The location is ideal, in the heart of town
August 2022 - I spent far too much time researching places to stay in my beloved Positano. But in the end, my efforts paid off tremendously. Villa Faustina E truly exceeded ALL of my expectations.
The location is ideal, in the heart of town making it easy to walk to the beach (5-10 minutes) or walk up to shopping on Via Pasitea.
The living space was impeccably decorated, spacious and had spectacular views of Positano and the Mediterranean. We never wanted to leave the balcony, which offered the best views of all.
What made our stay exceptional was the service provided before our trip by Summer In Italy, and Luca in particular. No question was too small and all of my questions were answered within 24 hours.
Once on site at Villa Faustina E the best you could hope for is a concierge with Martina, who helped us with amazing dinner reservations — including getting us into Le Sponda at the last minute when they were fully booked for the rest of the summer! She also helped us book beach clubs and a beautiful boat ride along the Amalfi Coast. The entire staff were absolutely wonderful to us.

We had a great stay
July 2022 - We had a great stay. Loved the location and the view.
The staff was wonderful and helpful!
Travel tips
- Just wear running shoes and socks! The hills will cause you to have blisters on your feet with any other shoes.
- Bring water shoes! The rocky beaches are hard on feet, but the water is too amazing to pass up!
- Walk all the way to the beaches without chairs and umbrellas to find some real world beach experience.

September 2019 - Would stay at Villa Faustina E again and would definitely recommend to friends. A view to die for.
Staff extremely helpful on a number of fronts.
Summer in Italy were easy to deal with and we didn't have any problems.
Travel tips
- Faustina E is on the 3rd floor and a bit of a walk up the stairs, but has the best view. Didn't regret staying here.

Fantastic
September 2019 - We enjoyed our stay at Faustina E. the apartment was impeccably clean.
We were greeted warmly by Katya who helped us with directions and recommendations while we were there.
We spent most of our time on the terrace where we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast while watching the town come to life in the mornings. In the evenings, we sat on the terrace with our wine just enjoying the view of the harbor.
There is nothing the owner could have done to make our stay better.
Travel tips
- Take the ferry at dock in Positano to Amalfi and Ravello if you want to enjoy the best views of the Amalfi Coast.
- The bus stop is just a few steps from our apartment and the buses took us to Sorrento and to the train station for our trips to Pompeii and the towns high up in the hills. Easy to get around!

May 2019 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Faustina.
We really enjoyed the fact that the villa is extremely well located for all the activities and visiting both in Positano and elsewhere on the Amalfi Coast. Just a few hundred meters down the road there is a main SITA bus stop which you can use to efficiently and comfortable get to pretty much anywhere on the Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano,...)
Just across the Residence there is a bus stop for the local Positano bus which you can use to get to the other end of Positano (Chiesa Nuova district). You can also hop on this bus to get to Nocelle, from where the Walk of the Gods hiking trail begins.
The beach is located just a short 5-10 minute walk down. On your way you will cross nice boutiques, art dealers and restaurants.
A short walk down a few steps you will find the alimentari (delikatessen/food market) where you can find everything you need to arrange a great picnic (or even a more elaborate meal) on you beautiful terrace. The fresh mozzarella di bufala cheese, olives, grilled vegetables and other prepared antipasti are just great. All you need is a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread and you are all set for a delicious light meal or snack. At the same market you will also find fruits, vegetables, milk, juice, coffee and anything else you might need.
One of the strong points of this Villa Faustina is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Fernanda is one of the friendliest and most welcoming persons we have come across during our many recent stays in Italy. She instantly make you feel at home with her warmth and will really go out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay at the Residence. Fernanda is also a wealth of information and, at your request, can provide you suggestions on restaurants, activities and sightseeing. She will also handle all the bookings for you. We rented some scooters and Fernanda arranged to have them delivered and picked-up right at the residence (free of charge). Thanks again Fernanda for the great stay we had at Villa Faustina.
Internet access is available for a very reasonable charge (10 Euros for a 12 hour bank). We found the 12 hour bank to be more than enough for our 1 week stay. Service was generally reliable and the speed was decent.
The villa also provides a cleaning service (every 2 days) at no extra charge, which we found to be a nice touch.
We ate awesome food in Positano's restaurants. I especially recommend Mediterraneo, La Tagliata, Lo Guaracino, and Cafe Positano. We ran out of time to try Lo Scirocco, but everyone we spoke to said it was awesome. If you are fan of Neapolitan music, Mediterraneo features live Neapolitan music 3 times a week. If you want to try traditional, home-cooked style food then don't miss La Tagliata.
Keep up the great work. You helped us find just what we needed for a beautiful vacation in Positano.
Travel tips
- If you are a fan of the outdoors and of hiking/walking, don't miss Il Sentiero Degli Dei (the Walk of the Gods).
- Fornillo beach is a nice, more secluded beach not to be missed.

April 2019 - The location and view are breathtaking and worth the steps to get to it! I found the staff helpful and discreet and loved the treats left for us after a long day sightseeing!
Spa bath was excellent after busy days and relaxing with a glass of wine on the balcony perfect!
Found your service professional and prompt and would definitely book again through you.
Travel tips
- If you wish to see any English News TV, there are no English channels.
- We booked a taxi for the day and it was a great way to get around and see all the other towns along the Amalfi Coast.

May 2018 - My wife and I spent a week from the middle of May at a spotless Villa Faustina E. It was FANTASTIC.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations by far and we were genuinely very sorry to leave.
Fernanda [the caretaker] was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome indeed.
The views from the living room and terrace are stunning and almost unreal.
I found Summer in Italy on the web and everything went well from there. Well done.
Travel tips
- Positano is fabulous but include day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento and Capri.
- Make use of the fantastic breakfasts on offer at the villa and use the deli on via dei Mulini.
- Get advice from the landlady on good restaurants and try the local limoncello.
- Salvatore and his drivers from Amalfi Car were great.

Summer in Italy is a wonderful company... I will use your services again when I visit Italy. Everything was well-planned (i.e. directions, etc...).

- Positano is very fun to just relax and soak up the sun and shop and eat (and drink wine!). BUT it was nice to take a few day trips.

Very good
July 2012 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Faustina E and we spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching all the activity in the harbour below.
There were a few flights of stairs from the street to the apartment, but they were manageable, and it was worth it to have that wonderful view. The apartment was large enough for the three of us and was clean, with linen and towels changed every two days. There was a good dishwasher, small fridge and washing machine. There was wi-fi internet access but we found it somewhat unreliable.
Staff in the shop downstairs were helpful, both at check-in and during our stay when we had queries.
Service from Summer in Italy was very good, from initial enquiry through booking/payment. Website good. Lots of useful information. We were particularly appreciative of the gentleman who came to help us when we got off at the wrong bus stop.
Travel tips
- Had two very good meals at Restaurant Bruno (about 50 metres up the hill from the apartment).
- Relatively easy to get to Pompeii by bus and train (took about 1:45 hours each way).
- Consider a day trip to Capri. We went on a small boat with only 10 passengers, which stopped several times so we could have a swim. Wonderful.
- We used Fornillo Beach (not as crowded as the main beach, and not as expensive to hire chairs/umbrellas). It was about a 10 minute walk from the main beach along a cliff path, or there was a little shuttle boat which ran at peak times.

September 2011 - We really enjoyed stayed at the apartment.
The view from our balcony was the best we have ever experienced. Wish I could have taken it home with me. Walking up and down the hills and up to our 4th level apartment was not as bad as I expected. The location on the coast was best for us to visit Capri, Salerno and the other towns on the Amalfi coast by bus or boat. I'm so glad we didn't rent a car. Parking is impossible and navigating the mountain roads would have been difficult even with my California driving experience.
The friendliness of the staff and our contact Fernanda was superb. Fernanda helped us book a boat ride to Capri that was wonderful. A 25 foot boat with 5 other couples.
Positano is a shopping village and was moderately crowded every day.
Travel tips
- Be prepared to to a lot of walking and climbing many stairs.

June 2010 - We had a beautiful stay in Villa Faustina E during June 2010.
The villa is in perfect location with beautiful view, very cozy and had everything we needed for our 5 days stay. My husband and I and our two teenage sons felt very comfortable in the space and loved & enjoyed every minute of our stay.
There is a small cute grocery shop very close by which we went to every day to buy fresh fruites, bread, cheese and wine and made use of our balcony with the fantastic view every morning and everytime we returned from our day trips.
They offer a flat rate to have access to Internet which was very reasonable.
Already I am thinking about my next reservation for the villa next door which had a great very large patio. Overall, very lovely and nice experience.
I thought the reservation process with Summer in Italy was fantastic, I would use them again and again for our future trips to Italy.
