A special stay

June 2023 - Villa Panorama has all you need for a special stay in Praiano. It is centrally located, has spectacular views, spacious living areas and bedrooms, close to transport, supermarkets and restaurants.

The owners and support staff are always close by to assist with any issues. The pool is also spectacular and well maintained.

I've had dealings with Luca and his team over a 4 year period. Their service is faultless and I would definitely use them again when travelling to Italy -- many sincere thanks

Travel tips

  • There are numerous steps to maneuver in the area but there is public transport close by.
  • Our host was helpful in organizing day trips by hire car and boat.

Outstanding villa in a great location!

October 2022 - Summer In Italy hooked us up for Villa Panorama. The villa was outstanding. The views from the villa drew everyone to the terrace every morning and evening while we were there. It became the family gathering place. The bedrooms were very nice, each having its own bath. The kitchen served us well on morning coffee and breakfast and days where we stayed at the villa enjoying the pool and the views.

The location was the best. The villa is between Amalfi and Positano with easy access to both, but in a smaller town away from large groups of tourists. Awesome experience.

Summer In Italy was the only way to book a villa. Klint from Summer In Italy provided exceptional service and assistance. They helped with all arrangements and provided information on Italy that really helped. I loved their responsiveness and help from finding a villa to the final days of our stay. They are great and we will use them again on our future trips to Italy.

Travel tips

  • Shops and bus transportation are really just steps away.
  • We found some amazing restaurants in Praiano.
  • Use Positano Royal Limousine for all of your transportation needs. Especially if you have a group of 5 or more. We had 8 in our group. Ask for Paolo, he arranged to drop us off, and pick us up at arranged times in Amalfi, Positano, Praiano, and restaurants. He even took us to his favourites.

Comfortable, spacious and very accommodating

June 2022 - Villa Panorama was comfortable, spacious and very accommodating. We usually would have an adventure in the morning until early afternoon, then meet back at the villa to relax around the pool. There are stairs to climb.

Summer In Italy are good booking agents. They are caring, flexible and I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

Travel tips

  • A travel agency in Praiano offered a trip to Pompeii that was fabulous. It included bus transportation, and a fabulous guide through Pompeii.
  • The best way to see the Amalfi Coast is by boat that we rented for a day.

Fabulous week, everything was perfect

July 2021 - Our family of 7 just spent a fabulous week at this villa and everything was perfect. The villa is pristine and clean and very well kept.

Summer In Italy was a great resource to have. We were very comfortable staying in a home instead of a hotel as Summer In Italy could answer any and every question we had concerning any excursions or sight seeing we wanted to book. Our favorite night was a fabulous meal prepared in the villa.

Travel tips

  • Praiano is a great, central location to stay as it is surrounded by all the cities you would want to explore along the coast.
  • The bus stops directly below Villa Panorama.

We couldn't have selected a more spectacular location to see the sunrise and sunset of the Amalfi Coast

October 2019 - Stunning views! Villa Panorama was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have selected a more spectacular location to see the sunrise and sunset of the Amalfi Coast. We loved our stay in Praiano.

We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and markets. There are many steps in Praiano but we actually enjoyed the exercise!!

Summer In Italy was one of the best rental sites I have worked with. The staff was always extremely helpful, efficient and so nice. I will definitely use them for our next vacation in Italy.

September 2019 - We loved our stay at Villa Panorama. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing by. Close to public transport to make getting around easy.

Would definitely recommend a stay here.

I booked through you because I had never booked to stay in Italy before and you had good reviews. You have made the process very simple and your response time to questions was fast. Thank you.

Beautiful property

September 2019 - We had such a wonderful time at Villa Panorama! It really was a beautiful property and Praiano was a great location for a long stay (our's was 10 days). I'd completely recommend it and be happy to stay again.

The place is big and quite spacious, plus the bedrooms are prettier than the pictures show you. It’s a perfect spot for a family gathering, with a house full of almost all the amenities one would need.

The view is gorgeous and such a nice spot to explore Praiano (by walking lots of stairs) or the other locals towns (by car, or the extraordinarily convenient bus which literally stops at the bottom of the stairs into the house).

September 2018 - A stunningly beautiful villa with amazing views! We really enjoyed our holiday. I would have happily spent our holiday on the terrace looking at the view!! Praiano is a quiet village away from the tourist traps along the coast. All wonderful.

Giuseppe [the owner] was wonderful - so friendly and helpful and always there to answer questions.

Came across Summer In Italy by accident. Fantastic company who always answered questions very quickly whatever day of the week. Very friendly and really wanted to help. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • Easy access to bus stop and local mini market.
  • Local mini market stocks everything needed.
  • Local bus and coaches to go further are at bottom of steps to villa. Wonderful service.
  • Two favourite restaurants were Restaurant M'Ama! (provides car collection/drop off) and Restaurant Kasai.
  • Amazing beach facility at the 4-star hotel which villa users can visit.

We had a wonderful time

July 2018 - We had a wonderful time in Villa Panorama (11 days in July, 6 adults and 2 children). The villa is clean, very large and very quiet. The views from the terraces are fantastic. The pool is very useful and refreshing after a day exploring the coast. We highly recommend this villa!

Summer In Italy offers an honest and very professional service. We will use theirs services again in the future.

Travel tips

  • Don't miss the following activities!!
  • Rent a private boat for a tour along the Amalfi Coast and Capri... Fantastic day, excellent service by Amalfi Charter Boat Rentals.
  • Have a day trip to Amalfi and Ravello, another day to Sorrento. Beautiful towns. Excellent water taxi service by Praia Sea Service La Sibilla.
  • Go to Positano for a day. We had a lot of fun at the beach. It is very easy to get there from the villa, the bus stop it’s just downstairs from the villa.
  • Get to Pompeii for a daytrip.

This is a beautiful villa

June 2018 - This is a beautiful villa and views are incredible. We really enjoyed out stay here.

The location is so great, as the bus pickup is just below the villa. Praiano is the place to be, as the tourist traffic is much lower than either Amalfi or Positano. It is important, however, for people to know that the Amalfi Coast is all built on steep hills, so there are many steeps to climb no matter where you go, including this villa.

The local staff was very responsive and nice.

Travel tips

  • A private cruise along the coast to Capri and a side trip to Ravello is a must.
  • We have done Pompeii and Positano in the past so they are also recommended.
  • Restaurants recommended in Praiano within walking distance to villa is Mamas restaurant and the Vivaro Wine Bar restaurant. The latter is a must. But need to book ahead. The place is very small. The owner is the waiter and a gourmet chef. Fix price of 30 euros per person inclusive. Best bargain on the coast!

The view is stunning, with an unobstructed view of the water

May 2017 - Villa Panorama was lovely and a perfect fit for our family of 4 adult couples. Everyone had their own bathroom in their bedrooms and it was spread out so that we each had our own space. It was well equipped and the furnishings were lovely. Actually the pictures do not do it justice, it was much nicer in person. The view is stunning, with an unobstructed view of the water.

They provided little extras, such as shampoo, hair dryers in each bath and soaps, beautiful towels, as you would expect in a good hotel. Cleaning service came twice during our stay.

I am thankful Summer In Italy recommended Praiano and it was perfect for us. I cannot say enough about your company without sounding like a fake review. :) I appreciated your almost immediate response to my emails. There is no language barrier, Melanie was my "go to" person. Thank you Melanie for being so helpful without being intimidating to my lack of Italy knowledge. I would highly recommend your company. Your customer service is above and beyond. Thank you so much and I wish you the best.

Travel tips

  • The local bus stop is directly in front of the property and is a popular pick up and drop off stop.
  • There is a lot of walking and steps which is the norm in the region. We preferred this area to Positano as it is less tourist and crowded.
  • Ample local restaurants to choose from.

The view was fantastic

September 2016 - No doubt, Villa Panorama was as beautiful as the pictures we saw on your web site - the view was fantastic - the rooms were spacious - the entire villa was clean and nicely furnished.

The property manager, Saverio, was friendly and helpful -- he spoke little English.

Whenever we phoned the office, Summer In Italy staff was always helpful. Your descriptions of the villa were very good.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared for the many steps, both to the villa and again inside.
  • The pool is very nice, but note that it is in the shade in the afternoons.
  • There are markets near, but many restaurants were much further away.
  • The town of Praiano is very hilly.
  • Bus stop is right in front of the villa.

August 2014 - Villa Panorama was outstanding! The perfect location in Praiano to experience local life.

Sitting on the terrace (taking in one of the best views on the planet!) ensured we all relaxed and made the best of the holiday.

Very good support and advice from owner.

We are now looking at a return visit to Praiano next year and we will certainly book with Summer in Italy again. Currently looking at villas in Praiano.

Travel tips

  • Praiano is a much quieter alternative to Positano, very view tourists.
  • Everyone made us feel so welcome and part of the community.
  • Spending time in Piazza Di Luca in Praiano with local families was wonderful, especially the concert on 15th August.
  • Local shops provide all anyone could need and local shopkeepers were so helpful. Their kindness included delivering our groceries, often refusing a tip.
  • Local buses were so useful, much better than attempting to drive on the narrow, twisting and busy roads.
  • We were able to enjoy days at the beach and Positano.
  • Boat trips were amazing, especially the 'Princess' visit to Capri.
  • Doctor available adjacent to the villa.
  • Local restaurants all provide reasonably priced locally sourced amazing food.
  • Local taxi service ideal for Pompeii and Herculaneum.

May 2014 - Villa Panorama lived up to and exceeded our expectations!!

The rooms were all large and light and the terrace and view were wonderful.

Saverio [the caretaker] was a great help and nothing was too much trouble for him. The cleaning was great as was the lovely young lady who did it. We had a dinner catered by a Chef and Saverio as our waiter for my birthday which was a treat and a fantastic night was had by everyone.

I found Summer In Italy by Google. The help and communication was amazing. We loved our dinner for my birthday and your help with organizing the chef, waiter and menu was very much appreciated.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared for steps, steps and more steps but it was worth it.
  • We had dinner locally and got taxi's back to the villa at night otherwise a long walk.
  • We had a great day trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum and lunch at a lovely winery with a driver organised by Saverio.
  • Make sure you visit Positano and Ravello. They were the highlights of the area.

May 2014 - We loved Villa Panorama. It was much better than the pictures can show.

The little grocer down the street was great, pool was great, rooms all large and roomy suite by the pool was charming, clean as a pin, fabulous views.

The caretaker was right on it, very helpful and accommodating. We had arranged for dinner to be prepared there the night we arrived and it was fabulous. Couldn't have been a better start to the week.

We thought the villa gave us a very authentic feel of life in Praiano. The sea from the terrace is endlessly entertaining.

Our rental agent was great, very helpful. We rented with you because of several agencies, you had a villa that seemed to suit our needs.

Travel tips

  • Great to have bus stop right at our door.
  • Did not find an abundance of shopping and restaurants easily walkable, but perhaps the quietness and small town feeling balanced that.
  • Trips to Positano, Capri, and Pompeii and taxis to restaurants fulfilled our shopping need.
  • We used Amalficar for drivers to and from airport and were very happy. Used all recommendations from Severio.
  • Do take a visit to Hotel Tritone, go down in elevator to beach, sit on their terrace.
  • Go to Capri, go in the Blue Grotto, take the funicular up to the top.
  • Bring a hoodie and good lounge pajamas.
  • We were very tired from jet lag and walking and climbing all the steps. Comfy shoes!
  • Have as many stops as possible at as many sidewalk cafés as possible.
  • The villas Wi-Fi was great. We used Viber, FaceTime, Facebook and avoided extra data charges.
  • KEEP YOUR PHONE IN AIRPLANE MODE! We did not call locally, but asked Severio, or local people to call taxis, restaurants, or vendors for us. Worked out fine.

April 2012 - We loved Villa Panorama. We were a party of 6 women and had a fabulous time. Praiano was lovely and just what we expected. The only problem in the villa was the power kept blacking out but it turned into fun anyway. As far as size, cleanliness, comfortable beds etc we could not fault the villa and would recommend it to our friends. The view was absolutely fabulous.

Saverio, the caretaker, was perfect and couldn't have done enough for us. Our private dinner was great and Saverio did a wonderful job helping and waiting on us. We all loved it.

I don't know when I will be back in Italy but if I come back I will certainly.

Summer in Italy you are fantastic. Service has been excellent the whole time and you have always answered any questions I had. I would definitely recommend your company to my friends and family.

Travel tips

  • Contact the local taxi driver Gennaro, who can provides a normal car or larger vehicle. He was fantastic and we used his services to travel to Sorrento, Ravello, Amalfi etc. Because there was the six of us it was economical.
  • The bus service to Positano is great as is the SITA bus. The walk to the bus stop is steep but quite easy and not too far.

June 2011 - Wonderful villa set in a lovely local area with a spectacular view of the amazing Amalfi Coast. We are able to experience real village life while at the same time experiencing the grandeur and beauty of tourist areas in the region.

This is an ideal property for larger groups or families. It is spacious which allows for holidaying together while still having private space. The lower level is ideal for older children/teens. It does require you to climb stairs, so I would not recommend for those with mobility issues.

It is in an ideal location for exploring the Amalfi Coast.

The caretaker was very helpful in helping us with travel plans as well as providing any other assistance throughout the week.

From start to finish, all interactions with Summer in Italy were positive. They have an excellent website. I highly recommend.

Travel tips

October 2010 - I loved the Villa, especially the views!

Everyone concerned with the villa was extremely helpful, especially in arranging boats/drivers etc.

The only negative comment would be it needs a jolly good scrub out. Some of the cupboards were really dirty inside, but as it was the end of the season, it may have accumulated.

Also the showers did not drain, very blocked.

But that aside, we really didn't mind so much as the villa was so gorgeous, and what a view!!

Travel tips

  • Get the updated bus schedule and be prepared for all the steps.
  • Get your groceries from Tutto per Tutti as they will deliver to the door.
  • Get a private car/driver to Pompeii, and if departing by train, back to Naples Rail Station.
  • Don't leave buying Sita bus tickets until after 1 pm because the shops shut and you cannot buy tickets on the bus.

June 2010 - It was lovely. Enjoyed by the entire family.

Salvatore [the owner] went out of his way to meet our needs, especially when we needed to seek medical care. His family's limoncello was the best of any we sampled. Barbara provided valuable information. Her cruise to Capri was one of the highlights of the trip.

The villa offered plenty of opportunity for both family and personal space.

I used three different agencies and found Summer In Italy to be by far the best. Most detailed and accurate. There were absolutely no surprises. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for our other two experiences. I would look to your agency prior to any other in the future and will highly recommend you.

Travel tips

  • Joe Banana, find him on line. Excellent for transportation from Naples, transportation to Florence and tours. Take his advice on where to eat. It is very memorable.
  • If you take the orange line to Positano don't get off until you reach the bottom of the town.

May 2008 - Villa Panorama is a wonderful Villa. We especially enjoyed that it is not situated in Amalfi or Positano with all the tourists but very close to both towns. Praiano is a nice little village and there is a small grocery store almost next door but you definitely need a car or a scooter to discover the area.

Villa Panorama has a beautiful view, very nice rooms on 3 levels (the room in the annex is especially nice), a well equipped kitchen and a nice little pool. Due to the architecture of the villa there are 2 bathrooms with very small showers, one beautiful large bathroom with a tub and one bathroom without a shower or tub but just a toilet (although a shower would easily fit in the room)

The housekeeping was perfect (Mr. Saverio replaced a broken dishwasher in one day, regularly cleaned the pool and checked back with us if everything was all right; the cleaning lady cleaned our room and exchanged towels twice in just one week).
