Hands-down the best vacation my husband and our family has ever had!

May 2024 - We booked this a few months in advance of our travel, and admittedly had a hard time picking from pictures of different properties. But I tell you – the property is even more beautiful than the pictures show, and this location is breathtakingly beautiful and perfect!

The property is very well-maintained, and everything was perfectly clean. The pool was well-maintained and the deck chairs were lovely to sit outside on. Our family spent most of our time out on the porch around the pool, eating appetisers and drinking wine during the afternoons. It is a perfect place to relax and lounge. You walk down a few flights of stairs to direct beach access, where you can lay out on your own towels or rent beach chairs from the little restaurant on the water. Parking is a little bit difficult, so I would try to minimize having a multiple automobiles… Everything is walk-able in town and you really don’t need it. Overall the house exceeded all expectations!

Speaking of the town - there are a handful of restaurants and all of them are absolutely phenomenal! The locals were incredibly nice to us even though most of my family did not speak Italian, and by the end of the trip we had actually made a few friends in town. We walked down every single day for one reason or another, and even my parents who are older had no trouble making the 10 minute walk.

Everything was flawless from planning all the way through to our departure day. Gennaro the house manager contacted us ahead of time to make sure we had everything we needed – and we asked him the favor of helping us plan daily groceries, daily meals, and even a boat trip! He was kind, thoughtful, and executed everything flawlessly! Even more impressive were our two housekeeper's, who come to the property daily to tidy things up. We asked for them to make two meals while we stayed there – and they were two of the best meals we had during our entire trip in Italy… Just as good as Michelin star dining! It is an absolute MUST to request a dinner from them! We really just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped us have such a special week!

Also thank you to Summer In Italy who helped us every step of the way - we’re so grateful for all the hard work! I specifically would like to thank both Luca and Klint who went above and beyond assisting me and my family to have a great vacation. I had a lot of requests before hand, and a lot of questions, and Klint meticulously helped me out with every single one of them. We are very grateful, and wanted to recognize his hard work. He is a total rockstar!

Travel tips

  • 1. I would not recommend bringing more than two cars, as there is no place to park them.
  • 2. Have the housekeeping staff make you a meal while you were there is an absolute must! Their cooking was absolutely phenomenal and I cannot thank them enough for how well they treated my family!
  • 3. Restaurant Taverna del Capitano has a cooking class that was really fun – because our group was so large we did not get to cook in the kitchen, however the chef (who has a Michelin star) came out and him and his entire crew took us step-by-step through how to make the most delicious meal… And then we had a private dinner overlooking the sea. Thanks Antonio!
  • 4. Gennaro the house manager helped us book a boat tour which was our favorite part of the trip! We left around 10 am, and Josie and her crew took us around Capri where we stopped for a beautiful lunch. We had so much fun… We ended up dancing to Italian music on board for hours during the sunny summer day!
  • 5. Marilena from That’s Amore Tours also helped us set up day trips that were AMAZING! She helped us find transportation to hike the Path of the Gods which was breathtaking. The second day trip she helped us set up was a tour of The Excavations of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. Our tour guide for the day was Micaela and she was absolutely phenomenal! My husband learned so much, and it was his favorite day of the trip.

Elegant and functional, with uncomparable views

September 2023 - Villa Felicita is elegant, functional and very comfortable and affords views like no other. The property is just perfect. The commercial kitchen is amazing.

Even with 14 people at the villa, we had no issues with lack of water for showers.

The pool is beautiful and was kept pristinely clean.

Summer in Italy staff were very helpful and supportive throughout our year long process of booking, and all of our questions were answered thoroughly and in a timely way.

Travel tips

  • The town has a well stocked mini-grocery store where we were able to get all of the supplies that we needed. It is also where bus tickets can be purchased.
  • We went to Lo Scoglio and Il Cantuccio for two of our dinners. Both restaurants were very accommodating for our large group, and the food was absolutely amazing. Il Titonno was great for every breakfast.

September 2023 - We have nothing but positive things to say about Villa Felicita.

In years past, we have stayed at villas in Lucca and in Barcelona, so we had high expectations. At one point during our 2 week stay we had a total of 12 adults. Villa Felicita is so spacious and open that we NEVER felt crowded -- everyone had their space.

First, the view is stunning - in the morning, we could relax on the terrace with our coffee and watch the water and hear the waves below. In the evening, watching the sunset with a glass of wine was the perfect way to wind down.

Second, Mimma, the on-site assistant, was wonderful to us and anticipated our every need. Mimma genuinely adds value to the villa and, not only takes care of the property -- but takes care of its guests as well.

Third, if you like to cook -- this is the villa for you. The kitchen is remarkably well-equipped. We grilled fish and meat (on an outdoor gas grill), we made pasta dishes, baked desserts, etc. Since many in our group love to cook, the excellent kitchen was much appreciated and well-used. There is a large gas cooktop, 2 refrigerators, a large walk-in pantry, every size of pot/pan/serving dish you would ever need. In addition, the villa is well stocked with enough ceramic plates and wine glasses for a very large gathering.

All of the rooms in the villa are very comfortable. The salt water pool is fun -- some of us even swam "laps" for exercise. The villa has plenty of lounge chairs outside overlooking the sea, as well as outside tables for eating and 2 large outdoor couches for lounging.

We highly recommend this villa.

Travel tips

  • Driving can be treacherous and you must be cautious at all times. For a trip to Ravello for an evening concert, we opted to engage a van service to take us and bring us back. We highly recommend Sorrento Silver Star (Tel # 081-877-1224). Luisa at Sorrento Silver Star also arranged for a memorable tour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mt. Vesuvius.
  • We engaged a boat/captain from Marina del Cantone to take us on day trips to Capri, Amalfi and Positano -- well worth it! Our captain was Peppe, who took excellent care of us.
  • The WiFi service in the living room is excellent. However, do not rely on phone service -- especially if you are from the US and using Verizon. Cell-phone coverage for AT&T and TMobile worked. Mimma also had a cell phone that she let us use.
  • The sea below is wonderful -- be sure to either bring "beach" shoes that you can use in the water (since there are rocks) or you can purchase them in Marina del Cantone for 10 Euros.
  • If you want to use the American style coffee pots in the kitchen, bring some coffee filters (cone size #4) - filters are hard to find in Italy.
  • Day trips to Sorrento/Amalfi/Positano can be done using the SITA bus -- it picks up close to the villa.
  • While the villa has space to park 2 small cars, there is additional parking just yards away.
  • We visited a mozzarella factory in Piano di Sorrento -- Caseificio Michelangelo (www.caseificiomichelangelo.com) on Via delle Rose (#91). This is a family operation - we learned a lot plus had fun.
  • There is a medium sized Conad supermercato in Sant'Agata dei Due Golfi. There is a very large Conad supermercato in Sorrento (which has a large parking lot). For quick purchases, such as milk, bread, etc. you can go to Olga's market in Nerano.

We hope to return again

June 2023 - Villa Felicita was enjoyed by my whole family. They were very happy with all house, location, beach. They especially like the town walking to at night to enjoy dinner and sharing time with the locals. Hope to return again.

This was our 3rd time at this amazing place!

September 2022 - This was our 3rd time at this amazing place! The last villa before Capri on the Amalfi Coast! The setting is unforgettable, the house a delight, and the care provided by the housekeeper (also a fantastic cook!) and the staff is unobtrusive and warm.

With boat tours, hiking, restaurants, swimming, snorkeling, etc., all available from the villa or the beach below, you could not have a more outstanding vacation.

It is absolutely perfect!

Summer In Italy was efficient and clear.

Travel tips

  • Book boat tours.
  • Ask the housekeeper to prepare a meal.
  • Climb to the top of the Punta Campanella - beyond the Saracen tower.

July 2022 - I had an AMAZING week staying at Villa Felicita.

Gorgeous house and property, having the pool but being close to the beach was an awesome bonus, and the town of Marina del Cantone was lovely. I can't say a single bad thing.

A perfect week. Thank you!

Travel tips

  • Enjoy. It's hard to leave the house at all it's so nice, but definitely explore the area, especially by boat.

September 2019 - We really enjoyed the view from the terraces, the direct access to the sea and much more.

If you would like to stay with all your family or friends (children included) in a quiet and luxury place and, at the same time, visit the Amalfi Coast and Capri then Villa Felicita is the right choice.

Many thanks to Summer In Italy! Good home page and communication, excellent people. I found a lot of useful information and support to arrange our stay in Amalfi Coast, really interesting.

June 2019 - Villa Felicita is a beautiful villa. The actual villa is beyond the internet photos.

Mimma [the caretaker] is wonderful on site. She is very helpful. I only regret that we did not have her prepare a meal for us.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. The location is fantastic.

September 2018 - We have traveled to Italy many times over the years and this villa was by far over the top! Mimma [the caretaker] was exceptional as a cook and so accommodating to our every need or request.

The view was amazing and the villa immaculate. Great water pressure too!

We enjoyed touring to Capri, Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi and Pompeii by boat.

We were fortunate to be able to spend 2 weeks surrounded by such beauty! All of us said the villa and the area was simply Paradise! We will be back.

Summer In Italy offers accommodating and prompt service. Luca was very informative and kept us up to date. Would utilize their services again.

Travel tips

  • Great restaurants: Taverna di Capitano, Quatro Passi -- they will transport you back and forth from the villa. The Campground for great pastries. Other good places to eat in the marina too.

July 2018 - The villa is located at a beautiful site. It is kept in immaculate condition.

Mimma, the housekeeper, works tirelessly and is a wonderful cook.

The villa exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely return.

Travel tips

  • Driving to this location is difficult. The roads are narrow with many switchbacks. Make sure you have very good directions. There is parking for only two cars at the villa itself.
  • Walking to the town center is easy, but it is awkward to travel to neighboring towns without a car.
  • The owner has an English speaking aide who can make any sort of arrangements for transportation, tours and boats directly from the villa.
  • Bring a lot of cash, credit cards are not favored by local boat owners or tour guides.

June 2018 - We had a family reunion and 50th anniversary gathering with our parents and family. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to a small town but also close enough to drive to more tourist destinations.

The house was immaculate, the kitchen well stocked and the views were tremendous.

It was a wonderful trip and we thank you for your help!

Travel tips

  • Enjoy the surroundings and try not to get too caught up in rushing all over the Amalfi Coast.
  • Rent a boat to take you to Capri. Our boat picked us up at the bottom of the hill and took us for an all day trip to Capri, to see the grottoes, swim etc. Well worth the expense to skip the drive to Sorrento and do the ferry.
  • Many of the restaurants in Nerano will ferry you back to the house in their boats. Very fun to do at night.

June 2017 - Fantastic. The location was secluded and quite and provided for a much needed respite.

The views were magnificent and the house had every amenity needed, was extremely clean and had Mimma to care for us. She was a jewel.

Travel tips

  • The villa is ideally situated in a location that is close to excellent hiking.
  • Enjoy a meal at Don Alfonso's in Santa Agata. Olga's Alimentari was the perfect little stop for great cheese, bread, coffee and everyday items needed. However, just across the street at Nettuno, one can buy milk and local wine for 4 Euros/litre.
  • Lastly, ask Mimma to cook you a meal. You won't regret it.

May 2017 - We had 7 couples stay in the villa for a week and it could not have worked out better.

All bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Pictures cannot do the view from the patio justice. It was our favorite hangout place.

Mimmi [the caretaker] was a tireless worker and she cooked 3 delicious meals for us.

We highly recommend the villa for large groups like we had.

You provide a very professional service with courteous and helpful staff that always provided quick turnaround on our email questions, etc. Keep up the good work!!

Travel tips

  • Restaurants in Marina Del Cantone (walking distance from the villa) were excellent and exceeded our expectations.
  • If you are sightseeing in the area, the villa is sort of isolated and roads are narrow and hilly, so count on extra time to get to places like Pompeii or Amalfi Coast. Remember that the isolation provides quiet and peacefulness at the villa so that is not all bad.

July 2016 - I could not have asked for anything more. It was a vacation of a lifetime.

The best part of the villa is the caretaker. Always there to help!! The best service, cleanliness, and overall charm.

the Villa has everything of very high quality. Table linens, kitchen equipment etc, etc. Each room has separate AC and Music controls. The elevator, the sea salt water pool, all are a WOW!

Thanks to the owner, the caretaker, and the rest of the staff.

I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone who wants that something extra special.

Travel tips

  • The marina that is just steps away, rents boats with drivers to go sightseeing at a very favorable price.
  • The owner and the caretaker will take care of your every need: hire a chef, throw a party, live music, everything.

July 2016 - Villa Felicita is a beautiful Villa in a stunning location. It has everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

We travelled with family and friends to get married in Sorrento. The Villa is spread over 3 floors and is immaculately maintained and clean. The views from many of the areas within and around the villa is absolutely stunning.

The villa has a very well equipped kitchen along with many other items including Sky TV, Wifi, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc.

On the eve of our wedding day we arranged for the housekeeper (Mimma) to cook for us all. This was a special night with us all (14 people) sat around the big dining room table eating beautiful home cooked food drinking local wine supplied by the owner, Mrs Valeria, as a gift. Mimma is amazing and nothing is too much trouble, she even presented us with a wedding cake at the end of the meal.

The Villa and the welcome we received was very warm and friendly which helped everyone have a fantastic stay with very fond memories.

I was a little unsure of the process initially when trying to book the villa, but as the time got closer the support and response I received from Summer In Italy was great. Thank you all for helping us have a fantastic stay and wedding in Italy.

Travel tips

  • If you get the chance ask Mimma the housekeeper to cook for you.
  • The local shops are within walking distance and have all the necessities at a very reasonable price.

June 2015 - According to our 8 year old son... best vacation ever! Our group had a great time!

The place was exactly as described and looked. The kitchen is a cook's dream -- fully stocked with pots, pans , plates, platters glassware to the hilt! We love to cook and did for most nights but we took advantage of Mima's [the caretaker] talent and enjoyed 2 lovely meals. Her pasta was hailed by the boys to be better than the Michelin starred restaurant in Marina del Cantone. Mima is a gem! Despite her halting English we communicated beautifully.

Travel tips

  • A car is a must if you plan to eat and cook yourselves or even do day trips.
  • Cash is a second must.
  • Conad is the local grocery in Sant'Agata but on the corner of Nastro Azzuro(#5) is a fish market that opens early and has fresh local seafood.
  • Banks are also located in Sant'Agata - bank di Napoli is just before the Sant'Agata church.
  • Restaurant Taverna del Capitano is worth every penny... try the surprise menu €110 - 7 courses of seafood.
  • If interested in learning about how mozzarella is made Caseificio Michelangelo run by Sara Russo in Piano di Sorrento is worth the trip.

September 2014 - Villa Felicita was a very nice Villa for our group of 6 couples! We had a great time and enjoyed the many amenities it had to offer.

It is super clean and was maintained very well by the housekeeper every day.

Everything within the villa is of very high quality and is extremely luxurious and beautifully decorated, per the pictures on the website.

The village of Marina del Cantone had great restaurants and convenient small grocery store and pizzeria.... we walked there every day!

We found doing business with your company very easy, professional and the booking procedure simple and efficient. We would use your company again! Thanks for answering all our questions well in advance of our vacation: it made us feel secure and found it helpful in planning our time. Your website provided a lot of great info too.

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Charlot about 3 km uphill in Massa Lubrense is excellent and reasonable. The family run restaurant will also pick you up and take you back to the villa! We enjoyed 2 great dinners and a wonderful lunch there!
  • You can walk from the villa to enjoy well marked hiking trails.
  • Hire a boat from one of the small family run companies to visit Capri and see the many grottoes along the shoreline. Count on a full day for this.
  • Rent small cars, as the winding roads are narrow and parking is limited.
  • Andrea [the caretaker], who speaks English, is a very nice young woman who can answer all your questions about the villa and you can book tours through her (the owner hired her to interpret and take the deposit money, etc. on the first day). We rented a bus for our group and she toured us along the Amalfi coast! Highly recommend her and her services!

May 2014 - The property is absolutely "top notch" and exquisite in every detail. The rooms are bright and airy, the views are magnificent, the location is remote, quiet and peaceful.

Local hiking trails make for great 1/2 day trips. Convenient for day trips to Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri and even to Pompeii and Paestum (by boat was quicker).

Friendly, polite staff members and excellent cook preparing local specialties.

Property manager at check-in was able to help out with daily excursions.

The rental process and correspondence were professional and timely. All pertinent details regarding the property were given; directions, phone numbers, etc. I was lucky to find out about your company on the internet and would indeed consider your firm for future rentals in Italy. I would definately recommend your business to friends and associates, as will the other couples in our group.
