Perfect location for exploring the town
September 2022 - My husband and I had the most incredible stay in Ravello. The location of the place is perfect for exploring the town. Everything you need is within walking distance. We felt very safe the entire time there too.
The view from the place is unbelievable and worth it to stay here just for that! The pool was such a nice bonus and we spent a couple days soaking up the sun and drinking Aperol Spritz’s there.
Luigi [the property manager] met us for check in and was so friendly and kind. He made sure to let us know we could contact him if we needed anything.
We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely stay! Stunning views and great location
June 2022 - We had a great stay, stunning views and great location for staying in Ravello. The pool is also an amazing thing to have especially in the June heat.
They were also very accommodating with a late check in due to my flight being delayed, lovely stay!

June 2022 - Nice and spacious 1 bedroom with amazing views from all windows!
We decided to avoid the coastal towns along the Amalfi coast and go up and slightly inland with Ravello. Very glad we did. Ravello is less trampled and just as amazingly beautiful as any other town on this coast. We spent entire days relaxing in the Ravello piazza, people-watching, eating and drinking wine. We decided to walk down to Amalfi one day, which is quite an experience!
The apartment had everything one needs to last a week. One of the nicest places we've stayed at, for a variety of reasons.

Spectacular view of the coast
April 2022 - It has a spectacular view of the coast. It is very quiet. The terrace is huge with views of the coast and orchard below.
On site, I dealt with Luigi who was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeper Maria Antonietta was very warm and friendly.
The management for Summer In Italy was excellent and responsive to our every needs. They have recommendations for transportation, dining and local interest. Excellent in their response to your needs and trying to accommodate you. Keep up the excellent work.
Travel tips
- Take a hike down to Minori but don't take the taxi back. Taxis run 40 EUR. A bus back is l.50 EUR.
- We enjoyed dinner at Hotel Restaurant Villa Maria. It was very expensive but the view is incredible.

The apartment was clean and looks just like the pictures. The view is amazing!!
August 2021 - Convenient location too, right next to Ravello “city center” and a bus stop. The bus will take you to Amalfi in 20-40 minutes depending on the traffic. We also walked down to the beach a few times.
The apartment is maybe not luxurious but has everything you need for a nice vacation, and our host Luigi was extremely helpful with everything that we needed, whether it was for restaurant recommendations or help with finding pharmacy supplies on a Sunday. The beds are a bit hard (Italian style) but this didn’t bother our party much. Otherwise we loved everything and definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience in the Amalfi Coast.

The location of the apartment is great, everything within reach
July 2020 - We spent a week at this location with our children, 11 and 12 years old and had a great time.
We enjoyed the pool. The swimming pool is from the adjacent hotel and easily accessible through the garden. The view from the balcony is a fairy-tale.
The location of the apartment is great. You can walk into the town and have everything within reach. This location is highly recommended. Do realize that you have to park your car in a parking garage, but this is within walking distance.
We look back on a great time.
For questions we could always contact the caretaker who did everything to make you feel comfortable.

Travel tips

A memorable stay
June 2019 - This was by far the most memorable part of our 2 week stay.
My wife and I were welcomed by Luigi who then also shared some incredible local tips and places we should try like the Hotel Garden restaurant close by. One of the best meals we've ever had!
The breathtaking views from the patio, the accessibility to the pool and ease of getting to other areas like Amalfi, Positano etc etc by bus was excellent.
The hills of Ravello made our dreams a reality and for those looking for more of a slower pace with access to everything you want within reason, this is the place.
Travel tips
- Try the Hotel Garden restaurant close by. One of the best meals we've ever had! As for location and views, this was right up our alley.

A real gem!
May 2019 - The property is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location with enviable views. There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby, and a little supermarket just off the main square to get all the essentials you might need.
The bus stops at the top of the road so it’s very convenient for travelling into Amalfi where it is really easy to travel on from there to other destinations. You can buy the bus tickets in a nearby tabacchi shop in the main square or the little supermarket. You can walk from Ravello to Atrani/Amalfi but the stairs are quite arduous!! However it was very good for photo opportunities and lots of things to take in on the route, including lots of lemon groves, friendly stray cats and local sights.
This property made the stay far more memorable, being like a home away from home during our stay. The cleanliness and maintenance of the property was excellent and you can tell the property is very well looked after.
A real gem in the Amalfi Coast, I would highly recommend!!

It was the second time we stayed at Villa Giannino B
September 2018 - It was the second time we stayed at Villa Giannino B (last time was in 2012). Our experience was again fantastic as it was our first time. The location and the view from the terrace is incredible. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. A superb way of enjoying the Amalfi Coast and Ravello with privacy and comfort.
Everything was perfect as it was in 2012. Luigi [the caretaker] was very nice and very helping. Thank you again for a wonderful experience at your villa !
Dealing with Summer In Italy was very easy. We were very well accompanied throughout the whole rental process. Quick and cordial response. Timing of communications is perfect. We felt very secure and well supported dealing with you. Thank you to the whole team.
Travel tips
- Lots of things to do and see within walking distance (Villa Cimbrone, Villa Rufolo, stairs to the beach at Minori, market, piazza, etc).
- Parking can be a challenge if you come by car, one good tip is to park at Al Ponte private parking, they offer a shuttle right next to the property (Restaurant Salvatore).

Great place to stay on the Amalfi Coast
August 2017 - Villa Giannino B is a great place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. It is in the best location, Ravello is beautiful and quiet. The kitchen could be a little better equipped (dishes and tools are minimal) and mostly, the wonderful terrace desperately needs nicer chairs and table, as well as an umbrella. The pool is amazing.

We had a great time!
July 2017 - We had a great time! After a full day of walking around among busy tourists it was great to go back to Ravello which is a more quiet and less touristy town. The apartment is extremely quiet and had everything we needed. Including of course a breath taking view.
I wanted an apartment with a pool in Amalfi area and I thought this one had an amazing view and it was in the price range I was looking for.
Travel tips
- On the way there definitely get the train all the way to Salerno and then take the ferry/bus to Amalfi. It will cut a lot of your travel time. We only reserved the train from Milan to Naples and lost time in the connection to Salerno and then the 2 buses to get to Ravello.
- Also consider that every time you leave to visit other towns on the coast the bus trip back to Ravello (and the waiting time) definitely adds to your commute.
- You will always have to take a bus to get to a beach unless you are ok with the pool.
- DO NOT RENT a car! It's way too dangerous and I am Italian!
- Motorbikes can also be dangerous. We did not rent one because we found it expensive.
- We have not had a bad meal in Ravello! Our favorites: Restaurant Pizzeria Vittoria (fish) and Bar Pizzeria Mimi (pizza/pasta).
- Definitely visit Villa Rufolo.

August 2016 - Villa Giannino B was absolutely perfect! The views are spectacular, I couldn't imagine a better place to stay. Having access to the pool on the side of the mountains was also an incredible addition to our stay, it was like being in a dream. September 2015 - Villa Giannino was awesome. The 61 steps are well spaced and supported with a handrail and my husband and I, both retired, managed the steps with comfort.
Very central - close to the main Sita busstop and taxi rank. And also all the tourist attractions. The villa was well equipped with modern well functioning ware - stove, fridge, washing machine, etc. The bathroom is exceptionally spacious - a real luxury.
On our arrival, we found the villa well stocked with basics - olive oil, sugar, cleaning materials, etc. A real bonus for people who had travelled far to get there. Just opposite the road is a small cafe where we bought fresh croissants for breakfast.
The single biggest asset is Gaia [the caretaker] and her mother. Gaia spent time helping me to get my Italian SIM card operative, and answering any queries we may have.
We hope to go back there with friends.
Travel tips
- An excellent place to make your base for exploring Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Positano, Bomerano and many other places on the Amalfi coast.
- The public transport is regular and the villa is an oasis to get home to.

Very good
August 2015 - We have just returned from spending 10 nights at Villa Giannino B. The location is at the bottom of a number of steps, but the location is perfect for Ravello, a very short walk into the centre of town (less than 5 minutes). The views from the property are also amazing. The bus stop is also very close, so you would not need a car.
The apartment is a little tired, however do not let this put you off. The kitchen was well stocked, with a large fridge/freezer and a washing machine. There is also a gas hob and electric oven. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom, the living room with a sofa bed has an electric fan. The private balcony is large with a great view and there is an additional huge terrace (partly covered) which is shared with the adjoining villa. This has deck chairs and tables and chairs. The hotel pool which you can use is a minutes walk through the terrace and down some steps, has great views and a separate lounge area with a snack bar.
Travel tips
- If you drive to Ravello please also consider the cost of parking. On the street outside the property are spaces for motorbikes, a little walk down the hill has on street parking (in the blue bays), but this costs 3 Euro an hour between 08:00 and 24:00. If you park on the street above the property the price is 5 Euro an hour between 08:00 and 24:00. However, if you drive down the road the property is on (so the property is on the right) and go around the first bend, there is an underground parking (under the large white auditorium) the cost here is 2 Euro an hour, or 10 Euro for 8 hours, or 18 Euro for 24 hours. Charges apply here 24 hours a day. There is a change machine in the car park, with the ticket machine outside the car park on the opposite side of the road. The ticket machine also takes credit cards, just insert the card, click the flag button to change the language and then press the + symbol until it reaches the amount you wish to pay. Important note: if you pay 18 Euro for 24 hours, the expiry time will not show 24 hours from that point, it remains as if you are paying 2 Euro an hour. I checked with the ticket inspector who confirmed they look at the date/time you purchased it and can see you paid 18 Euro so then it is valid for the 24 hours, not the expiry time shown. I parked here for 10 days doing that with no issues. Just make sure you park within the blue bays as I saw cars with fines parked outside of the blue bays. The caretaker of the property gave me a number for someone who will take and park your car for 15 Euro a day, but as I was using a hire car I did not want to risk someone else driving it.
- The bus stop is very close to Villa Giannino, just before the tunnel into the centre of town. You will need to buy your ticket first from the tobacco shop which is on the square in the town. When you get on the bus you must put it in the yellow machine to validate it. The bus can get very busy returning from Amalfi, but we found it the easiest way to get to Amalfi as the parking can be expensive in the new underground car park Amalfi has.
- We did a walk from Ravello to Amalfi (75 mins) using the map from the information office and got the bus back. The walk was all downhill with lots of steps and great views.
- There are some fruit and veg shops, butcher shops and a very small market shop in Ravello. If you are looking for something a little larger to stock up, we found the DESPAR shop useful a 5 minute drive out of Ravello.

July 2015 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Giannino B. So beautiful. The views were amazing, and it was quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, breakfast on the terrace was delightful, access to the hotel pool was an added bonus.
Gaia [the caretaker] met us when we arrived, and she was incredibly helpful to our entire stay. We appreciated her kind assistance. She made sure that we were comfortable and that we understood everything we needed to know. It was a pleasure to meet her.
This was our third trip to Ravello in ten years and we will gladly return to Villa Giannino B.
We appreciate Summer In Italy, excellent assistance and communication.
Travel tips

September 2014 - Villa Giannino B is a lovely place to stay in Ravello - just by the bus stop and close to the village center, but very peaceful.
The views are wonderful and it was great to sit on the private terrace enjoying the peace and quiet and soaking up the beautiful views. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, the kitchen is fine for just two people, the bathroom has a very good spacious shower. The only part of the apartment that was a little disappointing was the living room, which seemed quite a small dark room (no outside window, just a French door, so not much natural light), though it didn't really matter except on a couple of evenings when it rained and we couldn't sit outside.
We've booked with Summer In Italy before and have been very happy with the apartments and the booking process.
Travel tips
- You don't need a car to stay here, there's lots of lovely walking to be done in Ravello itself and to other little villages in the hills, and there's a good bus service.
- Be prepared for pushing and shoving though, there's no concept of queueing and the bus can get very busy!

September 2012 - We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Giannino B. There can't be many places in Ravello that offers you such a beautiful view and the terrace was so nice.
The apartment itself was very clean, kitchen was small but there was everything we needed.
The location of the apartment was very peaceful and there are many very good restaurants nearby. Yes, it takes time to go down to the sea and other towns by bus, but if you can enjoy the silence, terrace, amazing view and Ravello itself, the Villa Giannino is perfect for that, worth every euro.
Travel tips
- The grocery shops in Ravello are very small and are more expensive than e.g. in Amalfi. Buy at least cheese and wine from there :).
- We ate in Restaurant Figli di Papa, Cumpa Cosimo and Vittoria (best pizza ever!) in Ravello. Delicious food everywhere! The food in the Amalfi area was extremely tasty (seafood!) compared to other regions in Italy, where we have been. Italian food is always good, but this time even better.

April 2012 - We loved staying in Villa Giannino B! The location was perfect - about a minute from the bus stop and less than a 5 minute walk into the middle of Ravello very close to Villa Rufolo.
The bed is the standard two twins together which forms a bed that is basically the width of a California King - slightly bigger than a queen-sized bed and slightly smaller than a king-sized bed. Every room except the bathroom had a great view.
If you had a larger group you could rent both sides and enjoy entertaining on the huge patio!
Wilma [the caretaker] did not speak English but it didn't matter we were able to communicate and she was wonderful! I knew she didn't speak English so used my phrase book to write out a few sentences to get my points across! No problems at all.
We very much appreciated Summer in Italy! We accidentally took the wrong train and ended up in Poggiomarino, Italy; no one spoke any English - by the time we figured out what happened and had made it back to Pompeii we called the Summer in Italy customer service line and a very helpful Italian guy who did speak English was able to advise us to just stay put in Pompeii for the night (he said we would not be able to get public transportation coming into Ravello so late). Then we needed to call the help line once again when the caretaker for the house was not able to understand us and he conveyed to her that we were delayed. The customer service and help were very greatly appreciated!
Travel tips
- We had great meals at Restaurant Cumpa Cosimo (a fabulous meal we let her guide our choices and they were great)and Ristorante La Vecchia Cantina. At Ristorante La Vecchia Cantina basically an all lemon meal since I had the lemon cream spaghetti (totally delicious) and then the lemon dessert!

- Don't recommend going to Capri in the summer months... we took a day trip there because one person in our group really wanted to, but it was really overcrowded with tourists and not much fun. However, if you do go, bring bathing suits... the water there is clear and beautiful!
- We enjoyed Restaurant Villa Amore... it has a beautiful view and is less expensive than some of the other restaurants.
- There is a hotel right next to the entrance to the villa... we spent one afternoon at their pool and it was wonderful.

The views from every room of the apartment are spectacular. Highly recommended.
We greatly appreciated your frequent correspondences - it was reassuring and helpful.
Travel tips
- If you are bringing a car there is free parking outside the town limits, generally 10-15 minute walk - totally manageable. In general parking on the Coast is not cheap or easy, so this is a bonus about Ravello. There is a tourist information office in the town - they can give details about where to park.
- We only used the car to take day trips to archaeological sites. For Amalfi Coast outings we walked or took the bus.
- You need a bus ticket before getting on the bus.

October 2007 - Well positioned, away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Ravello, but conveniently close to the bus stop.
Stunning view.
Thanks. Your service works well. The taxi service you put us in touch with (Claudio Lucibello) worked perfectly. Punctual, courteous and priced about par for the area.
Travel tips
- If you are able, do not miss out on the walks. The ancient footpaths down to Minori and Atrani are a perfect way of enjoying the magnificent scenery in peace and quiet. You can always take the bus back up if the climb looks daunting.

June 2007 - It was very good for us. It was clean, fairly child friendly (thanks for the nice cot for our little one) and one of the best views in the world, which could be seen from a nice balcony and a large joint terrace.
We loved Ravello as well and thought the location of the villa was very good.
There is free parking further down the road outside the blue spaces.
Overall your booking system was great, you responded quickly and were very friendly and efficiently answered all our questions.

Travel tips
- There is a small shop in Piazza Fontana, up the hill, that sells groceries, this is cheaper than in the centre.
- You must visit the Villa Cimbrone, it is beautiful.
- Across the road from the apartment is a small cafe, where you buy your Sita bus tickets - you have a buy these before the get on the bus.

May 2007 - We had a great stay at Giannino B.
The terrace has one of the most stunning views we saw during the entire stay on the Amalfi Coast. We often lunched out and then ate antipasto with a bottle of wine, watching the sun go down.
Ravello is wonderfully quiet in the morning and evening. We spent many afternoons on the square watching people come and go.
Travel tips
- The Villa has no pool but many of the hotels will let you use their facilities for a fee. We used Hotel Graal's pool for a morning and enjoyed it.
- Make sure you know when the buses are going an coming from the bus stop. Since you have to take a bus down to Amalfi and then a boat to many of the other sites missing a connection can spell many hours of waiting. Go to the tourist office and get the schedule and advice on walks and sites. They are very helpful.
- We splurged on a cooking class with Mamma Agata who teaches a wonderful class just a quick 20 minute walk from the villa. It was expensive but worth it. Look her up and book early.

March 2007 - The view from the terrace is more than beautiful, and the house is close to the centre of Ravello.
Simply perfect for a week of reading and doing nothing but enjoying the country life.
We found you on the Internet, and decided to book with you because you seemed to be serious and honest. We were right about that, the service of Summer In Italy is very good indeed.
Travel tips
- Bring good shoes for walking. Walk down the steps to the towns by the sea (Amalfi, Minori, Atrani). It is a one hour walk down stone-steps and you're surrounded by lemon trees all the way. And if you are not an athlete, take a bus back to Ravello...

November 2006 - Our stay at Villa Giannino B was fantastic! The villa was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped.
The views from the windows and from the outdoor living areas, both the private balcony and shared terrace, were breathtaking.
The location was perfect - easy walking distance to the town center where there were many shops and restaurants.
The Sita bus stop and an internet point were within sight of the front gate to the property.
Summer in Italy was recommended to us by friends who had used your services before. As our friends had indicated, Summer in Italy was a joy to work with. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant, from the initial contact, through booking. The website is excellent and informative.
We had problems with our flight from Milan to Naples, which delayed our arrival at the property. One call to your help line was all that was needed to adjust our arrangements. All in all, Summer in Italy was great and I would highly recommend you. We look forward to working with you again!
Travel tips
- We really enjoyed meeting Netta, the owner of both Cumpa Cosimo, a great little trattoria near the square where the food was great and reasonably priced.
- On the nights that we preferred to cook, we bought meats from Netta's adjacent butcher shop. She seasoned poultry and meats to our specifications and even gave us free vegetables from her garden to help us create wonderful dinners. She is very sweet.
- We had many enjoyable walks on the trails in the area. One spectacular hike was to the ancient watch tower that overlooks Amalfi. Great views!
- Don't miss the opportunity to attend the concerts held at nearby Villa Rufolo. We went to two and loved them!

Travel tips
- If you come by car from Naples: it is faster to drive across the mountain than the route which we were advised. [The route across the mountain is known as the "Valico di Chiunzi" route. Please make sure you have a map if taking that route, as it is easier to get lost!]

October 2005 - Having spent a month in Italy in five different locations we can state without question that your condo was the highlight of our trip.
We cannot stop telling our friends about the beautiful condo, the spectactular views and the truly wonderful covered terrace.
If there was a rating to give this unit which would be higher than excellent, we would most surely give it.
Thank you for the use of your great unit.

March 2005 - Villa Giannino B was very nice. It was clean and had everything we needed, and we especially loved the patio and the view.
The location was perfect - quiet and peaceful yet in the town. Ravello is just lovely and the restaurants were excellent.
The view from the villa made it special. The villa had plenty of closet space, good heat, and everything necessary in the kitchen.
The only negative was it was a little smaller than we expected, but fine for two people. There were two of us; it would have been a little crowded with four people - but if the weather is nice, you'll spend it on the patio.

September 2004 - We really loved it. The view was stunning and the location excellent. The villa was quite attractive and convenient. We especially enjoyed our balcony and the large terrace.
We really felt as if we were a part of the village of Ravello for that week.
Everything was as nice or nicer than the pictures showed on the website.

August 2004 - Villa Giannino B has the most spectacular view (apparently the most photographed in the Amalfi coast) and a huge and beautiful terrace to enjoy it. Great for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Ravello is also a beautiful and quiet village (Villa Cimbrone was lovely) - there are also good restaurants and great local shops.
Travelling to Ravello on public transport was a bit time consuming (you can only get to Ravello by a local bus from Amalfi and then have to change on from there for all other destinations). If you plan to do much sightseeing, we would recommend hiring a car.
Unfortunately, Villa Giannino B can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
