Excellent

September 2022 - This is a wonderful house in the heart of Praiano with fantastic views. It is a great location.

The accommodation was comfortable for our family of six adults. Two bedrooms are connected but this was fine for our family.

Travel tips

  • The house is close to a grocery store and several restaurants.
  • Don’t forget to enjoy the outdoor shower!

Loved staying in this house

July 2022 - Loved staying in this house, so large for 8 adults. 3 bathrooms really helped us. Bedrooms great.

Brilliant location so central and easy to get to surrounding towns.

Excellent company to deal no problems whatsoever.

Travel tips

  • Almafi and Positano gorgeous and easy to reach.
  • Local buses link to national buses so easy.
  • Taxi companies have various charges so ask.
  • Tutto Per Tutti Mini Market very well stocked and friendly.
  • Caretaker recommended a local restaurant, food was delicious and reasonable.

It was a great home base to use

July 2021 - It was a great home base to use. We really appreciated having the laundry service nearby.

The property manager was excellent and very willing to assist us in arranging food options as well. Even calling a trattoria to have a driver pick us up and drop us off.

Summer In Italy was easy to work with and great to use. We were able to use your recommendations for transportation etc.

Travel tips

  • Expect a lot of walking and a lot of hills in the area.
  • The location is in a very residential, non-touristy part of Praiano -- which is lovely!
  • Limited taxi service. We simply walked down to the nearest hotel and asked them to arrange rides. Otherwise, you are stuck taking the local bus.
  • Restaurant Il Pirata is a good walk but totally worth it!

I would recommend this villa to other tourists

June 2019 - Our party of 6 had an excellent time. Overall, we find that the stay at Villa Nerea was great also given to the excellent service the caretaker provided. It made our stay in Italy so enjoyable. I would recommend this villa to other tourists.

Peppino, the caretaker, was so warm and friendly. He saw us trying to figure out a pasta recipe for dinner. Then, he happily step in and cooked pasta and chicken for us. He was so good to us that he cooked for us twice for dinner. We are so thankful and the dishes he made were so delicious. In addition, we mentioned him the shower water was not hot and he fixed this problem immediately. Also he arranged for us to visit decently cheaper restaurants to have good meals. We are so thankful. On our last day at the villa, he even waited for our driver to come pick us up before leaving even though he was super busy.

Travel tips

  • There is a supermarket down the road, and also a bus stop just across the villa.

Fabulous sea views from the wonderful terrace

August 2018 - Villa Nerea is a beautiful spot to spend time on the Med with fabulous sea views from the wonderful terrace with plenty of space to enjoy. Some bedrooms are conjoined so, if privacy is absolute, then this isn't the villa for you. We are a family of five and found plenty of space for everyone but had to respect various teenage sensibilities with the bedroom situation. The house is well equipped and the air conditioning a blessing in the days we spent there.

The caretaker was a mine of local information, he also arranged a recommended restaurant that picked us up for no additional fee. Also fixed a boat trip for us and even baked us a cake.

Summer In Italy are recommended and professional.

Travel tips

  • The local shop had everything we could want for self catering including beautifully fresh local produce but don't expect cheap wine in this shop.
  • Trattoria San Gennaro was great! Good price and fresh abundant food.
  • Take the time to visit Ravello and Amalfi. The bus ride is an experience in it's self and get coffee at Andrea Pansa - cake to die for.
  • Praiano is full of steps so not for the lazy or unfit but well worth ambling around and exploring with views of the gods.

Very good

July 2018 - The caretaker was fantastic -- he cooked for us when we arrived (which was a afternoon when all restaurants were closed and we were superhungy after the ride from Napoli), he gave us restaurant tips, he even took us grocery shopping the first day and showed us a supermarket that was not too expensive and helped us get the groceries home with car! He gave us beach passes so we did not have to pay extra for sunbeds - in all he was a very charming and helpful man!

About the villa: the terrace and the view were fantastic. I think the kitchen was too small, it was clean but still a bit worn (because of the humidity I guess...). It was very nice that 3 out of 4 bedrooms had their own bathroom.

Everything went very smoothly, instructions and directions were great - we were very satisfied with everything and has no complaints.

Fantastic

July 2018 - We loved staying at Villa Nerea. It was spacious and comfortable.

The balcony was huge and the view beautiful. Breakfast on the balcony was very relaxing. Availability of a washing machine was appreciated.

Would certainly stay here again and recommend Villa Nerea.

I thought it was all organised very well by Summer in Italy from start to finish. Summer in Italy was recommended by a friend who stayed elsewhere in Praiano. Overall Summer in Italy were excellent and I would have no hesitation in using again or recommending to others.

Travel tips

  • Although only a short flight of steps from the road, the villa was 500 metres from the bus stop... uphill. However a lift for our heavy bags was organised for us by the caretaker so all was good and the walk down to the shops pleasant and the exercise good.
  • The friendly and very helpful caretaker is there frequently but is not intrusive.
  • There is only one separate bedroom. The other two are connected but can be locked off to give a separate second bedroom and the third bedroom has two double beds and share bathroom but can be entered separately from the main balcony. As there were only 3 couples this suited us perfectly.
  • The living area is basic but comfortable with no real lounge area however we had everything we needed and were either on the balcony or out of the villa for the day or meals so not a problem.
  • There is a little local bus from Praiano into Positano, and you can buy tickets on the bus. Otherwise you have to go down to the main shops and buy tickets to go elsewhere but this was easy to do.
