June 2011 - We certainly did enjoy our stay at Villa Faustina.
Perfect location, quiet side-street, but close enough to all the facilities and the beach.
Close to perfect :-)

July 2010 - I was with my daughter and 2 granddaughters. We had a wonderful time. I could not have picked a better villa.
We needed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The beds in the other hotels where we stayed in Rome and Naples were harder then we are used to, so we were not surprised to find your beds were the same, but we slept great anyway. Our biggest problem was that we had to leave after just one week. Maybe some day we can return.
My daughter had read about your town and gave me the web site to find a villa. The 2 bedroom arrangement is what we wanted and it was perfect.
Travel tips
- We took a boat ride to the blue grotto, and the girls took one to another grotto and swam off the boat.
- The food was good and we tried a different restaurant each meal. We even took a boat to a restaurant up the coast.
- We fly back home out of Naples and took the boat instead of the bus and train. Much better.

September 2007 - The unit itself was lovely... very spacious and, except for the living room, very bright & sunny.
It was clean & well taken care of, towels were changed every couple of days. It is a huge unit and could easily handle two couples or a family. With the two bedrooms at opposite ends of the unit there was lots of privacy. It really is a nice place :).
I was surprised that it was literally on the main road which is where you were when you opened the door! Although it could be a bit noisy during the day it was much quieter at night. The views of the ocean, though not of Positano itself, are spectacular.
The owner was always available if we needed anything and the young man that greeted us was delightful :).
We love Summer In Italy! I have already recommended you to everyone that I have spoken too. You were so quick to respond to all my emails and helpful with all the info that you sent me.
Travel tips
- If you are planning on going to Capri go when you first get there! We left it until the last 3 days - the first one it rained, the next two, even though it was sunny & warm, the ferries were cancelled because of rough seas!
- Book dinner at Restaurant La Tagliata... it is a restaurant way up above Positano. Everything is included for 35 Euros including picking you up and dropping you off, wine, 5 different courses with soooo much food you can't eat it all. They have live entertainment, dancing (including the waiters and cooks who will grab you and drag you out there!) A really great experience.
- Take advantage of the buses that take you to places like Amalfi, Ravello, etc. They are cheap and the stop is steps away. Make sure you get on the right bus!

May 2007 - We loved Villa Faustina.
The rooms were wonderful... it was much more spacious than we had imagined... and being able to take two steps from the bed and be on the balcony with that million-dollar view! We slept with the balcony doors open so that we could enjoy the view while lying in bed listening to the ocean waves washing against the shore down below on the beach (couldn't see much of the beach itself, but could definitely hear the wave action).
The location is on a main road so Vespas would buzz by on occasion, but that was a small inconvenience for wonderful accommodations at a very good price.
The in-room breakfast is definitely worth-while... wish we hadn't waited till our last morning to order it.
SummerInItaly.com is far and away the best web site of its type. This is my second time using it (stayed 2 years ago at Casa Stella along with my sister), and didn't even bother checking other web-sites this time.
Travel tips
- You have to take 2 buses to see it, but Ravello is definitely worth the trip. And if you get a chance to see it, Salerno is very under-rated and overlooked.
- If you are in the market for ceramics, without question the best place to shop is the seaside town of Vietri sul Mare, just north of Salerno. The items in the shops there were of much higher artistic quality and at much better prices than the more frequented towns.
