I highly recommend this as a vacation spot!!
October 2023 - My niece and I spent four night and three days at the Villa Corradina. It was so relaxing and spacious. The perfect location, just outside of the busy district of Positano, but very convenient for walking to restaurants and shopping.
Everyone involved in the process of finding the place, renting, getting the keys and settling in were terrific. Giovanni Paolo [the owner] was waiting for us when we arrived! Thank you! I highly recommend this as a vacation spot!!
I found all of the Summer In Italy staff super helpful. Klint answered all of my questions. He was gracious and took his time making sure I was comfortable with the culture I would be visiting. Thank you.
Travel tips
- Restaurant Da Bruno has delicious food, a gorgeous view, nice staff and a delicious Lemon Tiramisu!! Highly recommend.
- Ceramica Assunta has beautiful pottery selection. Was very happy with my purchase and they ship internationally.
- Angelo Cafe is fun for pastry.
- The little market right by the stairs to the villa is great. The owner is so lovely and her food is delicious.
- Day trip to Amalfi, Rovello and Pompeii was terrific.
- The Positano Porter luggage service, they wear blue uniforms, are great and very helpful, especially transporting luggage to and from locations. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home in an excellent location
June 2023 - Yes! It is a beautiful home and is in an excellent location. It was clean and spacious. It has a fantastic view from the terrace.
Summer In Italy is absolutely the best! Luca, Klint and Anita were so kind, very responsive, and super helpful. They answered every question we had, and we had plenty! Very patient and kind people to work with. They made our stay super easy. I highly recommend doing business with Summer In Italy, and hope we have the opportunity to do so again.
Travel tips
- Great location to everything - shops, the bus stop, the ferry - and right at the base of the stairs is a market that is so convenient to buy food, bottled water, and my favorite, cappuccino!

Incredible views, great location
October 2022 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our 2 year old son and my wife's parents at Villa Corradina.
The views were incredible and the location was great, just a short walk down to numerous shops/restaurants. The unit itself is spacious and not overly decorated/done. There is also a great boutique grocery store below the unit, which was perfect for a morning coffee and picking up wine/groceries.
Be mindful that there are quite a few steps up to the unit from the street level but that is the case throughout Positano.

Lovely home a short walk from the city center, highly recommend a stay here!
September 2022 - This lovely (and spacey!) home is a short walk from the city center. They have a washing machine which was easy to use and helpful. From the balcony there’s a beautiful view of the coast! There is a very convenient market right below where you can get anything you might need for your stay.
Paolo was such a helpful host, he met us at check in and showed us a parking spot and the private beach (about 400 m from the house). Paolo even arranged to take us on his beautiful boat - we had dinner reservations in Nerano) and he took us at sunset, provided prosecco and explained a bit about the coast to us - making our stay in Positano even more Incredible! Highly recommend a stay here.

Spectacular apartment! Great view and perfect location
August 2022 - Spectacular apartment! Very spacious, clean interior with a great view of the water from the terrace. Very convenient to have the kitchen and washing machine. Having access to the private beach was incredible; we went every day of our stay!
Perfect location: walk downstairs, get a sandwich and other snacks from the cafe at street level, and then walk to the beach staircase.
Everything worked for us!
Summer In Italy made the entire process simple and easy. Communication before, during, and after our stay was impeccable. Safe, trustworthy, reliable. Can't recommend enough!
Travel tips
- The restaurants down the block are very friendly and have nice sidewalk seating for dinner in the evenings!
- Definitely take advantage of the cafe downstairs for breakfast and for beach snacks, too.

Perfect location, amazing view
June 2022 - Perfect location just off the main road and about 200 meters to the main staircase down into the heart of Positano. The view off of the balcony is amazing. Bring binoculars so you can spy on the super yachts.
The owner is great and has a wealth of information about the area. He arranged for us to use his personal garage for our rental car which was convenient for seeing the other towns in the area.
Summer In Italy was excellent. Great information, super helpful and always available. Will use you guys in the future directly.
Travel tips
- Ask the owner if he can arrange a boat tour of the coast. He took us out on his brother's boat and it was a highlight of our trip.
- Highly recommend doing the Path of the Gods hike. You can take a bus to Amalfi then onto Bomerano where you then hike along the top of the mountain range (downhill) back to the apartment in Positano. 7 km, amazing views.

We even hired Paolo for a 3 hour boat tour of the Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend.

Perfection in Positano
September 2019 - We had a wonderful time exploring Positano for the first time. Our apartment was spacious with tables and chairs. Kitchen very efficient and the two bedrooms and baths worked out well. Great having washing machine. View is breathtaking. We enjoyed taking this in daily. Only suggestion would be to have patio chairs so can enjoy the setting better.
The semi private beach was wonderful. Just be sure to know it is a very long and steep walk up and down. Having the parking spot was a necessity in Positano despite it being a long ways away from the apartment. Also be prepared to walk up steep stairs to the apartment but a great way to continue to get your exercise in Italy.
We would highly recommend this location to future travelers.

The owners are lovely and live in Positano so if anything comes up they are accessible.
When we travel back to Italy we will definitely use Summer In Italy again!

Would stay again
July 2019 - Property was perfect for what we needed. A/C, clean, large and a private beach!
Giovanni (I hope I am remembering that correctly) met us at our cab, walked us to the place and even carried our bags up the 50 steps to the place. So wonderful. As the listing states -- there are a set of at least 50 steep stairs up to the property. But if you don't like stairs, don't come to Positano. Stairs everywhere!
Private beach was amazing and you could kayak (in the kayaks provided at no charge) to the little beach bar next door. Again, a million steps to the beach, but so worth it. Very nice of them to offer access to such a beautiful place.
Would highly recommend the place. Wasn't right in the middle of town, but the walk was very short. Very quiet this way in our place so maybe that is a plus! Views at night from villa were stunning!!!! Consider yourself lucky if you get a chance to stay here.
“Future guests, please kindly note that we are not advertising the availability of the kayaks. It might be a nice bonus, but we can't guarantee that they will be available at any future dates or at any time of the year.„

Very nice villa that suited our needs perfectly
June 2019 - Villa Corradina is a very nice villa that suited our needs perfectly. It is exactly as advertised. The view from the balcony and from almost every room in the villa is breathtaking. The villa is very spacious and the air conditioning works great.
The villa comes with the direct access to the sea and to a beach. We only allowed for one beach day on our trip and it was our favorite day of the trip. The beach is small and secluded and has a bathroom. Yes, there are hundreds of steps down to the beach but it is so worth it. We would stay at this villa again just to gain access to this beach.
The owner Paolo is wonderful. He has a beautiful boat and is available for boat rides down the coast. We didn’t have time to schedule a trip with him. After seeing his boat and meeting him, I certainly wish we had been able to take a ride with him. We loved your villa and would absolute stay here again. Thank you for such s lovely villa!
Summer In Italy was amazing from start to finish. I would absolutely use your services again.
Travel tips
- There is a great little grocery downstairs and the owners are so nice. We told them that we were staying above them when we arrived and they gave us fresh bread as a welcome.
- There is a larger grocery within 10 minutes walking that has almost anything you may need.
- Collina Bakery is a 10 minute walk and is great for breakfast items. We would often stop on our way back in the evenings and get breakfast for the next morning.
- A day trip to Capri on a boat was a beautiful sight from the boat, but Capri is not worth the visit. Town is crowded and touristy. If I had that day to do over, I would have scheduled a day with Paolo and stayed closer to Positano.
- Restaurant Bruno is just down the street and was excellent. Make sure to make an advance reservation (online) for outside seating. The view of Positano is amazing.

April 2019 - Excellent stay at Villa Corradina, perfect location with an outstanding view. Short walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and beach. Food shop below the house was ideal for coffee, water, breakfast and lunch.
Unit was well maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The steps to the unit were a bit tough after a long day but that is also part of the wonderful charm of Positano. Highly recommended.
Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided.
Summer In Italy was great, will recommend to others and will use you again. Booked with you as had what we were looking for. You also made it very easy and simple.

Travel tips
- Buca di Bacco great restaurant, La Zagara good pastries, lunch.
- Ferry trip to Capri was great, do the chair lift at Anacapri, great views.
- Using the ferry to visit the neighboring towns is cheap and quick. As well if arriving via public transportation.
- The ferry is a good way to get around as opposed to public buses or taxi's.

October 2018 - We enjoyed it very much - it was exactly the way it was advertised. Location was great, close enough to walk places but also away from the city center crowds. It was clean and very comfortable for 4 people.
Very easy to work with Summer In Italy, communication was prompt and clear, loved the newsletters prior to our trip. A family member rented a villa from the company years ago and told us about it. I will definitely recommend your company and hope to use it again someday.
Travel tips
- Loved the little grocery store at the bottom of the stairs - it was very convenient.
- Chartered a boat for the day to sight see around Capri, see the grottoes and go swimming. It was the best day we had in Positano and Mario, the captain, was a gracious host.

We decided to book with you because of the location and view. It was nice to find that the property was managed by Summer In Italy because professionally managed places tend to have less surprises.

So conveniently located
September 2018 - Villa Corradina was an excellent choice for our stay. Location was so conveniently located -- right by a bus stop if needed, walk-able to restaurants and not too far away from the beach. Having an option of a direct access to the sea and to a sandy beach was great as well.
Insider was very spacious, especially the living room, and views out the windows were just beautiful.
What made it even more outstanding was our host Paolo, he was so extremely helpful when we had a medical emergency. He went above and beyond in helping us contact car service, and was in contact with the hospital to make sure we were getting the help we needed. Wonderful person.
I loved our experience with Summer In Italy. I had never heard of it before so wasn't sure when I first saw the web site, but the availability and prompt responses by staff quickly helped gain my trust. So glad we found you guys!
Travel tips
- There are some steps going up to the apartment, which wasn't bad but something to be aware of.
- There's a small shop downstairs next door where you can pick up a very refreshing lemon slush after you've arrived on your long travels.
- I would recommend going down to the beach and taking the ferry when possible, and not the bus --- they can get crowded so you may miss your bus and get pushed around ect. If its the last bus of the day --- avoid if at all possible. More pricey to take the ferry but beautiful views and experience while on vacation.
- We did not think ahead of mosquitoes -- so make darn sure you have repellent ready for this trip. I got bit the most in Italy than anywhere I've ever traveled.

It is located in a great central location to all the Amalfi Coast towns
September 2018 - We had a great time at Villa Corradina. It is located in a great central location to all the Amalfi Coast towns. We were able to travel to see Pompeii, Ravello, and Amalfi in day trips. Driving is totally crazy but in our opinion is the best way to get around. The house is easy walking to the Main Street Positano restaurants, shops and public beach. 52 steps from the road to the villa with luggage so pack light!

LOVED
July 2018 - We LOVED Villa Corradina! It is very spacious, clean and had incredible views. The location was prime and we could walk just about everywhere in Positano. The air conditioning worked great and was a savior to have in July. Also, the street parking that comes with the rental was appreciated. The only thing that future renters should be aware of are the very steep stairs to get to the house. Not a big deal but worth mentioning if you have health issues. Probably our favorite thing about Villa Corradina was the direct access to the beach and to the sea. It was such a nice feature to offer away from all the hustle and bustle of the crowded public beach.
Paolo [the owner] was very nice and helpful when we checked in.
Summer In Italy was very professional and easy to communicate with. Would definitely book with them in the future.
Travel tips
- There is a cute market just at the bottom of the stairs of the house that sells wine, coffee and other foods.
- There also many restaurants within walking distance including a really sweet spot called Restaurant Da Bruno (which was recommended by the owner).

We had a wonderful time in Positano
June 2018 - Villa Corradina was the perfect spot for our group of 4. We had a wonderful time in Positano. The house was so spacious, with gorgeous views of the Mediterranean. We spent many hours lounging on the deck, it faces the east so it was perfect for each evening as it was in the shade. The house is well equipped for meals in, with plenty of room to cook and dine. The location was perfect for us as we could catch the bus at the nearby Sponda bus stop to visit other cities along the coast, or just stroll into the heart of Positano within minutes.
The owner met us promptly, helped us with our luggage and gave us an overview of the town. Please ask him if he will give you a boat ride along the coast, we did and it was one of our best days, including viewing the many coastal towns from the water, seeing the Emerald Grotto and snorkeling. He also pointed out some interesting sights.
It was such a plus to have direct access to the beach equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas and kayaks, giving lots of options for activities or for just lounging with a book.
This is my 4th time booking with Summer In Italy and once again our vacation was perfect. The house was described exactly as it was, the customer service was spot on. They know their properties and they want to you to have a great vacation. Thanks again!
Travel tips
- Spend a day and take a water ferry to Amalfi, then a bus to Ravello and visit Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, you will love seeing the coastal sites as well as a beautiful and quiet small town.

Villa Corradina exceeded expectations
May 2018 - Villa Corradina exceeded expectations. The description of the house and photos are 100% accurate. The house was clean, the living space was huge, and both bedrooms were much larger than you'd expect in Europe. The kitchen is a little small, but has almost everything you need. The terrace was huge and, while the view isn’t into Positano town, you still have a beautiful view of the bay and hillside. We didn't try the direct access to the sea and beach as it was a bit chilly. Great place and can't wait to come back.
The space is at the top of the hill of the center city - about a 10 minute walk. It’s only 49 steps from the street to the house - not a lot by Positano standards and they aren’t as steep as some. The bus stop is directly across the street from the steps. From the house, you can make it to the center of town in 10 minutes and the other side of town in about 20-25. The walk to the beach and shops further below the city center is anywhere from 15-25 minutes, depending on where you want to go. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The host spent ten minutes showing us around the property and explaining the washer. He provides sun hats for men and women and umbrellas.
Everything was great with Summer In Italy. Would not change a thing. Have already had three friends book with you since we found you.
Travel tips
- Li Galli Bar Bistrò - 5 minutes from the house - breakfast, pizza, open EARLY for cappuccino and pastries, good service and spectacular view even by Positano standards.
- Collina Positano Bakery - 10 minutes, directly in middle of town on the right side from house - pizza, café, best gelato in “town”.
- Restaurant Da Bruno - 5 minutes from the house, on the right on way to town past Li Galli Bar Bistrò - had two great meals there.
- Casa Mele - at the bottom of the steps of the house, hard left, 100 feet away - considered one of the best in town by locals, best meal and service we had (saw two sommeliers from other restaurants dining there).
- La Taverna del Leone - shuttle picks up to take you five minutes away - above average.
- Sirenuse Hotel for oyster bar and views - 5-10 minute walk.
- Directly at the bottom of the steps to left there is small bodega/grocery store perfect for water/beer/wine/property stock up.
- The owner can take you on the boat during season (starts mid to late May).

Loved
August 2017 - We loved Villa Corradina. It was perfect for 2 couples. The best part of the house (apart from the brilliant location), was the direct access to the beach (reserved for only a few other villas). It was so hot in August and the main beach in Positano was crowed and NOT inviting. But when we visited the private beach nearby, every morning and afternoon we were there. We never saw more than 6 other guests.
The caretaker was very informative when we arrived and explained everything.
Summer In Italy was recommended to us by a friend. They provided an excellent service when inquiring and booking. They also provided a very informative monthly newsletter to prepare us for our holiday.

Great location
October 2016 - Villa Corradina is a lovely, airy, bright, substantial house in a great location in Positano with beautiful views along the Amalfi Coast. The only room that is less than spacious is the kitchen which is very small and basic but adequate.
Summer In Italy were very helpful and highly efficient in responding to emails and requests for advice. I particularly liked the help they provided in getting a taxi to collect us from Naples airport. I can't fault their friendly service and will definitely look to use them again to book another holiday in Italy.
Travel tips
- There are quite a few steep steps up to the property which potential residents need to be aware of, and the road at the bottom of the steps is busy.
- Don't have a car! Use the buses and the main stop is just at the bottom of the steps to the house which is very handy.
- We used the bus to get into Amafi and Ravello. It is an interesting bus journey along the very windy road and the buses were very busy but it was pretty efficient.
- Be prepared to do lots of walking up and down steep paths and roads.
- Take some of the small pathways that wind between the houses to discover different parts of the village.
- There are numerous restaurants and all the ones we tried were very good especially Restaurant Next2.

A wonderful time
July 2016 - We had a wonderful time in Villa Corradina, it was the break we needed as we had been travelling around Italy for two weeks and appreciated the break.
The property did not face the pretty side of Positano, but had a nice quiet view, and the stairs were many! Not much can do about that when in Positano, as the walk will get you in great shape. The beach has many steps, but again, when in Positano... Hike is a daily thing.
Overall we had a wonderful time there, the villa was nice, the view was a bit of a surprise to us as we thought we would face the other side of the mountain, but in the end, it was a bit more quiet. We look forward to returning back to Positano again one day.
Very reassuring knowing that we had someone meet us and guide us through when we arrived in a very busy town at rush hour.

Close to everything in Positano
July 2016 - Villa Corradina is perfectly located, close to everything in Positano. It is very spacious. The two bedrooms/bathrooms are at opposite ends of the villa so it really gives you privacy, especially if you are sharing with another couple. You can sit side by side on the terrace but there is no room for a table.
The private beach is beautiful and we preferred it to the crowded public beach, but be prepared for stairs. There are about 230 steps to get to the private beach (50 from the house down to the street, 180 from the street down to the beach)... Well worth the small effort.
Travel tips
- The day trip by boat to Capri is a must.
- The little cafe (Li Galli) is just a few steps away and a very scenic place for coffee and croissant in the morning or a birra in the afternoon.

Excellent location and view
May 2016 - Villa Corradina has an excellent location and view. However comfort factor can be increased with better fittings and stronger force of water in bathrooms and larger and better equipped kitchen. Lot of space in bedrooms but beds could be made more comfortable. Overall we were very happy and the location and space and the light in the house made up for the other points.
The owner was very helpful.

March 2016 - We really enjoyed Villa Corradina! The view is fantastic, the location perfect, and the space is large. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Summer In Italy was wonderful. I have booked through this website before, and both times have been easy and wonderful. Also, we were late getting into Positano, and I did not have a way to contact the owner. I emailed Summer In Italy and had a response within a couple of minutes. I sincerely appreciated the quick response and helpfulness. I will highly recommend Summer In Italy to anyone I know who is going to this area.

October 2015 - We stayed for 9 enjoyable nights at Villa Corradina, in September 2015. The house is very spacious with 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room/dining area, well-equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and the terrace with its MAGNIFICENT view, where we spent much of our time. There is also the direct access to the sea and the beach.
The location is ideal, a 10-15 minute walk to town, near restaurants, convenient store a few steps away and bus stop (Sponda) across the street, which was convenient for trips to Amalfi and Sorrento.
We had everything we needed for a pleasurable stay and would stay again.

September 2015 - Enjoyed our week immensely. Million dollar view, great location, European charming.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable with wonderful architectural details. Be sure you're able to climb fifty steep steps from the street to the door... daunting at first sight, but doable. Of course, being high up in the cliffs gives the awesome endless view of the sea and the houses in the cliffs... a magical scene at night. Most definitely worth the climb!

July 2015 - We had a lovely time. We really enjoyed the location.
The kitchen, although small was really functional and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Even though it was really hot, the villa was cold and we only used the air conditioning some times. The private beach was terrific. There weren't too many steps (something we were worried about because I have bad knees).
Travel tips
- Enjoy your stay.
- We recommend driving only if you are familiar with small European roads otherwise get a driver to pick you up.
- We enjoyed the food at Restaurant Da Adolfo - but you need to book well ahead as in high season there is a wait of up to an hour for the boat to get there.
- We made a day trip to Pompeii which was amazing.
- We stopped off at the Auchan supermarket in Pompeii which had a very good selection of foods.

June 2015 - Villa Corradina is very well located, right next to the bus stop (very convenient) and at the entrance of Positano.
The house is exactly like the pictures, big, bright and airy and very clean. The balcony is on the small size but we enjoyed it very much and everyday. All appliances including washing machine were working including the WI-FI and air conditioning. Kitchen well equipped.
Yes there are 50 stairs to get to it but it has it's advantages: the view, the quietness and everyone needs exercise. In any case it is a warm-up for the rest of Positano.
About 5 min away there is access to a private beach that we also enjoyed every day. There are approximately 180 stairway steps to the beach but it is well worth discovering. The vegetation, the scenery and the view are spectacular. We would go back in a heart beat.
The owner was very nice and very helpful.

Travel tips
- The location of Villa Corradina is great. Just a short walk down the hill and you are in the center of everything.
- We loved getting coffee and pastries every morning at La Zagara.
- Would definitely recommend Fornillo Beach over Spiaggia Grande. However, it does take some walking to get to, not for the infirm or elderly.
- Favorite restaurant was Da Vincenzo in Positano.
- Highly recommend dining up to Montepertuso at Restaurant Il Ritrovo. They even pick you up and take you home!
- Ravello is a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Positano.

May 2015 - Villa Corradina is a lovely house.
There were two couples sharing it and it worked out perfectly. Two nice bedrooms, two nice bathrooms, plenty of living space and a very pretty view from our balcony. We would definitely recommend Villa Corradina to others.
Summer in Italy was extraordinary -- got right back to us with answers to our questions, very efficient, friendly. Their recommendation for a driver helped us all week and we were so impressed and pleased. A very well run operation.
Travel tips
- There is space for a car but this is a tough driving area.
- The buses are fine, can get crowded, but there are excellent private drivers available to help.
- There is a nice grocery in town that will deliver your groceries at no charge!

The owner was very helpful.
The booking process with Summer In Italy was very easy. After researching for many months, I decided to go with you because of the support and backup from the staff.
Travel tips
- We enjoyed the traditional Italian coffee so much that we bought two Italian-style coffee-maker to take home with us. We also enjoyed Limoncello.

September 2013 - Excellent Villa, exactly as described and met our expectations. Wonderful views from the balcony.
Although the main coast road is directly below the Villa the noise level did not disturb us and was not too bad as it was some height below the villa.
Excellent service, I would highly recommend Summer In Italy as a business to book Villa's through. I would use them again. Thanks.
Travel tips
- Be careful when stepping on to the road at the bottom of the steps from the Villa as the road is dangerous. You only have to walk about 50 feet on the road to reach the safe pedestrian walk way down the hill in to Positano.

September 2013 - Just what it said on the tin!! Beautiful view from the terrace, very spacious and clean, everything in the villa that you would need, the only minus I saw really, was that it could do with updating in the bedroom off the living area, specific the beds and bed linen.
Kitchen basic but well equipped, we didn't use it as we ate out, just boiled the kettle!!
When we first arrived and were faced with all the steps (with luggage) we took an intake of breath, hence had none left when we reached the top, but this said we got used to it by the end of the week. A little shop at the bottom of the stairs for refreshments, was very well used.
Would recommend anyone to give it a go we loved it and would go again.
Travel tips
- On a busy road, but you don't hear it, you are very high up.
- Don't go to Bruno's restaurant if you are English (you pass it on way into Positano), very rude staff and extremely bad service although it looks nice because of the views. We were fooled.
- Don't drive also unless you are formula one trained, no parking anywhere else apart from the owners space which he will let you use. I would get boats everywhere much more relaxing, and safer.

July 2013 - Villa Corradina is great, spacious, light and airy. All the rooms are big, apart from the kitchen but this could be the norm for the country. The balcony is narrow needs some decent chairs with a table but this would be my only gripe as it has great views.
The little private beach area is great and well equipped.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our stay.
Summer in Italy were extremely helpful, prompt with replies and answered any queries we had. The information sheets forwarded to us following our booking were an excellent guide for what to expect on our arrival at the villa. We booked through Summer in Italy because that was the website we found the villa on - it was a good choice.
Travel tips
- Villa Corradina has plenty of room. The views are fantastic.
- The bus stop is so close and it is only a short walk to the restaurants, beach and supermarket. We caught the bus to Sorrento and then the train to Pompeii - it took about 1 1/2 hours but worth the trip.
- Do a boat trip to Capri, that was interesting.
- Make sure you go to La Trattoria restaurant - it has fantastic views and the food is amazing there is so much of it (try and get the local bus otherwise it will cost you about 30 euro to get there - there is a courtesy bus that brings you home).
- The only thing that might deter people is that there are about 50 steps up to the villa so if you are elderly or have very young children you might want to take that into consideration.

May 2013 - Villa Corradina is a charming place to spend two weeks. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and something I looked forward to seeing each morning.
The villa is large and well decorated and the location in Positano perfect. We loved the walk down Via Christopher Columbus to the central beach. The steps back and forth were NOT a problem and kept us from gaining too much weigh from all the wonderful Italian food we ate during our stay.
We did not use the private beach during our stay because of all the other things to see and do along the Amalfi Coast but in the summer it looks to be quite inviting.
We particularly enjoyed having our own private parking space for our Alfa Romeo that gave us added mobility to explore the area.
The bottom line is that this is a great place to spend a vacation!
We were extremely pleased with your services. The website gave us a pretty clear picture of our accommodations and the followup worked out bringing us together with the owner. Thank you!

The location is great, and remember it's not a hotel so you can't expect hotel bathrooms or bedrooms... they are more family like, clean and comfy but not elaborate. The Villa is a great size for 2 couples or a family. We found the kitchen good enough to cook all sorts of meals in, although small it will have everything that you need.
The caretaker was extremely helpful and you know when he says to call him if there is an issue he means it. We were grateful to have a parking bay allocated to us, about 400 metres down the hill, in Positano car bays must be like hens teeth.
We have been travelling in Italy for a month now and have experienced enough places to know that the Villa Corradina is both a great location and great value for money. We have no hesitation about recommending it. Have fun... we did.

September 2011 - Fantastic location, an easy walk to everything, and gorgeous views. Even the daily 50 steps up to the villa were not difficult, and having the bus-stop right across the street was a big plus. The 200 steps up from the beach were a challenge, but this was well-worth it, and I would do it again (and I did!) A great place! New, more comfortable furniture in the living room would be my only suggestion.
You guys did a great job, and I would certainly recommend you for future needs.
Travel tips
- Stay here!
- Restaurant Da Bruno just down the road was nice, and convenient, but servers were overwhelmed and ignored us. But food was very good.
- Best food we had in Positano was at Restaurant Saraceno D'oro on the other side of the village -- but well worth the 20-minute walk. We went twice.
- A day trip to Ravello and the boat-trip to Capri are must-do's.

September 2011 - We loved that there was so much room and the view was spectacular.
It would have been nice to have a little larger terrace, but we did enjoy sitting out there. We had a wonderful time there; would have liked the lights for the steps not to have to turn off at night, as it was difficult to get up at night.
Your pictures and the location helped us decide on your place. We also liked that you sent us Summer in Italy newsletters.
Travel tips
- Make sure you find out where the private beach is. It is extremely hard to find, as we were not given very good directions. We expected it to be on the other side of the street. It's a lot of steps, but wonderful to swim! [be sure to ask the owner! He will show you how to get there]
- Also, put all your food away, as there are ants.
- Recommend Cafe Bruno, Mulino, and Mediterraneo ristorantes. Also Zagara for pastries!
- Don't recommend Capri unless you go off season: very crowded and touristy. However, the boat going over there was wonderful. If you do go, use the one that has Heather, the guide from Australia.
- Sorrento, Ravello and Amalfi are beautiful, but go early before the tourist buses.

I was delighted with the customer service we received. The notes you sent on shopping and the clear directions were particularly useful.
Travel tips
- The property is very close to a bus stop, Sponda, and within a few moments walking distance of Positano.

August 2011 - It's a great place. There were 4 of us (7 and 4 year old). Allows you more space to allow for differing bed times etc. Don't be put off by the small balcony space it is more than adequate to sit and enjoy the beautiful view and glass of wine.
At the foot of the stairs there is a convenience store and around a 10 min walk into the main town. All in all a pretty decent but basic place.
Villa has access to a private pebble beach which is a good 10 min walk away.
Overall the experience was good and we would stay in Villa Corradina again.
Travel tips
- Car is needed to cut down on wasting time waiting for public transport.
- There are around 50 steep steps to the front door so if you have mobility issues or back problems getting yourself and your bags up the steps could be problematic.

Travel tips
- The two best restaurants we ate at were Restaurant La Tagliata 1400 feet above Positano, and Restaurant Da Bruno, about a block and a half from the villa. La Tagliata will arrange car service up and back from the restaurant. Expect to wait for the transportation. The views were outstanding, as was the food and plenty of it: a meal with grilled meats was 35 Euros per person, and this included a bottle of their decent house wine.
- We hired a car to take us to Paestum and Ravello, and we really enjoyed both places. We would recommend highly Renato, our driver.
- We loved Amalfi, but thought the Emerald Grotto was a huge rip off.
- We very much enjoyed Herculaneum -- much more so than Pompeii. More of the frescoes and mosaics are still there, and Herculaneum is better signposted and is much smaller and less overwhelming than Pompeii.

October 2010 - Villa Corradina is in a great location and we had a great time in Positano. We were glad it only had 50 stairs which was good for this location. Also, it was great to have a reserved parking space this was a huge bonus. Loved the Italian yellow fridge!
Owner was very responsive to replacing new coffee pot and changing some burnt out light bulbs.

October 2010 - We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Corradina. We were sorry we only booked it for a week!
The villa is in a great location, not far from the centre of Positano and right beside the main bus stop (Sponda), which makes it very convenient. There is a small shop at the bottom of the steps that lead up to the villa and this makes it very handy for stocking up on the basics like bread and milk.
The villa itself is very spacious, bigger than it looks on the website. The view from the terrace is fantastic. This is a great spot to sit out and relax with a bottle of wine (or two!). All the essentials that you need (washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, lots of towels, adaptors etc) are on site and will help lighten your packing.
Overall we found the property excellent and would have no hesitation recommending it.
We found the website to be one of the best we have used. The amount of pictures and detail about the property is fantastic and a great help when trying to chose. Any queries we had were answered very quickly and overall we found dealing with Summer in Italy a very good experience. We will be definitely be booking through you again and we will recommend you our friends.
Travel tips
- If you are planning to spend some time on the beach head for Fornillo beach rather than the main beach. It is much nicer and cheaper and less crowded. There are bars/restaurants right on the beach and if you have children it is very handy to be able to relax here with a coffee/beer and still be able to keep an eye on the kids who will be right in front of you.
- The restaurants in Positano do not really take children into account when it comes to their menus which can add a lot to the bill. We did not see one restaurant with a kids menu.
- The walking in the Lattari Mountains above Positano is fantastic and the scenery amazing. Get the bus up to Montepertuso or Nocelle and walk some of the great paths up there. I've walked the "Path of the Gods" from Bomerano to Positano, which is amazing, but I prefer the path from Montepertuso to Santa Maria del Castello (via the Caserma Forestale) and back down to Positano. Or just take one of the paths back down to Positano. It's well worth the effort.
- Day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento and Marina del Cantone are recommended.
- The restaurant La Conca del Sogno in Recommone near Marina del Cantone is well worth the effort. It is a bit expensive but the location will more than make up for this.

October 2010 - Villa Corradina was fabulous. It was spacious and the views from each room were wonderful.
Although we were only two people, having the two bedrooms and two bathrooms was greatly appreciated. The architecture of the interior with vaulted ceilings and arched windows added to the beauty. As a base for our holiday we were delighted in the location which was a short walk to town and great views along the way.
It is a very large place with ornate ceilings so you wake up in the morning with lots of space and then the fresh air comes and you can have trouble getting out of bed!
You are extremely friendly and helpful and went out of your way to help us with non-accommodation issues. I will only come back to Positano after booking my accommodation with you. Thank you for making our time a dream holiday and wedding.

October 2009 - We loved our stay at Villa Corradina. Other than being a little noisy from barking dogs and motorcycle traffic on the road below, it was a lovely apartment with an amazing view. We were able to walk into Positano several times a day because of its close proximity to shops and restaurants. It also has its own private beach which we only used once -- only wished we had taken the time to use it more often.
The owner helped us carry our luggage up the steep stairs when we arrived, which was very helpful. Also, the hairdryer didn't work, so within an hour of calling him, he brought over a new one for us. Very nice and accommodating to our needs.
We would not hesitate to rent Villa Corradina again if we are ever lucky enough to come back to Positano!

September 2009 - This is a lovely apartment with a clean, minimalist feeling to it, yet still warm and welcoming. There was plenty of space for 3 adults and 3 children and we felt very at home. The only downsides are the location & terrace. The apartment is a bit more off the beaten path than the places we've rented previously in Positano. It's a 10- 15 minute walk to the main beach and another 10 minutes to Il Fornillo. And the terrace is unusually shallow for Positano and really is not suitable for outdoor dining unless you are just a couple.

July 2009 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Corradina.
The apartment is much more spacious than we expected, and the location is located close enough to town and Spiaggia Grande to reach those areas in a 10-15 minute walk but far enough away to avoid the noise and congestion of being right in town.
We enjoyed very pleasant evenings sitting on the patio, enjoying the views towards Praiano.
Travel tips

October 2008 - My husband and I were here on our honeymoon and liked it very much. The villa overall is very spacious and comfortable, and it is right in town so it is just a short walk to the center of Positano.
Because it is on a main road, there is a lot of traffic during the day (keep in mind the villa is a ways above the road) it can be a little noisy. But after hours it is very peaceful and quiet.
The private beach is a little bit of a walk, but is absolutely worth the effort! We spent several days lounging around and swimming.
Overall, we were thrilled with the villa - it is exactly as advertised. Thank you!!!
Travel tips
- The parking spot is a ways down the road from the villa itself. Parking is at a premium in Positano, so it is wonderful to have a reserved spot. A bit of advice is if you have a lot to take from your car to the villa, unload on the side of the road by the villa and then park. It will save you many trips.
- Definitely take advantage of the private beach - it's a walk and then stairs (273 I believe) but it is perfect! The water is crystal clear and there are chairs provided for you.
- A boat trip to Capri is well worth it and not that expensive (about 40 Euros per person for the day). You get to see the Blue Grotto which is such a unique experience, and Capri is a beautiful island. Be sure and take the Funicolare (Tram) to the upper part of the town. Lots to see and lots of shopping!
- Several must sees are Pompeii - the city is about 2/3 excavated and very impressive. Also, the Vulcano Solfatara in Pozzuoli. It doesn't look like much, but you get to walk right up to open sulphur vents and boiling mud pits. The Romans used to go there for the naturally occurring saunas affectionately named Pergatory and Hell. Yellowstone it is not, but a lot of fun. Warning, you will smell like sulphur for the rest of the day!

August 2008 - We enjoyed our time at Villa Corradina. It was a great apartment.
We would have like to have a larger balcony or outside terrace where we could take in the beautiful views... the balcony is only about 3 feet wide.
The kitchen is very small but workable as long as you keep things simple.
The owners were great the private beach was a huge bonus to us as the beach in Positano was always crowded and expensive... the only down side with the private beach was the 273 stairs (my wife counted them).
I know it must be tough describing these places especially to someone from North America... I was prepared, my family were less prepared... but once they realised there is no level land in Positano they got in to it and we went up and down into town every day sometime twice a day.
Travel tips
- Get your legs in shape... Positano is a vertical city to say the least.
- You have to hunt for the best shopping, my advice is to take the bus through the entire town most of what goes on below Villa Corradina is tourist... but up higher on the main road we found the butcher, the baker and best of all the fishmonger and prices are much cheaper in these areas.
- Lots of good restaurants but the one we kept coming back to was Da Vincenzo's excellent seafood and service.

June 2008 - We were very happy at Villa Corradina. We recommend it very highly.
The addition of the parking space is very helpful. We had everything we needed and more.
Thanks a lot to Giovanni Paolo, our friendly host.

May 2008 - My husband, two brothers and I have an amazing time in Positano and living at the Villa Corradina for a week.
The apartment is beautiful and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Giovanni Paolo [the owner] was very nice and reliable. It was a perfect week.
My husband and I have vowed to go back and stay in maybe another (smaller) Summer in Italy property as soon as we can
This is the second property we have rented from Summer in Italy and have not been disappointed either time. We will use them again and have told our friend how satisfied we were with the properties the ease of the transactions and the locations!
Travel tips
- Be in good shape! Walking around Positano and the neighboring towns all day and then climbing up the stairs to the apartment at the end of the day was tiring!
- The neighbors were lovely (the woman next door was especially sweet) and having a store at the bottom of your stairs was very convenient! The store owners were friendly and helpful.
- At the bottom of the stairs, in the middle of town (at the sea front) you will find several artists. Talk to Pasquale, he is friendly and very knowledgeable about the sights, the people and the customs. He was wonderful.
Unfortunately, Villa Corradina can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
