Very good
July 2022 - A very nice place, clean and spacious.
The caretakers were very attentive and helpful.
It has always been a good experience and we have been using Summer In Italy for almost 20 years!
Travel tips
- You will have to be in good shape as you are going up a steep hill to reach the residenzia. But when you get there, the view are beatiful.

September 2015 - Villa Peonia A is a great modern accommodation.
The apartment was very spacious and the bathroom was very large. Beautiful wrap around terrace.
The staff was extra attentive. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and espresso. They even provided umbrellas for the beach.

Fantastic
July 2014 - Villa Peonia A is a nice apartment, that has everything you need.
Very nice view, even if the balcony was a bit small. The shared terrace on the roof was magnifico! :)
The owner/host was very kind and helpful. The service from him was superb and he also recommended us very good places to go, eat, etc..
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Villa Peonia A and, if we will go back to Ischia, we will stay there again.
Good service from Summer In Italy. Nice website, easy to use. Good descriptions of the apartments and quick response to our questions.
Travel tips
- Restaurant Terra e Sapori in Porto di Forio and Restaurant Il Giardino Mediterraneo in Ischia Porto are both very good restaurants. You should absolutely go there for a meal.
- Ischia Ponte, Lacco Ameno and Forio d’Ischia all worth a visit.
- A day trip to Procida is also something I would recommend.

June 2012 - Very nice and clean apartment centrally located to restaurants and shops of Ischia Port.
Hill up to apartment is a bit steep and hard to climb by the 4th time of the day but apart from that lovely place to stay.
Staff were excellent and accommodating as well.
Summer In Italy is a very efficient company - would use them again for sure.
Travel tips
- Hire a car. Easier to get around Ischia and also an easier way to get up the hill to apartment for older or handicapped people.

September 2010 - Villa Peonia was fantastic, just a short walk from the town with lovely views out to the sea.
It was all very modern and clean.
Mr Francesco [the owner] and the other staff were very helpful and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you!
We booked with you as we visited another of your apartments in Positano last year and were very impressed again. The service and the quality of the apartments are fantastic. Thank you.
Travel tips
- The coffee shop on the square almost opposite the end of the road that you walk down from the villa is great for coffee, pastries and ice cream.
- The best value restaurants are not the ones directly on the port. Check with the staff the names of some off the beaten track.
- We did not get to a spa but Negombo looks really lovely.
- Buses are a good way to travel around, cheap and frequent but be prepared to stand.

July 2010 - The villa was of an excellent standard, very clean and the view spectacular. It is at the top of a very narrow road and it is a steep climb.
The owner, Francesco was extremely attentive and helpful and although his English and our Italian was not good we were able to communicate.
Travel tips
- Although there are services such as shops and transport close accessing these are difficult because of the very steep narrow road which has to be negotiated. If you are taking a car then it will need to be a very small one as the road is not only narrow but also there is a very tight bend.
- There are very few people who speak English so a phrase book might be very useful.
- There are a number of day trips which take place and we went on an island tour which was delightful and well worth the 15 euro fee.
- The trip to Pompeii was also good although it is important to be prepared for the very hot sun by taking plenty of sun cream, hat and water.

July 2010 - We had a lovely week at Villa Peonia A. The beach, shops and the ferries were all very close but the last 100 metres up to the villa was quite a steep incline.
Our apartment was large, well decorated and clean and had everything we needed. The balcony was too small to sit on but had wonderful views of the sea, the islands and the mainland.
Francesco [the owner] was most helpful, he met us from the ferry and took our suitcases up to the villa on his scooter. He was available most of the time but when he wasn't going to be around he made sure we knew who we could contact if we needed anything.
I would recommend Villa Peonia A as a good place to stay but it may not suit anyone who has difficulty walking.
I found Summer in Italy on the Internet by chance but I'm glad I did. You have a good range of holiday accommodation and you are well organised. Booking was easy and all the information you provided covered everything we needed to know. I would definitely consider using you again in the future.
Travel tips
- We used the local buses to go around Ischia and found them to be very reliable.
- There are day trips to Capri, Positano and Amalfi by boat and we also went to Procida but we were a little disappointed with that small island.
- Ischia Port has plenty of restaurants and shops of all types.
- We found the people to be friendly and I think it is a good place for families with children.
- The beach is clean and bigger than I had expected but I can imagine it will be very busy during July and August.
