Old style house
October 2024 - We enjoyed our stay in Vico Equense and enjoyed Casa Toni. The location of the apartment is very nice as there are lots of good restaurants in the town.
Casa Toni is very spacious and was easily big enough for 5 of us and the parking space was a godsend as it would be hard to find a space in the town. The house is an old style house, typical of where grandparents live. Old style kitchen, bedroom and front room but comfortable enough.
Travel tips
- It is a great base for exploring. Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, Naples and all are around 40-50 minute drive. Positano is not far but the mountain road is always busy and it is full of tight turns.
- We had very good food in the town and all are strong 30-40 euros per head.
- The small beach below is nice and a short walk but a tough one on the way back as it is up the steep pathways but a good way to work up an appetite! We enjoyed our stay for 5 days.

Amazing view
September 2024 - The view alone from the terrace is worth a million. The location is a little tricky to find but our driver knew exactly where to go. Very spacious apartment with all the necessities of home. Place is just as seen in photos. Very safe neighborhood. Would definitely recommend staying here and looking forward to staying here again next time we visit.
I really enjoyed staying here. Felt safe and right at home. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you Luca for sharing your home with us. Casa Toni is spectacular.

Perfect location, highly recommended
June 2024 - We LOVED Casa Toni! The location was perfect for all we needed. Short walk to the train station. Shops and the central round-a-bout with restaurants and festivities was just down the street. We couldn't be happier.
The villa was spacious. Large bedrooms that were perfect for our teen agers to have their own. Our favorite spot was the terrace overlooking the marina! Every morning and evening we were outside enjoying the view of the Bay of Napoli, the marina, Mt. Vesuvius and watching all the goings-on.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Summer in Italy. Each time I called, Klint or Luca or the other staff were SO friendly and helpful. They speak great English and were able to help me communicate with our owners when we had communication issues. Our information prior to arriving was very detailed and helped us know exactly what to do to get to our villa and to reach our owners. Thank you for making our stay in Vico Equense so wonderful!!
Travel tips
- Vico Equense is a small town that is not too touristy. We loved trying to speak to the shop owners and at the restaurants. We knew very little Italian and ALL of our interactions with the local towns people were fun and positive!
- We loved the the main round-a-bout with the surrounding restaurants. People gathered every night. The Wembley restaurant for watching football, Pizza a al Metro for 1 meter of pizza (try the pistachio & lemon pizza)!! A must do!
- Hotel Sporting for our "fancy" meal was a great experience. The staff was SO nice and the sunset was beautiful!
- The small private deli/grocery just steps from our villa had the freshest sandwiches. The bakery almost next door had wonderful pastries. Gabriella's for gelato and dessert EVERY NIGHT! The staff would say "see you tomorrow" when we left -- they knew we were coming back.
- Easy access to the train station to go to Pompeii and Sorrento (where we left for our day trip to Capri).
- A fun impromptu day taking the gondola to Mt. Faito was a blast! Nikola who runs the Bar Faito at the top was wonderful -- excellent food, drink and hanging out with us with the music turned WAY up! Definitely take the 45 min walk to the church for the view - the caretakers were SO friendly!
- Vico had festivities most of our stay. It was so fun to be a part of all the celebrations!
- The steps down to the beach were one building over. There are A LOT of steps but we loved the exercise going down and back up.

Bigger than we expected
May 2024 - We LOVED Casa Toni!!! It was exactly as described and the pictures were accurate -- bigger than we expected.
But the view from the terrace? Absolutely breathtaking!!! It was perfect for our family. Only thing missing was wi-fi - but we certainly survived ;-)
This was an important stop for me, as my grandfather was born in Vico (back in 1891!) and I have always dreamed of seeing it.
My family even remarked that they were glad that it wasn’t our last stop on the trip because they wouldn’t have wanted to leave!!
Luca and Summer in Italy were great to deal with and very responsive. I saw Casa Toni listed on Airbnb and contacted the company directly -- saved some money! Lots of information provided in the months leading up to the trip was very helpful too!
Highly recommend!!!
Travel tips
- There is no wi-fi in the apartment but a short walk to a café and you can connect.
- Day trips to Sorrento and Pompeii were great - have fun if you’re driving! Enjoyed Scrajo Beach - bring water shoes for the rocks. The crystal clear water was worth it.

Very good
April 2024 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Toni, it was lovely and quiet there and so convenient to the town center, however the apartment is looking a bit tired.
Summer In Italy were really good to deal with, I would use them again.
Travel tips
- If using the Circumvesuviana rail, give yourself plenty of time especially if you have to be somewhere at a certain time.
- Be careful if buying your train tickets at the Pompeii station, check your change, the guy there throws the tickets under the screen along with any change minus what he has kept for himself, also happened in Naples.

The view from the very large terrace was just beautiful during the day and night!
October 2023 - We enjoyed Casa Toni very much! The view from the very large terrace was just beautiful during the day and night.
Thak you for letting us enter your apartment early, it was very much appreciated. Also, caretakers were fantastic! They were so friendly, helpful and available. What a great husband and wife team - they helped make our visit enjoyable and special.Luca from Summer In Italy was most friendly and helpful during the entire process, great company! Summer In Italy was fantastic from the beginning of our trip planning to the end. We do not know what else you could have done except pay for our trip (Ha Ha)!! Thanks to Luca, he was just a delight to work with and help to make everything come together. Thank you!
Travel tips
- Traveling the region is very easy by train to which you can walk to.
- Our favorite restaurant was TITOS and we also enjoyed Hotel Mary (very nice balcony with beautiful marina and sea view from high above). We also walked down to the beach/marina and the restaurant (all blue tile patio) right on the beach under the pine trees which was very relaxing and had a beautiful water view. All three of these restaurants were walkable although the walk down to the beach is via lots of steps across from overlook park.

Excellent place to get away from the busy streets of Sorrento and Positano
June 2023 - Casa Toni was a great place to relax and chill for our holiday.
It was close to all local amenities and under a 10 minute walk to the train station, but closer still was some great restaurants and cafes. Casa Toni is an excellent place to get away from the busy streets of Sorrento and Positano.

The spacious roof terrace was incredible!
April 2023 - A wonderful apartment with a lot of space and a magnificent sea view. With its 3 nice bedrooms, big living room, 2 bathrooms and a big kitchen there was a lot of space inside the apartment. And the spacious roof terrace was incredible! Every morning we had our breakfast on the terrace with the fantastic sea view.
We enjoyed 4 wonderful days at Casa Toni in Vico Equense in April to visit Pompeii, Napoli, Mount Vesuvio and the Amalfi Coast with our 3 kids.
The owners of the apartment are very nice! Thank you very much for a perfect time!
Summer In Italy provided a very good service! Quick information, nice contact! Perfect! Thank you very much!
Travel tips
- It's a short walk to the train station at Vico Equense and next to the apartment there is a very good bakery and an office for renting a car, what we did for one day to get to the Amalfi Coast.
- Supermarket Conad in the town.

If you are looking for a spacious flat off the beaten track, this is the place to go
October 2022 - Very spacious holiday flat in the middle of Vico Equense (3 bedrooms, large living and dining room, kitchen and two bathrooms). Absolutely fantastic terrace with view of the sea, the gulf and Ischia.
Quiet and yet central location. Shops for all needs in the immediate vicinity (bakery, fish shop, supermarket, bar etc.), the Circumvesuviana train station is also less than 10 minutes away on foot. The beaches are also very close on foot or by lift (Sporting).
Communication with the owner was very quick and uncomplicated. When I checked in, I was even picked up by car from the station!
The flat may be a bit old-fashioned, but it definitely has everything you need and it's a great contrast to the standard "Ikea-AirBnB-flats"! If you are looking for a spacious flat off the beaten track, this is the place to go. Absolutely recommended and I'll be happy to come back!

Spacious, pleasant and functional home featuring a large terrace with panoramic view of the Bay of Naples and Ischia.

October 2019 - We enjoyed our stay at Casa Toni very much. The stunning view, the spacious flat, the well sorted kitchen... It's located in the city center, shops, cafes, train station, restaurants, beach are all in walking distance.
Summer In Italy was very professional and fast. Really happy about their service!

If you’re looking for wonderful views, with plenty of room for a party of 5 this is your place
October 2018 - If you’re looking for wonderful views, with plenty of room for a party of 5 this is your place. I would highly recommend Casa Toni if you’re traveling to southern region of Italy or if your plan is to visit Sorrento, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast etc.
There are truly 3 full separate bedrooms and two full baths, with one bathroom having a stand-up shower and the other with a tub and hand-held shower extension. The master bedroom was equipped with two twins push together to form a king and has a door which walks out to the balcony. The other two rooms have twin beds, windows and each room have huge wardrobes. There’s a full kitchen (stove, oven, fridge), dining table in the kitchen and additional table for 4 in the living room.
Again, the views from the terrace were amazing, dare I say breathtaking and if I ever traveled back to Vico Equense I would book Casa Toni for the views.
Summer In Italy were very helpful and accommodating.
Travel tips
- The apartment is equipped with a washing machine and racks outside to hang your cloths (no dryer).
- If you travel in the summer months, the apartment does NOT have air condition, but the owner provided 2 fans in the apartment and if you open the windows the cross ventilation was wonderful for us. We were there end of September and temperature was around 75 degrees Fahrenheit (Celsius 23.8).

We especially enjoyed the huge roof top terrace overlooking the sea and mountains
September 2018 - We stayed 5 nights in September 2018 and loved the place. We especially enjoyed the huge roof top terrace overlooking the sea and mountains in the back. Highly recommended, huge 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with fabulous sea view roof top terrace, great value!
The location right in the heart of Vico Equense was perfect for getting groceries and a morning coffee, as well as the many fabulous restaurants near-bye. With the Circumvesuviana commuter train a few minutes walking from the apartment, we were able to take a train directly to Sorrento (10 min), Pompeii (30 min), Napoli (50 min), and never used our car the 5 days we were there. Casa Toni is in a gated community with safe on-site parking so no worries for the car.
Our hosts were present and provided all the necessary info upon arrival then left us alone to relax and enjoy.
Summer In Italy were great to deal with, excellent communication. Thanks for taking such good care of us!
Travel tips
- Vico Equense is a great base for exploring the area. The town is lovely, very friendly with great shops and restaurants.
- Take the train to visit the sights along the Sorrento-Napoli coast.
- Rent a boat with captain at Sorrento to tour Isle of Capri, skip the ferry line and sail over for a beautiful day of sun-swim and sightseeing.
