough, people said you really need to stay there to enjoy Capri after all the day trippers gone, but we just enjoyed the water so much we weren't disappointed, and for Euro 50 (not including entrance fee to the Blue Grotto) it was well worth it.
- We also did Discover Positano tour with Christine who was very informative and stayed for the Festival of Feast of Assumption on August 15, went to Montepertuso by bus and finished the day with having dinner at Buca di Bacco.
- One town I feel not to be missed is Ravello, although it's not on the water but it is such a pretty town with a beautiful view especially from Villa Cimbrone. The piazza was just awesome and seeing a Ballet performance at Belvedere Villa di Rufolo was a great way to finish our trip at Amalfi Coast.
- When we were at Amalfi Coast, there were a lot of mosquitoes, so make sure you have plenty of anti repellent and we also bought plug-ins for the villa.
- Praiano Tourist Office [email protected] was also great, I exchanged e-mails a lot to find out events, bus time tables, restaurants etc before we left.

May 2010 - Villa Vittoria was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking, the bedrooms were comfortable, the terrace was wonderful and the view was incredible.
The location could not have been better as everything was within walking distance including the bus stop to Positano or Amalfi.
Summer in Italy was great. The pictures and description of the villa were exactly what the villa was. There were no unpleasant surprises. Booking this trip was so easy. We would definitely book through Summer in Italy again.
Travel tips
- A car is not necessary.
- The marina below the villa has a number of small family run restaurants as well as access to water taxis to Positano and Amalfi and other boats for day trips to Capri.
- The grocery store is also within a short distance to the villa. The smaller grocery store in Praiano will deliver your groceries to the villa.
- The bus stop is just a few yards away from the hotel right next to the villa.

April 2010 - Do not look any further. Make your reservation at Villa Vittoria and get ready for a great time. Stay as long as you can. We stayed 3 weeks and were not ready to leave.
We rented a car so the garage was a real bonus. The owner is a gem, he carried our luggage down the steps, and was disappointed when we left because we had already carried everything to the car.
The Villa is sparkling clean. Location is ideal. The stairs were no problem for our 75 year old legs. Great places to eat near by and wonderful stores if you are into cooking.

July 2009 - Praiano was a lovely restful week during our hectic five-week European adventure. We have a teenager so renting a villa was a good choice for us. This one is large so there was plenty of room for everyone to find some private space, and the views are awesome.
Praiano is much nicer than the larger towns in the area and we were very glad we stayed there - a quiet haven to return to after the crowds of the day. Nice little beach nearby and some good restaurants.
We hired a car in Rome and drove down, an experience in itself. Everything people say about the terrifying roads is true! The local buses are pretty good (buy a bus pass at the tabacchi before you board) so you can do without a car, but we needed it to get to our next destination so having the garage was useful.
Travel tips
- Highlights for us included a day trip to Pompeii (trains and buses, a long journey but perfectly doable
- it's vast so hire a guide or join a group when you get there, it's worth it) and dinner at the family-run La Tagliata just outside Positano (ample food of varying quality - go for the atmosphere
- Tuesday is good as they have live music and it's a big party).
- Take your own beach towels as they are not provided at the villa.

June 2009 - Villa Vittoria coincided fully with our image of the house and pictures in description.
The owner was helpful and understanding when we despite of navigator got lost (were at Furore) at midnight and told us the right way to house. It was amazing to woke up in next morning and see where you are, although the nocturne was great also! The scene was unbelievable beautiful.
The house is spacious and very clean. There was everything you need. Own parking place was also great, because parking is a big problem in every place in Amalfi area.
Many thanks to Luca and Alfano in Summer in Italy, your service was excellent. I have also recommend your site to many people.
Travel tips
- In the upper part of village there is the largest shop, where you can buy all you need, there is also a good selection of wines in downstairs.
- The buses (mini or SITA) are convenient way of travel, though the route of which the minibus drives in upper village is unbelievable narrow and steep.
- There are nice restaurants in La Praia and also in village centre (La Brace has beautiful sunset scene).

May 2009 - The villa was absolutely amazing. Well worth the price.
The view is stunning and the villa is fairly close to a lot of amenities.
We had a group of 6, 3 couples and there was the perfect amount of space. The kitchen was great, we were able to go to the market and buy fresh groceries everyday to cook that evening.
The owner was great, met us when we showed up and let us check out very early when we left.
Overall an amazing experience and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
Travel tips
- Get a small map of Praiano from the tourist shop in town, this will help to figure out some of the walking backroads which make it much easier to get around rather than walking on the main road into town.

- Bar del Sole is great, good coffee and small snacks.

May 2009 - We were a group of six adults. We loved Villa Vittoria and had a very memorable stay here. It was most suitable for our needs being spacious, well equipped, comfortable and with a magnificent view over the sea from the spacious terrace.
I've got very unforgettable time staying in it.
The 62 steps were not a problem as there are landings along the way.I've got very unforgettable time staying in it.
Praiano was an excellent choice of a place to locate ourselves on the Amalfi Coast as there are fewer crowds. yet it is within easy reach of Positano, Amalfi and other villages.I've got very unforgettable time staying in it.
The owner, Raffaele, was friendly and most helpful.Summer in Italy were really good to deal with. They were helpful and responded to any requests promptly. I would go through them again.
Travel tips
- A car is not required. Get yourself a time table and use the local buses.
- We shopped at a grocery up the cliff so there are steps to climb but they were very friendly and helpful.

October 2008 - Absolutely wonderful, the view is breathtaking. Perfect place for R&R.
Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay and excellent service.
Everything went smooth. We will most certainly rent from Summer In Italy again if possible!
Travel tips
- The Amalfi drive is not as bad as everyone says, but it does take a while to go from place to place. Rent the smallest car possible.

September 2008 - We had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed Villa Vittoria.
The owner was very kind and helped us with our bags and carefully showed us everything. He also brought a basket of figs one morning - they were delicious.
The views were simply stunning.
It could be noisy late into the evening.
I would really have appreciated air conditioning in the twin bedroom. But overall we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A thank you to Claudio Lucibello, who was reliable, arriving on time to take us to and from the villa.
Travel tips
- Amalfi coast boat trip from Praiano Beach was excellent.
- I would recommend Amalfi Coast Car Service (Claudio Lucibello): he collected us from our hotel in Naples and took us to the villa returning at the end of the week to take us to the airport. He was reliable, on time and told us lots about the area.

July 2008 - As far as Villa Vittoria, how can only words describe it? It was a taste of heaven for me and my family.
Ah, the Landlord was a gem! In the morning he would come very early while the family was asleep to clean the pool and leave me treats from the garden because he knew I enjoyed eating them. He would leave me eggplants, figs, tomatoes, etc. There couldn't have been anything fresher to eat than that that was growing right there on the property. He was such a kind and gentle man that would help us carry all our luggage to and from the car when arriving and departing. If you plan on renting a car in Amalfi, the good news is that the landlord has a garage for storing it because finding parking spots is horrendous!
The villa is equipped with all the essentials and comforts you really need in Italy. One important thing you need when staying the summer in Italy is air conditioning. The units in the bedrooms were life saving on those hot nights. The balcony was breathtaking. Having additional balconies from our bedrooms were an additional plus!! To wake up to the Mediterranean was a slice of heaven!
Since we were staying for close to a month, we felt it was also important to have a laundry facility, which the villa had. We would wash and hang our laundry on the balcony line which was available with clothespins every morning just like all the other locals did.
Speaking of the locals, the neighbors couldn't have been any nicer. Everyone would wave to each other as we spent many a days on the balcony eating, drinking and listening to wonderful Italian music.
Just steps below was a beach with several restaurants to choose from if you wanted to eat out instead of cooking. We were steps away from one of the most famous night club called The Africana, which is set into an actual Grotto. Portions of the dance floor are glass and you can see the sea life below your dancing feet.
You can take a boat taxi to and from the house and town. Local grocery stores like Salvatore's delivered to your home or even drove you home if you couldn't carry all your packages. Shopping daily for fresh fruits and vegetables was part of the daily highlights which even the kids enjoyed.
Don't forget to eat the local lemons which can grow as big as cantaloupes. And leaving the Amalfi Coast without sipping some Limoncello Liquor would be a sin. We consumed anything that consisted of lemons since they were growing throughout the area.
We were able to rent a private boat to take us to and from the villa to Capri. That was a definite highlight of the trip. Wear comfortable shoes because there's lots of walking!! The villa is minutes away from the famous Positano and Amalfi. The villa is in the town of Praiano, which is a short drive away from some of the more congested areas. It was nice to venture out to the congested areas and then be able to come home to our more relaxing location.
Don't leave without going to the restaurant called La Tagliata on Tuesday Nights! You will not forget it!!!! You can take a bus from Positano to the top of the mountain to this famous restaurant. It's a prefix dinner. You pay one price and the food is home cooking and no menu. You just eat what is fresh for the day. You eat and drink and drink and drink and now they get you up on the dance floor after they have made you consume their local wines and foods and they make you dance all night long!!!! My children had a ball. It's great for the whole family.
Don't forget to head into Amalfi for shopping in the Square and visit the Cathedral of St Andrew.
Don't forget to take some cooking classes from Mamma Agata in Ravello. She is a famous chef who cooked for people like Fred Astaire. The view from her home and vineyards is breathtaking. This wine tasting and cooking event is a "Must Do". It was one of our highlights.
Don't forget to ask about any religious festivals. It's an experience worth seeing. Their faith and festivities are beautiful.
Don't forget to spend the day at Spiaggia Grande in Positano. You have to pay for umbrellas and lounge chairs, but it is worth spending the day there and seeing all the beautiful yachts from around the world. You can have lunch at Buca di Bacco. It's right at the beach. And after a long day at the beach and lunch, you can enjoy all the wonderful boutiques that are right there at the foot of the beach.
Ahh and the most beautiful thing about the Italians were their Emergency Hospital Care. My daughter arrived in Praiano very sick and we took her to Ravello Emergency Room where she was diagnosed and properly treated with better care than most American Hospitals, all free of cost except for her prescriptions which you get at the local Farmacia. So, if you get sick, go to the emergency room and you will be taken care of like no other. I cannot say anything but "Bravo" to the Italians when it comes to their Medical Attention.
Would we go back to Villa Vittoria in Praiano (just a drive away from Naples Airport, Pompeii, Amalfi, Ravello, Positano and two hours from Rome)???? Absolutely!!!! My American husband and children are now hooked on Italy and Praiano (the quaint little fishing village that became our home for the month of July).
And to our Landlord Raffaele and the locals, THANK YOU FOR TREATING US WITH SUCH A TENDERNESS & WARMTH & MAKING US FEEL SO WELCOME. CI VEDIAMO PRESTO! "WE'LL SEE YOU SOON"!

June 2008 - Yes we enjoyed very much,it was very spacious and spotlessly clean, it was also very well equipped.
The terrace was great for sunbathing, relaxing and eating outside.
The view from the villa was so beautiful, especially in the morning it was like a picture postcard to see all the fishing boats and cruisers berthed in the bay below.
I would highly recommend Villa Vittoria to friends and hopefully return sometime. Italy is such a beautiful country it has so much to offer, we found it so relaxing and the people were so friendly.
Many thanks to Luca with Summer In Italy for all the information about the villa ect.
Travel tips
- We had easy access to bus service near villa which went either way to Amalfi or Sorrento.
- We had a bit of a climb to get to a supermarket which was very well stocked, but we managed.
- There are a lot of nice little restaurants scattered near the villa, which were very good.
- We also spent some time in Praiano which has some lovely restaurants and bars with a great atmosphere and views.

May 2008 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Vittoria. It is spacious, clean and has everything that you need.
When we arrived the owner was very kind and helped us with our luggage down the steps. Also when it was time to leave he checked that our taxi was on its way.
The steps to the Villa were not as daunting as we imagined, as in between each flight there is a level path which gives you the chance to recover!!
The views are amazing and we spent most of our time on the balcony or walking in the local area as it was difficult to travel with a 5 month old baby.
I found Summer in Italy by accident while surfing the web. The detailed information given on each Villa is excellent and is far superior to other sites. When you live so far away it can be very daunting looking for accommodation but as soon as I made contact with Andrea and Luca I knew that I would not have anything to worry about. The communications were excellent and I felt confident with my choice which proved to be right. I would certainly recommend Summer in Italy and I will use them again. In one word 'Faultless'.
Many thanks Andrea & Luca for all your help, I would have been lost without you!

April 2008 - Villa Vittoria is lovely roomy villa with a superb kitchen and comfortable accommodation.
Some lovely walks round to the beach/restaurants and into the mountains can be taken from the villa.
This villa has a wonderful panoramic view of the sea too. Having the gardens was a bonus as it was a nice change to leave the balcony occasionally and visit them.
Summer In Italy was very helpful, polite and genuinely concerned with customers. Thank you for all your help.
Travel tips
- There is a little supermarket that can walked to in 10 mins but hard to find. Turn left onto the road from the villa, carry on until you come to the tiny florist and then take the steps up into the mountainside and keep going up until you either find it or have to ask. There are other routes there too which you can explore.

September 2007 - We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Praiano and Villa Vittoria. The views were outstanding!
The house itself is comfortable and well appointed. The owner met us at the house. He was polite and very accommodating.
We loved the Amalfi coast. It is a place of rare beauty. The people were wonderful. We will definitely return and when we do we will stay at Villa Vittoria if it is available!
We could not have been more pleased with your organization. You made everything smooth and easy. We salute your professionalism and have already recommended you to our friends and family!
Travel tips
- You do not need a car. The bus stop is very close to the house. The buses are modern, comfortable and inexpensive. It is only a few minutes to Positano and the same time to Amalfi going in the other direction.
- You can take a boat to Capri from the beach below the house.

September 2007 - Villa Vittoria is just superb. It is in a fantastic location with great views and a lovely big terrace on which to enjoy the scenery while having a meal, wine or morning coffee (or an evening glass limoncello or two!).
The villa itself is very spacious and easily accommodated five adults.
Raffaella, the owner, was a wonderful host, and helped carry the suitcases (much appreciated!) down the 63 steps and left us a basket of fresh figs in the morning.
We stayed mid-September and the weather was excellent, so we spent a lot of time on the terrace and very little inside.
I can highly recommend Villa Vittoria as a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
We will definitely use Summer in Italy again and will recommend to anyone travelling to Italy. The information provided is accurate and factual so there were no "surprises" on arrival. Your booking system was easy to follow and professionally run. It was a pleasure to deal with both Luca and Andrea. Thank you also for recommending Claudio for car hire - he and his drivers were very prompt and courteous and the cars are new and clean. I can highly recommend his services. Having reviewed various Internet sites and spoken to colleagues who have used other companies for booking in Italy, I can honestly say that Summer In Italy is the number one choice and I will definitely be using your services again in the future. Thank you for making our holiday memorable.
Travel tips
- Praiano is a friendly town and not as touristy as Positano or Amalfi and the locals treated us like guests. We were fortunate to be there for the Feast of San Gennaro and joined in the procession and evening celebrations and fireworks. A wonderful experience indeed.
- The beach is close by and a fairly easy walk with a selection of restaurants to choose from.
- The town center of Praiano is a 15-20 minute walk, and there is the option to catch the local bus for one euro should you wish, although the schedule is subject to how busy the roads are!
- For five euro/day you can get a Sita bus pass which will take you most places along the Amalfi Coast, so if you miss the local Praiano bus you can also catch the Sita. We did have a long wait to catch a Sita bus to Amalfi as the first one was full and it's a matter of waiting for the next one to come along.
- We got the bus to Sorrento and then the train to Pompeii which was a great day out.
- There are some good restaurants in the town of Praiano and we can highly recommend the local grocery shops for fresh meats, salads, cheese and bread. There is a Tabacchi (small shop) about 100 meters up the road which has basic provisions including beer, wine, soft drinks and water. When walking it was easier to stop here on the way back as it was closer rather than carry stuff from town.

August 2007 - We thought it was an excellent location, with fantastic views, easy access to beach and local restaurants.
The villa was well equipped and we really enjoyed our time there.
We felt that the service was excellent. With plenty of information prior to our departure date which gave us every confidence that everything would be fine upon arrival, which it was. Have already recommended Summer In Italy to another family member.
Travel tips
- Rather than driving along the coast road, you can easily take a water taxi from the jetty below the villa to nearby towns.

June 2007 - The house was all that was promised on the Summer in Italy website.
We made good use of the terrace for meals and for looking at the views and variety of activity on the water.
The kids (7 and 9) handled the walk to the beach without complaints and they also enjoyed the small pool at the house.
The gentleman who met us at the house was also charming and spoke English.
We would definitely use you again. Everything was easy to organise and I think you are more honest with your descriptions than other agencies that we have used.
Travel tips
- We rented a small boat for 2 separate half-days and had a wonderful time exploring up and down the coast.
- If you like to cook at home, then we recommend stopping at the supermarket for major items on the way. However most things are available in Praiano.

May 2007 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Vittoria. The location was just perfect for exploring the Amalfi Coast and Bay of Napoli.
The villa has all the amenities that we were looking for; the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were really comfortable.
We stayed for a week in mid-May, so the traffic on the main road was not very noticeable.
The whole area around the villa was just so beautiful, and the view from the balconies was indescribable.
I found your website very user friendly, and your search engine was really well designed. I was really happy with your pictures of the places, and when we walked into Villa Vittoria, it was like we had already been there.
Travel tips
- If you are going to the excavations in Pompeii, pay the money to take the toll road toward Naples for one exit. If you try to find it coming from the villa, you will get lost!
- Try shopping in the outdoor flea-market in Amalfi on Wednesday morning, they had some really great bargains.

May 2007 - The villa is not in a town, which might be a drawback for some people. But since we were taking a vacation so we could be together as a family, it was absolutely perfect. The view is fabulous, the scent of the lemon blossoms in the evening stunning, we even had a place to park our rental car, not always an option on the Amalfi coast.
And the landlord was helpful and friendly.
Everything was perfect!
Unfortunately, Villa Vittoria can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
