Location is superb and despite being on main road was very quiet inside. We would stay again.

Fantastic

October 2016 - Villa Ursula A is a very clean and well furnished apartment. Excellent terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline.

Great location: 1 minute walk to bus stop, and 5 minute walk to center of Positano.

This was our first visit to Italy and we were very impressed by the responsive and helpfulness of the folks at Summer In Italy. Booking and payment was easy and there were no adverse surprises.

Travel tips

  • Positano has lots of shops, bars and boat excursions to places such as Capri.
  • Shopping for groceries is a little limited and best done before mid afternoon.
  • Having the bus stop for Amalfi and Sorrento just outside the front door was a great convenience.
  • Try Restaurant La Tagliata at the top of the mountain, in Montepertuso. Food is outstanding and the dishes keep coming. You will not go away hungry or disappointed!

Very good

September 2016 - Despite the busy street, Villa Ursula A was fairly quiet, possibly because the A/C was on and the windows closed. The view was pleasing. The bedrooms were large and had enough drawer space and clothes hangers. The living and dining rooms also large but lighting in living room was poor. Another lamp and table are necessary, 2 dining room chairs are comfy but the round seated ones are not. The kitchen was adequate. The terrace was our biggest disappointment: very large and decent separation for the 2 units sharing, but lounges and chairs uncomfortable, both need cushions.

The location was excellent, very close to the bus stop and fairly close to grocery stores. We appreciated the relatively few stairs to reach the property.

Excellent service from Summer In Italy, we will definitely direct people to your site. All your information and help prior to departure was great and also your follow up.

Travel tips

  • The restaurant below, Casa Mele is excellent.
  • The gas station part way down the street leading to the town center has a good store and sells wine.
  • The deli in town (on the way to the beach) is great.
  • You can pay the local bus driver for the bus ride but the other buses to other cities need tickets which you buy at the tobacco shop at the bottom of the hill in the center which means a walk up and down every time. They provide a information booth (young lady) at the top of the hill near the bus stops but she cannot sell bus tickets!

September 2016 - We spent 6 nights at Villa Ursula A after spending 8 days in Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris. We (4 adults) all agreed that this was the best accommodation of all.

We were met by Katia [the caretaker] upon our arrival who walked us through the apartment, gave us advice and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

It was large and the bedrooms were at opposite ends of the apartment so everyone had their privacy. The apartment was spotless and the added bonus was they came to clean half way through our stay.

Everything we needed to make meals we could find in the kitchen and although we had been warned that the beds may not be as comfortable as the ones we have in Canada, we all found them very comfortable.

We started and ended each day sitting on the terrace (great furniture) admiring the spectacular view. The location of the apartment was wonderful. We could walk everywhere. Because we were on the main road, sometimes the traffic noise was a little loud but we were on a bend and the cars slowed down so it wasn't too bad and it was a small price to pay for the convenience and the unbelievable views.

This apartment more than met our expectations and I would recommend it to any of my friends.

Finally, this was my first experience dealing with Summer In Italy and they were outstanding. Any question I had they answered immediately and the newsletters they sent out were very helpful.

I accidentally found you on the Internet and I am so glad I did. Don't change anything. Luca was fabulous and helped me feel more at ease with the whole process. You are great. I will definitely use you again for my next trip to Italy.

Travel tips

  • Positano is definitely the place for home base for the Amalfi Coast.
  • Day trips by bus are easy to get and user friendly.
  • Shop for groceries at the local stands.
  • Storekeepers are friendly and they will deliver your groceries.

July 2016 - We stayed in Villa Ursula A and we absolutely loved our stay there.

It was very clean, had nice cool tile floors, plenty of open space. The AC was great and the wi-fi worked for us. The view out the windows is spectacular.

Catia greeted us and brought us to the property, helped us park in the garage downstairs and showed us the apartment.

Would highly recommend staying here.

Travel tips

  • Very key to have parking there if you have a car.
  • We didn't need the car to get around town at all.
  • The walk into town is easy.
  • We were lucky enough to have a 20 minute fireworks show that we viewed from the balcony.

May 2016 - Villa Ursula A is an excellent apartment in an excellent location with breathtaking views.

Spacious even with 6 guests, well equipped with excellent maid service and added extras.

Lovely bright sunny decor (lemons will always remind me of this apartment in Positano) and parking a distinct and much appreciated bonus.

The road can be noisy but we expected this as the apartment is in the town. It did not detract from our enjoyment of Villa Ursula A and at times was even entertaining.

We all had an excellent time and wouldn't hesitate to return. We have recommended it to family and friends.

Keep doing what you are doing - you do it very well. The ability to chat on line enabled us to get exactly what we wanted and to book with confidence.

October 2015 - Villa Ursula A really is a great apartment and we would love to stay again.

It can be a little noisy during the day but that is due to it being on the road which in itself is convenient. Great location, great view, well equipped plus a garage and a very expansive terrace.

Travel tips

  • A general Positano comment - there are actually a few places to buy groceries including a small one next door - it just takes a while to find them, so it would help to ask the friendly owners and staff where they are.
  • We chose to have a car which we only used once or twice but it was good to have and the apartment has a garage but, beware that driving on the coast road is an "experience" and getting in and out of the garage is more an act of blind faith than anything else.
  • A private small boat trip to Amalfi allowing us to get into all the little coves etc. was great, and we then followed up by driving the next day to all the individual towns.

Fantastic

October 2015 - We were two couples travelling together so the 2 bed 2 bath Ursula A was perfect for our needs. The location was great, just near the SITA bus stop and the street leading down to the beach and restaurants.

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and the outdoor terrace was a perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day and admire the view. The apartment was very clean and we had everything we needed for a short holiday.

The staff at Summer in Italy were very efficient and the booking process was very easy. We got a very thorough handover from Katia [the caretaker] on behalf of the owner and she gave us some recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

There was a bit of street noise (as the apartment is right on a busy road) but it did not really bother us. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others. Cannot fault it.

Travel tips

  • It is definitely worth booking to go to the restaurant La Terra at Montepertuso (directly above the apartment high on the mountain). They sent a car to pick us up and dropped us back after dinner. We had a wonderful meal there for our friend's 60th birthday and the views were spectacular (make sure if you go you go at sunset).
  • We booked a day trip by boat to the Isle of Capri, travelled by bus and train to Pompeii (twice because it rained heavily the first time!!), and enjoyed just walking around the streets leading down to the beach.
  • This place is not for anyone with a disability or mobility problems there are hills and steps everywhere!

Fantastic

June 2015 - Villa Ursula was the perfect villa for our Amalfi Coast vacation. It had a garage for our car which was wonderful since there is such limited parking in Positano.

It was super clean, spacious, in great condition and in a wonderful location. We were able to walk to town, the beach and local shopping with no problem. Every window had a view of the ocean. The bedrooms are large with good storage. The bathrooms are great and the kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher which was terrific for Italy. The terrace is very large with a table and lounge chairs plus a barbecue and again great views! You only have to contend with road noise from traffic late nights and early mornings but a small price to pay for a premium location. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots, etc.

I would highly recommend this villa and the caretaker Angela was a delight and gave us great tips and insights into activities, restaurants, etc.

The site has an honest description about everything and they answered any questions we had. It was a delight to book with Summer in Italy. I would use the site again!

Travel tips

  • My only real advice is to book this place! Its fabulous. Just be prepared to buy things like dish soap, detergent and snacks or food to keep around the house.
  • The washing machine is small so do a load each day if needed and you'll be fine.
  • Go to La Terre restaurant... the best recommendation from Angela [the owner]!

October 2014 - Ursula A was absolutely beyond our expectations. The villa was very modern, clean and had many more amenities that we would have thought. It was basically a modern day "condo" with all modern appliances, hair dryer, full size iron and ironing board, etc.

Because the villa was located right on the main thoroughfare of Positano, the traffic noise was constant until after midnight, but it should not be a deterrent for renting this lovely villa.

Since there was only 3 of us (it sleeps 6 or more very comfortably), we did not use all of the "perts" that were offered. The terrace was huge with a barbecue grill for cooking out. There's also a 3 car garage underneath, so parking a car is not a problem (pulling out is an adventure since the villa is on a main thoroughfare).

This villa would be great for a couple of families. All in all, I would highly recommend this villa.

Your website was fantastic. I was referred to you by a friend who used you last year. You give all the information that anyone would ever need. I already have recommended you to several people who are planning future trips to Italy, and if I ever plan on visiting Italy again, I would definitely use you again. BRAVO!

Travel tips

  • Our favorite restaurant was Restaurant Da Bruno, which was only about a couple of blocks from the villa.
  • Restaurant Chez Black's, down at the beach, was good , as well as Cafe Zagara (where we ate breakfast most mornings).
  • Try not to miss Capri, Sorrento (limoncello shops), Pompeii and Vesuvio (which we actually climbed to the top of the crater).

June 2014 - Villa Ursula A was very clean and immaculate. Bedrooms have a good size, the kitchen is very tidy and has excellent glassware.

We were disappointed by the new restaurant which had opened under the apartment because there was some noise (voices and scooters leaving between 10 and 2 am frequently) - not what we were wanting in this piece of Paradise.

The caretaker, Katia, was extremely helpful throughout our stay.

Very happy with Summer In Italy.

June 2014 - Lovely, roomy, well-equipped villa with breathtaking views. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the villa which was spotless!

Large expansive terrace with grill, deck chairs, and rack for drying laundry.

It's a little noisy with scooters on the street, but I can't imagine that there are any lodgings in Positano that are quieter. Villa is right across the street from the bus stop which is very convenient.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Villa Ursula A again!

Travel tips

  • There is a deli nearby that sells groceries which makes eating in convenient.
  • We made extensive use of the bus and train while in Positano. Don't bother driving these picturesque but hazardous roads.
  • Be prepared to do some walking.

May 2014 - We absolutely loved Villa Ursula A. It was HUGE and very nicely decorated. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The location was amazing and the view was absolutely unbeatable. The only complaint that we had is that because several windows overlook the busy main road, there was road noise in the apartment, particularly in the bedrooms.

I had a great experience booking the apartment through Summer in Italy. The staff was really helpful. We plan to return to Italy in the next few years and I will use Summer in Italy again.

Travel tips

  • I recommend renting a car. All of the guidebooks said that driving on the Amalfi Coast is extremely intimidating, but my husband had the time of his life. It isn't as bad as it is made out to be, and we had lots of fun driving around and exploring. This apartment has a great garage that makes it much easier than it would be otherwise.
  • There are a few small convenience shops near the apartment where you can get things like bread and milk. There is a larger grocery store in the pedestrian area where you can get just about anything you need to cook.
  • We had a wonderful drive and day-trip to Pompeii.
  • We enjoyed taking a book and sitting on the beach.

September 2013 - My wife Merril and I stayed for 2 weeks in September 2013 and Ursula A was everything the Summer in Italy web site said, a really nice place to stay in a perfect location for us.

We used the kitchen a number of times to cook meals, all the rooms were very roomy and comfortable. Very large and roomy villa, our only minor issue was the A/C has a set temp and cannot be adjusted and we found it on some nights a little too warm.

The terrace we also used a lot (although the BBQ did not work, suspect no gas, however this did not really worry us) and the terrace was perfect for relaxing.

It's quite a busy road but given the great location a little traffic noise was OK and not really intrusive once we had been there a day or so. 50 metres from key bus stop, 100 metres from Li Galli bar (really nice guys and good food) and a delightful 15 minute walk to the main beach.

We would happily stay there again and in fact have recommended to a friend who normally stays every 3 years on his visits in a hotel, and he was impressed.

Summer in Italy team were extremely helpful and responsive, I appreciated their advice and help, everything was as the team said it would be, happy to deal with Summer in Italy team on my next visit to Italy.

Travel tips

  • It is handy to everything: shops , bus stop for Amalfi or Sorrento or even the internal Positano bus although walking is simple and easy.
  • You literally don't need anything and if you do, Katia, the owners' assistant, will help without any problem.

September 2013 - We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Ursula A. The location is so convenient to all of the main attractions in Positano and having the bus stop just across from the villa made traveling to the other towns in the area extremely convenient.

The villa is just as pictured (and even a bit bigger than what I expected). The common space is very comfortable and the bedrooms are very spacious. We stayed at Villa Ursula A as two adult couples (no children) and found we had more than enough space. There were no arguments about who got which bedroom because both are spacious and comfortable (and on opposite sides of the villa so that everyone has privacy).

The property manager was very helpful in giving us trip suggestions and making dinner reservations. As others have noted, the only negative would be the noise level (mainly traffic) since the villa is located exactly on one of the main roads.

Overall, Villa Ursula A is highly recommended.

We greatly appreciated all of your assistance and will definitely book through Summer in Italy for our next trip. Your quick and thoughtful responses to each and every one of our questions made planning this trip extremely easy and stress-free. We have already recommended you to our friends who plan to travel to Italy next spring. THANK YOU.

Travel tips

  • Ladies -- there is really no need to bring high heels as you will walk up and down hill almost everywhere.
  • The grocery store in the main part of town will deliver groceries to the villa.

June 2013 - We stayed at Villa Ursula A. There were four of us my two teenage girls and my husband and I. We found there was plenty of room there for all of us - all rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The scenic views are fantastic from all rooms.

Positano is a quaint idyllic sea side town on the Amalfi Coast and should definitely be on everyone's "bucket list". There was a bit of noise from traffic below the villa but other than that it was no problem.

Lots of places to eat pretty expensive but you will pay in any popular tourist spot, best bet is to catch a bus to Sorrento to pick up groceries etc for a fraction of the price you pay in Positano.

Grazie to the staff and the caretaker for making our trip to Italy truly memorable

Travel tips

Travel tips

  • No need to hire a car. Parking is a problem and the roads are not ideal to drive on. The buses take you most places and the bust stop is close by.

October 2012 - We all had a fantastic time at Villa Ursula A. The only slight negative was the traffic noise, but one soon gets used to that - and after all it is part of the Positano experience to an extent. We were most impressed with the spacious rooms, the attractive furnishings and the quality of appliances.

I would recommend Villa Ursula A highly. The entire booking process, and interaction with the owners was excellent - they were very friendly and helpful, even with matters such as assistance with couriering a parcel back home, advice on shops and so forth.

We will definitely consider staying again at Villa Ursula if (when!) we return to Positano.

I was very happy with my experience with Summer In Italy. The booking was handled very professionally and efficiently. We received all the information and assistance that we needed, well ahead of our arrival.

I cannot fault Summer In Italy's service levels - it was an excellent experience.

I will definitely make use of your services again.

Travel tips

  • As the villa has a large garage, it is one of the few places to stay in Positano where one can bring a car without having to worry about parking.
  • It's also very convenient for the local buses as the stop is only about 100 m from the front door.
  • A drive west towards and beyond Amalfi is a wonderful trip to do - just allow the entire day as one keeps stopping to admire the view.
  • We took a day boat trip to Capri which was excellent value at around E45 per person.

September 2012 - Villa Ursula was absolutely spotless and gorgeous. Both bedrooms were large and spacious and the views from the terrace were absolutely amazing. Most nights we found ourselves sitting on the terrace enjoying the sound of the ocean and taking in the views.

The property manager was available at all times and worked in a shop approximately 100 m from the villa. She went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and answered all the questions we had.

There was a washing machine and dishwasher in the villa (you just have to pick up detergent) and an iron which I was pleasantly surprised about. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans and there is a grill on the terrace.

There is a great butcher shop and market on the way to the beach so we cooked dinner a couple nights.

The villa is located on the main road so it does get a bit noisy. It is also a bit of a walk to the beach. The way down isn't so bad but the entire walk back is uphill. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to Spiaggia Grande, but the views are breathtaking. All in all, this was a small price to pay for all the amenities Villa Ursula offered.

The bus stop is very close to the Villa but I would recommend taking the ferry in lieu of the bus whenever possible. The bus rides can be a bit nauseating and very crowded. The ferry is more spacious and gets you to your destination in a fraction of the time the bus takes.

If you fly into Rome, hire a driver!! The trip from Rome will be hellish at best between taking 2 trains, a bus and walking uphill with your luggage. Trust me, it's an expense worth paying.

Summer in Italy was extremely helpful and easy to reach. I would book all future trips to the area through them moving forward and will recommend them to anyone travelling to the South of Italy.

Travel tips

  • There are so many great places in Positano and it is a fantastic location for day trips. You can take the ferry to many different locations from the dock at Spiaggia Grande. We went to Capri and Amalfi by ferry.
  • Restarant Da Vincenzo: hands down the best meal we had in Positano.
  • Restaurant Max: great food and wine, entire restaurant is an art gallery.
  • Li Galli Bar: fantastic espresso and cappuccino.
  • Restaurant O'Capurale: great local restaurant near the beach.
  • Restauant Il Capitano: fantastic views and great local white wine.
  • La Zagara: live entertainment at night and great desserts.
  • Music on the Rocks: great night club, but pricey.
  • Highly recommend a day trip to Capri and the Blue Grotto is not to be missed. The boat tour of the island was fantastic, but move away from the touristy restaurants on the beach for lunch/dinner.

July 2012 - Villa Ursula A was a beautiful Positano Villa. It has a superior location to the main part of town with its shops, restaurants and beach.

The Villa was spotless and had all the amenities one could hope for including air conditioning. The only draw back to the Villa is that it is located on the main coastal road. Summer traffic continues all day and well into the night. Honking is a frequent occurrence especially from large tour buses. This was truly only bothersome at night. Several in our party chose to block out the noise by using ear plugs.

The Villa also had excellent indoor, large, secure parking facilities.

We would return to this Villa in a heartbeat.

Excellent service we would definitely book with you again in the future.

Travel tips

  • If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs if visiting in the high summer season.
  • The contact person in Positano was very helpful.
  • The town itself has a Delikatessen (think small grocery store), a butcher and bakery all within a few steps of each other. The Deli offers free delivery so you do not have to lug your purchases up hill to the villa.
  • Navigating the hilly town is difficult for frail or infirm tourists.
  • The trip to Capri including 4 hours in town and 3 hour boat tour is well worth the trip.
  • For the adventurous rent a motor bike and travel the Amalfi coast for the day.

May 2012 - Fabulous - a great home base for the family and with the huge terrace overlooking the ocean it made an excellent area to dine and enjoy meals and drinks. The property is light and bright and all you can ask.

Unlike most villas the steps are just a few. Only consideration is that it is next to the main road for those who need silence at night to sleep.

We would certainly return here again. Thanks for everything.

May 2012 - This villa was extremely clean, and well taken care of in the interior. The bedrooms were large, the linen was good, but the beds were hard, and low to the floor. The living room had very uncomfortable seating, and was sparsely decorated, but there was a good TV. The kitchen was almost adequately equipped... although there was no wine opener... which we found interesting, especially in Italy! The best thing this villa has going for it, are the people who manage the place. Fernanda was a doll to work with, and she was very accommodating and helpful -- getting us the wine opener for example, once we asked for it.

The location was also very good -- an easy walk to shops, restaurants etc.

Summer in Italy was great to work with, attentive, and professional.

October 2011 - We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Ursula A.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean with comfortable beds. The showers are excellent and the views fantastic. It has a bit of a hill walk down to the beach but it was not too steep or too far with teenage kids. It is right on a road but there is not too much traffic and night and we slept soundly. TV was in Italian so no TV was watched which is good as we got out and about instead.

I highly recommend this accommodation.

Travel tips

  • There is a shop just under the flat for basic groceries. The lady doesn't speak English but she does have a dictionary which helps when you are looking for something in particular.

October 2011 - A wonderful, spacious villa for two couples to share and enjoy.

Excellent location - a bit noisy because it is overlooking the road but provided lots of entertainment watching the driving along the winding coastal road!

Extremely clean!

Travel tips

  • Make sure you go to Amalfi, Ravello and Sorrento while there - and take the day trip by boat to Capri.
  • LOVED the Tre Sorelle (Three Sisters) restaurant!

September 2011 - We just loved Villa Ursula A. The unit was very spacious with very up to date washrooms and kitchen. We loved opening the huge windows each morning to views of a lifetime.

The location was superb, one block from the bus stop & the village of Positano.

The very helpful owners own a dress shop 5 minutes away and we went there every day to discuss our plans for the day. They made all our reservations for restaurants and travel and tours and we felt very safe knowing they were there for us. They cleaned the unit during the week and brought us baked treats. We truly felt at home.

We cooked in one night and that was fun and easy in the modern kitchen.

Another plus to this unit is that there are only 20 steps to get to it. We highly recommend this unit and Summer in Italy who truly went out all out to help us find this unit. Summer in Italy made this trip possible. We felt you tried to meet our needs and in the end, you actually picked this place for us. We have already recommended you to everyone we know and every day in Italy, we told people about you. We were strangers in a strange land and you never once let us down. Love your newsletters as well. And your attention to detail was terrific. We know exactly what to expect. There were no surprises. A job well done. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • We loved eating on the beach... Prosecco, calamari, grilled fish, people watching, warm weather, awesome views of the town and the sea, who could ask for anything more.
  • We loved Ravello best and enjoyed the tour of Pompeii which we think is an absolute must.
  • We were a little disappointed with Capri... fabulous boat ride but very touristy once you are there, but so beautiful. It was fun taking the bus and very convenient but we liked taxi's best because they are a little faster.
  • We had a drink at Hotel Sirenuse which was outrageous (30 euros for 2 drinks) but worth it for the view.
  • The Amalfi Coast is dependent on tourism and we think it is important to tip especially when the service is good.

July 2011 - The villa was beautiful! It was exceptionally clean and well maintained! The views were amazing!

The location was also very convenient. It was within walking distance to the beach and all of the shops (about 10-15 minutes). It was also right next to a bus stop, which can take you around Positano or to Sorrento.

My family and I were very pleased with our experience, and would do it again!!

Summer In Italy made it very easy and were very helpful! THANKS!!

Travel tips

  • Take the bus to Sorrento... very easy... beautiful ride and lots of great shopping there!
  • Rent scooters!!... we had a great time driving through Positano and around the Amalfi coast!

June 2011 - Really enjoyed our stay here - it was exactly how it looked in the pictures on the internet. Very clean, bright & airy and had everything we needed.

Had no hassles getting a late checkout which was great.

Good location - very close to centre of Positano and just a stone's throw from bus stop. Bit noisy when windows were open but not annoying.

Baby travel cot provided for us which was really appreciated.

Staff in Summer in Italy were nothing but exceptional in all my correspondence with them - really fast in their responses & very accommodating. Would definitely use them again.

May 2011 - We had the privilege of staying at Ursula A in May of 2011. Our party consisted of 4. We all agreed that we did not want to leave. Our stay in Positano and at Ursula A was truly a delightful one. The people were so kind and nothing seemed to be a bother for them. They went out of their way to help us in anyway that they could.

Upon arriving we were greeted and shown around the villa. All our questions were answered. Fernanda [the caretaker] met us at the villa and she was very helpful adding that should we have further questions she was available a short walk away at the clothing store on the way to the beach. Fernanda was a wealth of information. She recommended a couple of very good restaurants -- one where the owner came to pick us up and returned us to the villa after our meal and another where the waiter treated us to a few extra things that were not included on our bill.

We hiked the Path of the Gods and also rented a private boat to take us around the Isle of Capri.

Would we return again? -- in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend this villa and the short walk to the main beach of Positano was a plus. We enjoyed beautiful views from the terrace in the evenings -- just bring along ear plugs and you'll be fine -- a bit of honking on the roadway can keep you awake if you are a light sleeper. Other than that, you will not be disappointed.

April 2011 - It is a really nice place and location to visit Costiera Amalfitana.

October 2010 - We totally enjoyed our stay at Villa Ursula.

Everyone at Summer in Italy was helpful.

The villa was clean and spacious. TV had no English speaking channels but that was ok.

Angela [the owner] was very helpful.

The noise from the street was tough to get used to.

All and all it was great! I would book again and have recommended your website.

September 2010 - We had a fantastic week from Sept 11 to 18 with 6 of us sharing the villa. Heaps of room to spread out and everything was spotless and ready to use.

A nice walk "down" into Positano and we would shop at the Deli upstairs in town and the boys would deliver via motorbike 15 min later. Butcher at base of stairs also very good and had cheap wine and amazing handmade pastas.

We cooked most nights in the compact kitchen and used the BBQ as well. Sun deck was great for reading, sunbathing, eating and drinking.

Perfect for large families or 2 families like us. Well priced also, better than hotels.

The service of 'S in I' has been fantastic and I will also be telling friends to use your service.

We found you on the Internet by chance and website was very helpful and informative.

Thanks for all the great work.

Travel tips

  • Get the laundry done whilst here using machine in kitchen before moving on, can dry on sun deck.
  • Do day trips to the local beach, Capri, Pompeii, Amalfi, Ravello and Sorrento. A must, just great.
  • Hire a motor bike for a day.

September 2010 - Spacious and clean rooms. French doors opening onto the road from the dining area made the room a little noisy. The front door also opens onto a reasonably busy road, but overall we had a great stay here.

Great service, prompt replies to all my emails, thank you!

Travel tips

  • Take advantage of the great terrace, we bought plenty of local produce from the delicatessen and butchers (opposite the nice cake shop!) in town and had a couple of great BBQs!
  • Visit mammas at the very top of Positano for a great authentic Italian meal - avoid the restaurant just down the hill from the villa with tables on the pavement, bad service and the food was nothing special!

August 2010 - Fantastic views from terrace. Nice to have table and chairs to be able to eat outside. BBQ and outside shower a great idea. Beautiful views from every room, which you never tire of seeing.

The one things that lets this property down is that the road outside is very noisy, which is not a problem during the day, but when you are trying to get to sleep the sound of horns and in particular the many scooters passing by is a problem.

Travel tips

  • Use public transport. It seems to be an efficient way of getting around.

July 2010 - This villa was perfect for us. The location was ideal as we could walk down to the beach or to the town very easily and the walk back up to the villa was not too difficult!

All the rooms were clean and light and airy and the bathrooms were modern and well-equipped.

It was great to have the use of the terrace, which had beautiful views and, once again, all the outdoor furniture that we needed.

Peace and quiet is average because the villa is on a busy road and so there is quite a bit of traffic noise but I don't think that this is a problem at all - in fact I liked hearing the scooters and buses going past as its a real flavour of Positano!

We were delighted with our choice of villa and it lived up to all our expectations. Summer In Italy were most helpful and it was very easy to get in contact via e-mail. We would definitely book with you again and would be very happy to stay at Villa Ursula A again.

Travel tips

  • Enjoy your stay! Positano is a beautiful holiday destination.
  • Our favourite restaurants were Il Grotto (catch the bus right up to the top of Positano), Buca di Bacco on the beach and the restaurant overlooking the harbour which has tables outside.
  • The Incanto bar at the beach is excellent for lunches and drinks.
  • Catch the ferry to Amalfi as well - although we didn't like Amalfi nearly as much as Positano, it's great to see the beautiful coast from the sea.

May 2010 - We loved Villa Ursula A. The views were fabulous from every room and the deck.

We really enjoyed the grill and eating out on the deck.

Even though there was a long walk to the beach, it was a great location.

The villa was very clean, modern and cool, even with the hot weather.

It was really easy and safe to book our vacation. SummerInItaly.com is a great site.

Travel tips

  • There are great shops in town with excellent produce and meats. We enjoyed cooking with the fresh ingredients.
  • We loved having a drink at night at one of the beachfront cafes.

May 2010 - We would have moved in forever. The location was fabulous and Angela [the owner] is just a sweetheart. The apartment was huge and absolutely spotless clean.

The views from every window and the terrace were those that we had only seen in movies and books.

Thank you to "Summer in Italy" for being entirely honest about the apartment. Sometimes booking online can be tricky, but you are a very honest company. I would recommend your website to anyone without hesitation.

May 2010 - Thanks for the service we got from you. All the details are correct and fit the place. The flat it is situated in a beautiful place with a great view over the sea. It has a parking place in a protected garage which is very very important in Positano. Angela [the owner] met us right on time. She gave us all the best information. She is nice and speaks English fluently and knows every details about the area. The villa is very well equipped, renovated recently, full of light and the view is beautiful. Keep on giving a service like this and we shall be yours forever.

April 2010 - We had a wonderful time, but were surprised by the level of road noise from the tourist buses. In spite of this, we loved the spaciousness for two couples, the cleanliness and overall quality of the building.

The location is ideal for walking to the beach and market area and the short number of steps was a relief considering the topography of the town.

Additionally, our contact person was very helpful and easily accessible.

Thanks, we had a great time and hope to get back again soon.

Travel tips

  • This is good quality for the money and getting up early with the road noise wasn't such a hindrance considering that this is such a beautiful spot and there is much to see and do.
  • We really enjoyed dining at Il Ritrovo, Max and had a wonderful time watching a bathing suit photo shoot while we lunched at Le Tre Sorelle on the beach.
