Very good

September 2014 - Our stay at Villa Ursula B was enjoyable.

We would recommend it to others but with a warning: there is street noise at times of the day and, with the new restaurant below the property, there can be noise at times as guests leave at night. But the restaurant meal was great the evening we went to it.

Fantastic

July 2014 - We had a wonderful 10 days stay at Villa Ursula B.

Personally, I felt the views from the balcony, the rooms and terrace are some of the best to be found in Positano. The only slight disadvantage of the apartment was having to share the terrace with the other apartment so if we were to book again I would make sure we had friends or family with us and we could use the whole property.

Summer In Italy is quite honestly the best on-line agency I have every used. From the moment I started looking on-line there was someone to help. You were always there with helpful advice and reminders when payments would be going out and your organization regarding contacts, telephone numbers etc. was superb. I would not hesitate to use you again or to recommend to friends and family travelling to Italy. We really had the most wonderful holiday we can remember - and we are a family who travels a lot! Many thanks.

Travel tips

  • Villa Ursula B is a wonderful base from which to explore Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mount Vesuvius and Naples.
  • We loved so much the restaurants in Positano - particularly Restaurant Le Tre Sorelle in the town square.
  • We cooked some great meals at home with foods bought from the lovely family who own the delicatessen in the village.

Very good

June 2014 - Villa Ursula B is a really lovely spacious apartment with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast.

Great wrap around balcony stretching from both bedrooms and across the living room area. Outside space was adequate, however it could easily be made more attractive as it was just a concrete area with some planters. Having said that there was plenty of room for 4 people to sit and sunbathe and to dine outside weather permitting.

Good location, even though on the edge of Positano, it was an easy walk into the town.

Had really great service from Summer In Italy and quick responses from any queries that I had. Melanie in particular was particularly helpful. I would certainly have no hesitation booking with summer In Italy again.

Travel tips

  • Bus stop close by. Restaurant underneath the apartment if you didn't want to walk too far, although it was more expensive than other restaurants with small sized portions, but very tasty. Recommend taking the red sightseeing bus instead of the local buses as a seat was guaranteed on the sightseeing bus and the local buses get really full and hot. Definitely worth paying the extra money for the sightseeing bus.

Fantastic

June 2014 - We had a wonderful time at Villa Ursula B.

The villa is clean, well furnished, and has lovely views. The location was perfect for catching the bus or ferry to visit other towns on the Amalfi Coast. Because the villa is on the main street, there can be some noise. But we really weren't bothered by it.

Katya [the caretaker] was wonderful. She recommended great restaurants and really wanted to make sure we had a great vacation.

We found Summer In Italy to be reliable and very easy to work with.

Travel tips

  • It is a lovely walk down to the square and then to the beach. The walk up is a bit strenuous, but manageable.
  • Ask the deli to deliver any groceries that you buy!
  • Pack light because suitcases have to be taken up approximately 30 steps!
  • Be sure to eat at Restaurant La Terra - fabulous!!
  • Restaurant Da Bruno was excellent, close, and had a lovely view.
  • Take the sightseeing bus or ferry to other towns. The cost is not that much more, and you will be guaranteed a seat. This is not always the case with the public bus.
  • Our favorite walk - do take the local Positano public bus to the top and stroll down.

September 2013 - Loved our stay. Villa Ursula B was perfect size for our family of five. Positano is just spectacular.

Excellent service for our very last minute booking -- thank you!

Travel tips

  • Without a pool, you need to swim down at the beach. You need to walk about 1 km down the hill to the beach and then of course, walk back up after you are done [or use the interno bus]. You also need to remember its a black sand/rock beach and there is only a very small "public" beach area. To use the beach chairs and umbrellas in the larger area, it costs Eur 12.50 per person.
  • Many really great restaurants (with spectacular views), so we didn't eat in much.
  • Definitely worthwhile doing a day boat trip along the coastline and to Capri.

Travel tips

  • We had two very memorable meals at Il Ritrovo and La Tagliata - and they picked us up and drove us to the restaurant and back.
  • Plenty of things to do - Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, the beach.
  • It is expensive in Positano - but the experience is great.

October 2012 - Great Villa, walking distance to Positano centre and really close to bus stop.

Parking space is a luxury in Positano, although you did have to jump out of the car, unlock front door and open up garage from inside, all on a tight Amalfi Coast bend in the road. All part of the fun!

Villa is located on the main road so there is some noise at night but nothing we didn't get used to. Best feature is the terrace, we were in Positano for our wedding and we hosted a party for 30 on the terrace and could have had twice as many.

Owners very helpful, found out from our ID that it was my mother's birthday so delivered a birthday cake. Flowers also arrived when they found out we were getting married.

Villa is a little difficult to locate - no one could find us ie Pizza delivery, taxi's etc but we gave the the bus stop as a landmark.

We had 5 sleeping and we use both fold out beds which I'm told were surprisingly comfortable.

Definitely recommend.

Travel tips

  • We had our wedding reception at Restaurant La Tagliata up at Montopertuso - you must go! They will arrange pick up and drop off for a small fee.

July 2012 - Ursula B was outstanding! The view from every room was breathtaking and we could not get enough of the it.

The air conditioning was fantastic as it was so very hot. Fernanda [the caretaker] was so friendly, as was everyone, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Of all the places I have travelled I found that the people and service in Positano was "over the top"!! We were greeted in all places with such warmth and were made to feel like royalty. The only other thing I have to say is I can't wait to return and have already started to plan the next trip! Until then Ciao to all our new friends in Italy!!

Summer in Italy is fantastic, all the advice was great and very helpful. The site shows the villa just as it is and the details are very good. Service was so friendly and I would recommend the site to everyone. I just wish I could have actually spent the entire "summer in Italy". Thank you to everyone.

Travel tips

  • Ask Fernanda [the caretaker] for her advice on all the hot restaurants and places to visit. All the places she suggested were great.
  • The boat trip to the private beach, the many restaurants, too many to mention and all were great... my favorite was Max, the food was outstanding and the service and decor was out of this world!
  • Take a private boat tour for the day on the coast, you will love the beautiful sites, snorkeling and the water is so very crystal clear!!
  • Visit Pompeii and take a cooking class at Mamma Agata's in Ravello, it was outstanding.

June 2012 - My family and I a family of 5 have just returned from a fantastic week in Villa Ursula B. We arrived later then expected but our check in was easy and effortless.

The villa is very clean and spacious, also. With the heat wave that hit Italy it was nice to have a/c that kept the villa very cool.

A big thank you to Angela's [the owner] mother for the cake she left us one morning and also all the help Fernanda, her property manager, gave us in recommending restaurants and place to see and go.

We would recommend this villa to any one going to Positano. We hope to return soon.

Travel tips

  • The free parking is a great touch to the villa and from what we read it is not cheap and easy to find parking in Positano.

June 2012 - This was our second time in the Villa and it is ideal. The availability of a garage makes parking easy.

The service is very efficient and can't be faulted.

Travel tips

  • Remember to shop for a week at the supermarket at Castellammare di Stabia as the local shops in Positano carry limited stock.
  • If going to Herculaneum take a map - we never did find it as it is not signposted.

May 2012 - Villa Ursula B is a beautiful apartment with a panoramic view! Close enough to shops but away from the crowds.

We enjoyed it thoroughly and hope to return.

The people I corresponded with from Summer in Italy were very helpful. I will use this service again and recommend it to my friends and family.

Travel tips

  • Fernanda was our contact person for the apartment. She was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. She also offered to make arrangements for a driver when we wanted to tour the coast, as well as offered directions to Spaggia Fornillo.

Very good

May 2012 - First off, the views from Villa Ursula B are breathtaking. Waking up every morning to the view of the sea is amazing. My group was small (5 adults) and there was plenty of room, but if there were more people, it would be crowded, especially with only 2 bathrooms. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

I was extremely happy with the quality of service you had provided. All my questions were answered promptly and each person seemed very cordial... granted we were only communicating via email. Thank you so much for making our stay in Italy, something to remember!

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to do a lot of walking.
  • If the outdoor lights aren't working, then the walk up the villa stairs is very dark.
  • The place is quite clean and well kept.

May 2012 - Loved it. We even rented a car and parked it in their garage. It was tricky getting in since other cars were parked there, but over all excellent. Angela and Fernanda could not have been more caring. They were so nice and understanding if I needed anything from them. I am already recommending it to our friends. Our first time to Positano and loved it. I even became friends with Emilia, the lady from the Market.

I have great pictures and wonderful memories!

What really make me book with you was the location. Been our first time to Positano wanted to stay close to the water and the shops, not to mention the restaurants. They were awesome. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner Mediterraneo, La Tagliata, Caffe Ristorante Positano, and in Anacapri, Ristorante Pizzeria Barbarossa. Plus your advice and information before the trip made it very simple to get to the Villa. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • Do not bring a heavy suit case. Hard to bring upstairs.
  • There are may things to enjoy in the area, but a must to take trips to the Amalfi Coast, Furore, Ravello, and of course, Napoli, Sorrento and the ruins.
  • Will help to get established and rent a car for this day trips. We did and was magnificent.

October 2011 - We enjoyed ourselves very much. Location is great, not in the center of town, which we did not want, but close (walk or bus) to everything.

The balcony outside the dinning and bedroom area allowed us to enjoy the view of the sea and people watch at the same time.

We would recommend it to others.

Summer in Italy did a great job and provided help whenever asked to do so. We were very pleased with all involved with the villa. Would recommend Summer in Italy to anyone traveling to Italy and looking for a place to stay.

Travel tips

  • Very small but convenient grocery store located approx. 50 feet west of villas street entrance. Basic food, drink, and other supplies available.
  • Really enjoyed visit to Montepertuso. 15 to 20 min. ride via local bus. Very small town, nice, quiet. Hiked to "hole through the mountain" then had great lunch at Restaurant Il Ritrovo. Great staff, great food (mussels) and wine.
  • Disappointed with dinner at Ristorante Da Bruno. Average food, poor service, ignored by waiter after food was delivered.

October 2011 - Villa Ursula B is a fantastic apartment in a most amazing position. It is an easy 10 minute walk down to the centre of Positano. The Amalfi coast bus stops about 30 metres away.

We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room. We also had a car which we left in the free on-site carpark for the entire week.

The pictures on the website don't actually do the Villa justice. It is superb!!!

I have self booked several trips over the years to Europe and "Summer in Italy" is by far the best agency i have ever used! Keep up the good work.

Travel tips

  • If you get the opportunity hire scooters and ride down the coast to Amalfi and also up to Ravello. The views are out of this world.
  • We also hired a boat from the beach in Positano. In about 20 minutes we were in Amalfi harbour then a slow cruise back stopping at several beach bars on the way. We paid Euro 100 for 2 hours which seemed pretty reasonable.

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Da Bruno restaurant just down the road was very nice for sea food.
  • Restaurant La Tagliata restaurant is above the town but offers a free shuttle. The food is rustic but delicious and the views are amazing.
  • Go to the butcher's at the bottom of the steps into the town and the delicatessen beside the church for the best fruit/vegetables.
  • If you are getting a private transfer to Naples airport you will be advised to leave 2 or 2 and a half hours. It took us 1 hour so a lot of extra time in the airport! [true, but drivers must allow for detours, traffic... they can't allow you to miss your flight!]
  • Renting a boat for a for 4 hours cost eur 90. It was fun jumping off the boat, swimming and bringing a picnic.
  • If you're visiting Pompeii it's much cheaper to make your own way there on the Sita bus to Sorrento eur 7 return and then get the train eur 2.10.
  • The Fornillo beach is much cleaner and nicer then the Spiaggia Grande.
  • The tourist office beside the church is great for getting information on day trips.

July 2011 - Villa Ursula B was fantastic! Great location and amazing views. You could sit and watch the view all day and night from the balcony or the terrace.

The villa is bright and airy, well maintained and very clean. The villa is on a busy road so it was a bit noisy but you can't hear it when the windows are closed at night.

We had a great time in Positano and will definitely stay here again when we return.

Thank you Luca and team from Summer in Italy. The website was very informative and easy to use. Summer in Italy were very helpful with all of our queries and when making the booking/payments etc. We will definitely book with Summer in Italy when we return.

May 2011 - We absolutely loved the view out of the entire villa. It was fabulous! It was exactly as portrayed in the photos. It was very clean. The management were right there if we needed help.(I couldn't figure out the washing machine).

I would definitely recommend this villa. If you need a washcloth for showering you will need to bring one [washcloths are unheard of in Italy!].

I feel Summer In Italy did a good job in communicating about our rental and gave good information about getting there and what to expect. Good Job!!

Travel tips

  • Bring a washcloth if you like to use one as none is provided [washcloths are unheard of in Italy! We use sponges, but they are considered personal items, such as toothbrushes, and never provided. They can be both at supermarkets.].
  • We took a day trip to Capri and then took a guided tour bus to Anacapri and walked up to the summit for a fabulous view.

September 2010 - We had a lovely trip to Positano and staying at the Villa Ursula B was a big part of that. At the end of our week, we all decided the best times were the evenings we sat on the terrace for dinner, drinking wine, eating, and watching the moon rise over the cliffs.

The apartment was comfortable, if a little sparse, but very clean. We decided it was the perfect location and enjoyed being able to easily walk everywhere.

It is a very comfortable and spacious villa which is just a pleasant stroll to the heart of Positano. It is close to a fantastic little bar called Li Galli Bar (named after the islands you can see in their fantastic views) which we passed (and always stopped at) on the way to and from the beach and shops.

Lovely people, great spot, comfortable beds... we made use of the barbecue too!

Will definitely book with Summer In Italy again if I am blessed enough to visit Italy, in particular the Amalfi Coast, again. Thank you so much

September 2010 - Villa Ursula B was large and light and had the best views from every window. It was exactly as it was presented on the website. It also has a little balcony which I sat on to view the world passing by. This was my favourite spot.

The villa is on the main road but this provided us a great deal of entertainment and was not noisy. Only a short walk to the main shopping area and the local SITA and interno bus stop 20 metres from the front door.

We used the terrace for most of our meals and this was extremely pleasant although lighting to climb the stairs to the villa after dark was sparse.

We would definitely recommend this villa and if we were lucky enough to have another holiday in Positano this is where we would stay. Positano is definitely the best spot on the Amalfi Coast to stay.

Summer in Italy was fabulous from beginning to end and thank you Luca for your prompt replies to my enquiries and your informative updates. We had never booked over the web before so initially was a little nervous but you are great and I would recommend your site to anyone looking for a genuinely honest and accurate assessment of the accommodation you advertise.

Travel tips

  • Bring some thongs with you as the beaches have large pebbles, especially the little beach around the cliff pathway after the boat sheds which we used the most. Thongs are the only way to get to the water comfortably.
  • Catch the SITA bus to Ravello which is beautiful and do the day trip to Capri, although Capri itself was disappointing the boat trip there and back was wonderful.
  • Definitely go to Pompeii and give yourself a few hours there.
  • Buy your groceries from the Delikatessen in the pedestrian shopping centre and get your meat from the little butcher at the bottom of the steps of this Deli.
  • Restaurant Da Bruno just down the road has great food at a reasonable price.

August 2010 - We really enjoyed our stay at Viila Ursula. The Villa was so spacious plenty of room for the 7 of us (two families; be prepared for plenty of walking, though there is a bus to take you back up the steep climb after your exhausting stay at the beach). The beach was disappointing, the beds for hire were 15euro each per day!! Not very economical for the 7 of us!! But you can always throw down your towel anywhere next to the section kept for those who wish to pay for these ridiculous prices. To use the shower after bathing in the sea is 1 euro.

The local shops were expensive and the few deli's had everything you could possibly need but pricey!!

Positano is breathtaking, I will never forget the views from the villa and the lovely laid back atmosphere a wonderful base to explore the Amalfi Coast!!

Summer In Italy is a brilliant company with good advice, really helpful from beginning to end.

July 2010 - We could not have picked better accommodations for our stay in Positano!!

Villa Ursula B offered two large bedrooms, two full baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as a delightful wrap-around balcony and large terrace overlooking the mountains and the Mediterranean.

We were in walking distance of shops, restaurants, beaches, and our favourite delicatessen.

Villa Ursula B was well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our dream vacation in "paradise".

As much as we enjoyed the hot weather during our stay, we were very thankful for the efficient thermostat controlled air conditioning system and having a dishwasher and a washing machine was great.

We appreciated the warm welcome we received upon arrival, the suggestions and tours booked on our behalf and the hospitality extended throughout our week-long stay.

Without reservation, we highly recommend Villa Ursula B and hope to return again some day soon!

June 2010 - It is a beautiful villa! Everything was top quality. The location was perfect, the contact person was very cordial, the view was outstanding, appreciated the cleaning during the week. It was hot while we were there and the air conditioning was a great plus!! I would book this unit again!

If we decided to visit another area I would continue to use Summer in Italy as the process was so perfect down to recommendations of others. Do not be scared off by those who complain about the steps. I am a senior and they are nothing - especially given that you are on the Amalfi coast and have to expect that. If everything were flat we could not experience what makes it so beautiful.

Your service is awesome. We have booked with another company several times in the past but the experience with you was our best!

Travel tips

  • Claudio Lucibello picked us up in Naples and was wonderful. He took us to Pompeii since we arrived early in the day to have something to do while the apartment was being cleaned.
  • Restaurant Da Bruno was close and good. We loved Buca di Bacco, Max, and Restaurant La Cambusa in Positano, Restaurant da Gemma in Amalfi and Restaurant Cumpa Cosimo in Ravello.
  • Buy bus tickets from the little gas station just past the stop in Positano just down from the apartment.
  • We found the boat to Amalfi more pleasurable than the bus although we used the bus several times also.
  • If you want to experience a great lido rather than a sandy beach, go to Lido Capo di Conca. Take the bus towards Amalfi, get off in Conca Dei Marini at Hotel Belvedere and there is a little hut on the road where you pay. You walk down several steps where a little jeep type vehicle picks you up and drives you down most of the rest of the way. It is all situated on a cement outcropping with lounges, umbrellas, a pool, restrooms and a very good cafe. There is a shower, diving board and ladder into the sea. My husband and I discovered this several years ago and I think it is lovely!!
  • The bar and pasticceria La Zagara in Positano has fabulous desserts, gelato etc. and great entertainment in the evenings.
  • We hired a boat and driver down at the main marina in Positano with Cassiopea. He took us out in a Zodiac type boat all along the coast as far as Ravello -- just the two of us, letting us jump out and swim into grottoes etc.
  • If you go to Capri, take the little bus to AnaCapri and then take the chairlift. It is a scenic ride with great views and a cafe at the top.

July 2009 - It was fabulous, probably the best holiday we have ever had. We have all been back one week and talking about when we will go again.

The Villa presented just as it was displayed on the website and the views were stunning even from the shower. The Villa is nicely furnished and air conditioned throughout which we needed in July. It is well appointed if you want to cook an Italian meal from time to time. 6 of us shared the Villa and it was very comfortable, we did not want to leave.

Villa Ursula B also has a large balcony which you can walk out onto from the bedrooms and lounge room which was an added bonus (Villa A does not have this).

The location is also excellent as bus-stop just outside door and easy walk down-hill to centre of town. It is also drop off point for buses to Sorrento, Amalfi etc.

We will definitely be going back to Positano and will definitely be booking Villa Ursula B again.

The owner was very helpful and and everything was ready for us when we arrived, hassle free.

We would also suggest that you book through Summer In Italy, we dealt with Luca for some months prior to going to Positano and the service we received from him was outstanding. We were having some troubles finding the right accommodation in timeframes we needed and Luca was tireless in providing us with assistance. Lucky for us it was Villa Ursula B and the owner working with us to meet our needs. Luca was also fantastic in answering a million questions about cars, trains etc., for weeks before we departed.

We cannot fault our stay in Positano everything was perfetto! The people are great and the coastline and surrounding towns simply stunning. We were really happy we made the decision to stay in Positano rather than Sorrento or other small towns, it is an experience not to be missed. Oh and you don't need a car buses and ferries will take you everywhere you want to go. Driving is do so at your own risk! But if you game rent a scooter just for the experience not for the faint hearted!

Travel tips

  • Bus stop is right outside the door.
  • Take ferry to Amalfi and don't miss going to Ravello from there very old town and beautiful hills you feel like you climbing up into the sky.
  • If you want to see best sunset in Italy have dinner at the terrace restaurant Hotel Bellevue Syrene in Sorrento - the best food and location - stunning. You can get bus outside Villa to Sorrento and same one back after dinner, well worth it.

What a lovely appartment, it is very easy to get to/from and is extremely well-kept and clean.

Cannot say enough good things about this villa.

May 2009 - We shared Ursula B with another family, so it was a great space for 4 adults and 4 small children. There was plenty of shared space but also enough space to have privacy as well.

The location in Positano was terrific, and the arrangements/communications made in advance with Summer In Italy were spot on.

Your communication was outstanding as was your advice about which villa/s might best suit us. I really appreciated the packet sent in advance, too.

Travel tips

  • The grocery/shop just outside the front door and to the right has the basics and is extremely convenient. But, for more supplies and delicious fresh cheese, meats, marinated antipasti--and super friendly assistance--go to the Delikatessen in the pedestrian shopping area (only a 10 min. walk from Ursula B).
  • Also recommend you take the local bus to the "top" of Positano and then meander your way down through the pathways and stairs. There are some GREAT views from there plus you'll see the REAL Positano.

May 2009 - The standard of accommodation exceeded my expectations. The location and the views were excellent.

Sitting on the terrace in the afternoon with a drink and a book then cooking dinner on the BBQ was great.

It was on the main road so there was a little bit of road noise but we had the advantage of driving our car into the garage downstairs.

Summer in Italy were a pleasure to deal with and responded to all emails in a prompt manner. The advice sheets sent to us were very useful.

Travel tips

  • Delikatessen on Via dei Mulini has great choice of freshly made dishes produce and wines if you want to eat in at home and there is a butcher shop next door.
  • Day trips to Pompeii and Capri are a must. If going to Capri head up to Anacapri and visit Villa San Michele.
  • Restaurant Bruno just down the road from the apartment is a great value restaurant with great views sitting next to the road.

April 2009 - The location is great, the owners are very nice, both bedrooms are spacious, the car park is very important, the view is super, there is a cleaning service twice a week.

Suitable for 2 couples or for 2 families with 2-3 children.

We loved the place.

Thank you.

Travel tips

  • Positano is the best place to stay in. Travel all day in other places, then come to the villa, leave your things and walk to the center.
  • Please don't miss: Montepertuso, Furore, Amalfi, Sorrento and Pompei.
  • We where very disappointed by Capri. The tour is very expensive, the cave is very small and it takes only 3-4 minutes to see it all.

October 2008 - We enjoyed our stay in Ursula B, but the noise from the street is a big problem. Starting early in the day until late in the evening you can hear cars, motor cycles, and buses. The buses honk their horn as they pass the corner in the street that is in front of the apartment.

August 2008 - Villa Ursula B was excellent overall. Seldom does any accommodation live up to its photos, but it definitely did.

It was very spacious and really well designed.

Everything we needed was provided, even shower caps, soap, hairdryer etc which we didn't expect.

It's about 7 mins walk from the centre of Positano so very convenient in that way too.

There are about 25 steps up to the villa which is a bit of a pain with cases, but if you're coming to Positano, you'd better get used to steps... the whole town seems to involve going up and down steps... It'll keep you fit!

We were very pleased overall.

Travel tips

  • Don't bring a hairdryer... there's one provided.
  • Bringing a travel kettle to make tea might be helpful as we had to boil water in a saucepan... couldn't live without our tea!

July 2008 - We were thrilled with Villa Ursula B.

The view from every room was fantastic and the location very convenient to the centre of the village. The arrangements all went smoothly and dealing with Angela [the owner] was a joy.

The only thing that went wrong was that the dishwasher didn't work, but that was only a minor inconvenience.

Thank you Luca and Summer in Italy for a fabulous week in Positano. We found our dealings with your company to be easy and reliable. We would definitely book with Summer in Italy again.

Dishwasher has been fixed -- Angela apologizes for the inconvenience!

Travel tips

  • We enjoyed dinner at Bruno's.
  • A day trip to Capri with Gennaro and Salvatore was brilliant.
  • Day trips to Amalfi, Ravello and Pompeii also worthwhile.
  • The drive along the coast road to Salerno is spectacular.

June 2008 - Our family had a wonderful stay at Ursula B. The location was superb and the views magnificent.

We spent a lot of time outdoors on the terrace and retreated to the wonderful cool of the apartment when it was too hot outside.

The air conditioners in the apartment were great as was the double-glazing on the windows, this cut out much of the road noise directly below the apartment at night.

We found the equipment in the kitchen rather basic even after we requested a full set of cutlery and other basic equipment such as a salad bowl, serving spoons and some wine glasses. The landlord was very prompt in providing these but the kitchen was still lean on equipment. The dishwasher did not wash sufficiently well so we hand washed our dishes.

Despite this we had a memorable stay at Ursula B and would recommend it to friends.

We were very happy with the service we had from Summer in Italy. The instructions to get to the villa were good, meaning we didn't get lost and frustrated. We booked with the company as a result of finding you on the Internet.

Travel tips

  • We rented a boat for an hour and took it along the coast to view Amalfi from the water. Before returning to shore we tied up to a buoy and dived into the deep blue sea, it was heaven!
  • We took the walking tour of Positano on the 2nd to last day and it was well worth it. Christine was a wonderful tour guide and gave us an interesting history of this wonderful town. Do it as soon as you can after you arrive.

June 2008 - Villa Ursula B was a perfect place to stay and did not disappoint in any way.

Wrap around balcony off of both bedrooms was awesome, there was even an ocean view from the bathroom too!

Very clean and the owner was very nice/helpful and easy to contact and understand.

Perfect location for getting on and off of the bus which we did frequently, and for getting down to the shops/restaurants which we did even more frequently.

Quiet when sleeping as the doors really keep the street noise out.

The pictures are very accurate of this villa. We loved it and cannot wait to come back!

Everything was great. Every time I emailed before our trip with a question, I got a response almost right away which reassures the traveler as well. Great job!

Travel tips

  • Le Tre Sorelle restaurant has unbelievable pizza -- prosciutto and mozzarella.
  • Buca di Bacco restaurant had great service and wonderful food.
  • Fornillo beach was worth going to, a little less crowded and less expensive than Spiaggia Grande and only a short walk.

May 2008 - We really enjoyed Villa Ursula B. We recommend this place to anyone.

It was nearby everything. We could walk to go to the grocery store, to the beach, to the restaurants.

It was also nice to have a garage for the car.

We want to go back in Italy and we will use SummerinItaly again. Thanks a lot!

Travel tips

  • Depend where you come from, you should stop to a grocery store before arriving to Positano. Because there are only small groceries in Positano.
  • We would recommend you to rent a Zodiac boat and visit the coast by the sea.
  • If you go to Capri, walk on the Arco Naturale (hiking trail). It worth the trip.

April 2008 - Using Summer in Italy for our villa rental was wonderful. The Villa was exactly as pictured and your service in terms of answering questions and providing prompt answers was above expectations. I would recommend Summer in Italy to anyone looking to rent a Villa in Italy.

Villa Ursula B was a great place to stay for our week on the Amalfi coast and a great value for the money.

The villa has magnificent views from all living spaces and is perfect for two couples since both bedrooms are large with king beds and terraces and it has two bathrooms.

The location is on the main road very close to the bus stop for trips to Amalfi and Sorrento or the town bus and is an easy walk to the main lower town and the beach. It also has a garage parking spot if one arrives by car.

Even though the villa is on the main road we did not find it noisy at night when we were trying to sleep.

It is simply furnished, but has all of the essentials.

If you are two couples or a family I would recommend Villa Ursula B as a perfect place to stay on the Amalfi coast.
