A very nice, clean and well-equipped apartment
May 2019 - A very nice, clean and well-equipped apartment. Everything works perfectly. It is very well located and the town is nice and rather quiet.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
The owner is very kind and very helpful!
We have got a very good service from Summer In Italy, with fine information. The best we have tried ever! Thank you to you!
Travel tips
- The nearest "alimentari" is very small and with a few articles. A bigger shop and a very fine butcher are located near bus stop 7, close to the tourist information. The biggest shop is located opposite: take the stairs in front of the house, turn left at the street and walk about 1 km. Here are many articles.
- If you want to use the Sita buses: they are often late and overloaded because of the many tourists. Be at the bus stop in very good time or try an earlier bus.

We loved staying here!
May 2018 - We loved staying here! Casa Piersilvia C was the perfect space for my stepmother and myself. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed the street activity in the morning. There was always something going on, including 3 burros hauling constructions supplies! Over all a wonderful place.
We also loved Ivan the host. What a joy he is.
I would use Summer In Italy again. It was a good decision!
Travel tips
- There is a hardware store below, and a small market right up the street.
- Use the local bus to get around. Don't take a car if you can. There are plenty of options with the buses.
- Eat at Vivaro Wine Bar! Excellent food, and even more of an experience.
- Praiano and the Amalfi Coast is a beautiful place and I feel I left a little piece of my heart there.

May 2017 - We enjoyed Casa Piersilvia C very much and would recommend it. The location is perfect but noisy soon in the morning because of the hardware store located at the ground floor.
Ivan, the owner, was fantastic and helpful.
The team of Summer In Italy is awesome and very helpful organizing our tourist trip in Italy.

Very good
June 2015 - Very clean, comfortable apartment with everything you need. The south facing terrace is small but big enough for two to sit and enjoy the amazing views. The location was very good being just across the road from the local bus stop.
The owner lived close by and was very nice and helpful. We were very happy with everything.
Booking was fine, very easy.
Travel tips
- There is so much to do and see in this beautiful area.
- There is a good choice of restaurants down the hill on the main road.
- You can catch a bus up the hill to go home.
- There is a small shop just below the apartment and a much bigger, lovely shop on a lower level going in the direction of Amalfi.
- If you rely on public transport be prepared to do a lot of walking and the buses get very crowded but we managed to get everywhere.
- If you enjoy walking, the Walk of the Gods is incredibly beautiful.

Fantastic
May 2015 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Casa Piersilvia C, a quaint apartment which is situated in Praiano, a typical Italian village.
The apartment had everything we needed and was situated in a wonderful position overlooking the sea.
We were made to feel very welcome and very quickly felt part of the small village where the locals smiled and tried to converse.
The owner offered a warm, friendly welcome which was most appreciated. Keep up the good work and thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to return one day.
Word of mouth was our deciding factor when booking. Summer In Italy offered very informative information which made our choice easier. We would recommend their service to our friends.
Travel tips
- Make sure you have good walking shoes to explore the area.
- The local bus provides a good service to most surrounding areas.
- The friendly shopkeeper situated below the apartment will provide most goods you should require.
- Check out the local restaurants - we found them to be excellent.

June 2014 - Casa Piersilvia C was a good deal, incredibly clean with a stunning view. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on our next visit.
The owner, Ivan, went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed and understood how to get around with ease. When questions arose he came within ten minutes. I would like to thank Ivan and let him know what a kind person he is and how much we appreciated his warmth and generosity of time.
Booking process with Summer In Italy was completely thorough and organized. Thanks.
Travel tips
- The Amalfi Coast is stunning and leaves one feeling they need nothing.
- A little noise from the hardware store below in the morning but the hardware store owner became a friendly presence as we developed relationships over the week.

April 2014 - A friendly neighborhood location on a quiet street with a fantastic view of the coast, nearby excellent restaurants, grocery, church. We would not hesitate to book this apartment should we have the chance to return to the Amalfi Coast.
The property owner Ivan went above and beyond expectations to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Your service was first rate. Thanks for all your help making our Southern Italian visit a memorable experience.
Travel tips
- The Walk of the Gods was great.
- Praiano is convenient to Amalfi and Positano but quieter, with a more relaxed atmosphere.

October 2013 - We LOVED Casa Piersilvia C!
Mr. Ivan was a wonderful owner, very friendly, helpful and kind. He provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The location was perfect. We got to experience village life... The food, the friendly down to earth people, the laughter of the children playing in the town square.
It was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip and it was so pleasant to come back to this charming, quaint apartment. We loved watching the sunrise and enjoyed the quiet of the evenings.
You guys are AMAZING! Your newsletter helped us out a lot, especially when it came to the restaurants and parking. THANK YOU for all the great advice.
Travel tips
- Make sure you walk everywhere, as Praiano was our favorite village.
- The best little grocer is just three doors down from Casa and our favorite red wine was the Amalfi coast wine. We regret not bringing any home.
- Our favorite day trip was hiking the Path of the gods... Absolutely the highlight and you start right there in the village.

Very good
October 2013 - Really great flat, excellent location - you have to get used to the steep landscape but it's the same everywhere in the region.
The bed was really comfy, and we had everything we needed.
The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. The only very small downside was the noise in the morning from people in the street outside and the flat above, but that's to be expected in a town where people are working.
All in all, would definitely recommend!
Travel tips
- The owner told us about a free natural/sparkling water machine just a few metres from the flat, which was brilliant!
- The local shops are great, especially Tutto per Tutti.
- The local bus into Positano was easy to use.
- In the town, Che Bonta was our favourite place to eat - great pizza and friendly service.
- Hotel Le Fioriere served lovely cocktails from a beautiful terrace in the evening.

September 2011 - Our stay at Casa Piersilvia C was first rate!
Mr. Ivan [the owner] was extremely kind and helpful. He drove us to and from the bus stop and was available for anything we needed.
The apartment was large, open, bright and spotlessly clean - not a speck of dust or a single water spot! There were even fresh flowers and a bowl of lemons & limes on the kitchen table - very nice!
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, which we enjoyed on the little terrace overlooking the sea! The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful!
Travel tips
- There is a small hardware store right under the apartments. Also, the little orange local bus runs on the street right below. This can cause it to be a bit noisy. However, I enjoyed listening to and watching the locals live life. If you're OK with a little street noise, don't hesitate to book any of the Casa Piersilvia apartments!

August 2011 - We loved Casa Piersilvia C, it was a beautiful, clean and bright suite.
Mr Ivan [the owner] was so kind and helpful, we so enjoyed our trip and hope to come back.
I will recommend Summer In Italy to other travelers, thanks very, very much.
Travel tips
- Plan your day according to the bus should you need it to come back from the beach, as it runs on the hour or half hour, you may just want to check before you walk up to meet it so that you're not waiting for an hour.
- Parking can be found if you're willing to walk! Mr Ivan [the owner] kindly explained about the white, blue and red lines on the pavement to help us best determine where it was best to park.
- Tutto per Tutti Market has everything you need, from produce to meats + cheeses and a lovely wine cellar down below. Bus tickets can be bought there too: just remember to plan around siesta time, when everything is shut for a couple of hours.
- Walking to the beach is a descent of many many steps, it's a beautiful walk that can be enjoyed best if you bring along water + a hat!
- Take a boat to Capri for the day - as it was high tourist season when we went, Capri was packed with tourists, but the boat trip there and back with Positano Boats was amazing.
