Dreamlike

September 2020 - We had a wonderful holiday in this complex. We had a studio apartment with a separate entrance and our own terrace with a view of the pool and the lake.

The complex was very well maintained and the hosts were very nice and polite.

We would definitely come back again!

August 2020 - We had a great stay. The pool was a bit cold (August) but, it was nice anyway!

The staff was very friendly and kind, check-in went very smooth.

It is a great location if you have a car.

We recommend to rent a boat and check out the Como Lake.

Fantastic

August 2014 - Was a beautiful outlook over the lake and although uphill from Lenno, the greenway path was a nice walk.

Everyday the owners would leave suggestions, eg. where to go, what to do if raining etc. This really made our holiday because we did everything they suggested, so saw amazing places! There seemed to be things always happening too in Lenno and Tremezzo, especially in the evening, like concert in the park, European market, rowing races; these events were an added bonus!

You guys were great, most helpful and quick to respond. Really loved our holiday, Thank you!

Travel tips

  • Take a rain jacket because when it rains it pours!
  • This is not good accommodation if you don't enjoy walking, it is very hilly!
  • No duvet provided, only sheets but we did find a blanket on our last night!

August 2013 - The location is wonderful and the residence is very well located. The view to the lake is amazing. It is a very quiet place, perfect for holidays.

The apartment was very clean. All the necessary equipments are provided, included air conditioning which is necessary.

The family who manage the residence is very kind. They take care of any need. In a few words, it was a perfect holiday.

Thanks to you for all organization and informations provided. It was a pleasure to deal with you.

Travel tips

  • Don't worry about parking. There is a big parking area near the church, at 100 meters.

October 2010 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Panorama Uno. The apartment was very modern and clean and furnished with everything we required for our stay. The view from our very spacious balcony was terrific: we were up most mornings (we have a 1 year old boy) and loved watching the sun rise over the mountains.

The location on Lake Como was wonderful and it was easy to walk to the nearest villages, Mezzegra and Lenno. Travelling around the lake is very easy with frequent boats to other beautiful villages.

We loved the local restaurant Antica Trattoria del Risorgimento too. We will definitely be returning!

July 2010 - Very clean and well maintained.

No inside sitting area other than at the kitchen table.

Washing machine was very expensive Eur 8 to Eur 10 depending on size of load, and same for dryer if used. The equivalent where we stayed in Montepulciano was Eur 8 in total.

The drive was steep with a sharp bend, which my car (Volvo S60) could not turn in one movement. This made coming up the ramp difficult.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Travel tips

  • If you use the bus you should buy a ticket first from a nearby shop.
  • Long cars may have difficulty with the ramp.
  • Greenway walk was pleasant and well marked.

May 2010 - We have mixed feelings. The view was awesome and the balcony for this unit was an adequate size. The living room was really non-existent with a table and three chairs under a head-banging stairway and a single uncomfortable chair... no sofa. The bathroom was modern but it was on the first floor and the poorly lighted bedroom was upstairs. Management furnished one roll of toilet paper and no soap of any kind. Also, bring a hairdryer [or borrow one from the owners].

There is a wine cave on the property, which was open some evenings for tastings and small appetizers. The managers were very nice.

The view made it all worthwhile.

Your customer service is excellent. We'll be back in touch for our next trip.

Travel tips

  • If you are physically fit and plan to spend all of your time on Lake Como, you don't need a vehicle.
  • There is a Greenway which goes down to Lenno and the boat (battello) dock and market. The Greenway also goes to other nearby towns, such as Tremezzo/Villa Carlotta. We took the battello to Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como.
  • Try the lake fish and smoked salmon pasta at Trattoria Santo Stefano in Lenno.

July 2009 - Beautiful location with exceptional views. Staff very helpful and lovely clean and well maintained aparment with large veranda.

Up hill from lakeside so quite a walk back from small supermarket if no car.

Really enjoyed our stay. So easy to visit other lakeside towns and villas by boat.

Pool area and gardens clean and comfortable.

Service including call centre worked well thank you.

Travel tips

  • The 'green walk' of Lake Como goes past the door and is excellent for avoiding main roads and seeing a bit of the local area.
  • Easy walk downhill to beautiful Lenno with ferry stop and lakeside cafes and lido for swimming.

June 2009 - We found it a great place to spend a week on the shores of Lake Como. The apartment was impeccably clean and everything was provided for a very enjoyable stay.

Summer in Italy stood by its promise of a great location/apartment. We found you online and your description of the properties seemed both detailed and knowledgeable.

Travel tips

  • Be ready to walk everywhere, so bring very comfortable shoes.
  • Visit all the towns where the Lake Como boat stops, particularly Menaggio.

May 2009 - We enjoyed very much our stay at Casa Panorama Uno. It was perfectly clean, well situated, very quiet and comfortable.

I must add that during the 5 days we were there, we practically had the whole place to ourselves, since only one other apartment was occupied.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and were given all the information we needed every day. However, I must add that, at first, we were a little bit "intimidated" and "annoyed" and sometimes "irritated" by the many written rules and regulations. Here are some examples: "The kitchen area is to be kept clean at all times, failure to do so will incur a 50 euros fine" One of the other rules stated that if we did not call the day before our arrival, it could incur a fine", which made us quite nervous because we could not use a phone the day before our arrival; but we had announced our arrival via summerinitaly.com, so there were no fines! We have been renting apartments and houses in Europe for 13 years; we had never seen something like this. Finally we presumed that there had been problems before and that's why there were so many rules, regulations and fines.

We were very satisfied with the services provided by summerinitaly.com.

Indeed, we also found "unusual" the amount of "rules and regulations" when we visited, and yes, we asked why, and yes, the answer is that the owners have had big problems in the past with some of their guests. However, it must be said that what is even more surprising is to find out how welcoming and warm the owners are, always available and ready to share their lifelong knowledge of the area to make their guests' vacation outstanding. They really care. Incidentally, no one guest who has booked through us has ever incurred a fee :-)

Travel tips

  • Villa Carlotta is a must.
  • The farmers' market in Lenno, on Tuesdays is very nice
  • don't forget to bring a roasted chicken or roasted piece of veal shoulder to your apartment for lunch.
  • The one day pass for the boat between Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna is very interesting. Varenna is worth the visit, as well obviously as Bellagio and Menaggio.

June 2008 - We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Panorama Uno! We were made to feel very welcome, the owners are so lovely and helpful.

It is a small apartment but is perfect for a couple, the views are amazing -- the balcony is large enough to sit and relax -- we had our dinner out there every night. Plus a gorgeous swimming pool to relax by!

Also the apartment was very clean when we arrived and well-kept.

There are so many wonderful things to see nearby that are easy to get to. We fell in love with Lake Como and wanted to stay!

Thank you again for a lovely holiday!

June 2008 - Excellent as a centre to visit the attractions around lake Como and to see Lugano and St Moritz.

The larger elevated terrace make this excellent for al fresco eating.

Travel tips

  • Some shops in local village 400 m down the hill. Better shops in Menaggio.
  • Lenno has the nearest restaurants and Villa del Balbianello which is a must see.
  • Gardens of Villa Carlotta are better than Villa Carlotta itself.
  • Varenna is more interesting than the shop-orientated Bellagio.

September 2007 - Lovely place to stay, very welcoming.

Ideal for summer. If you don't mind a small living area/combined kitchen and a few steep stairs to the bedroom, you will enjoy it.

The balcony and view is spectacular.

September 2007 - It was a great pleasure to be there and we had a very great time.

The owner was really kind and nice. She was really hospitable.

There were useful information on the office board about the weather and markets and events.

Just thank you for your appreciating organization.

Travel tips

  • The only matter to be mentioned in that the walking paths are very challenging and the main road not having a pavement in many parts seems to be dangerous, so for us having a baby not having a car was a little bit bothering. I suggest for those who have a baby like us to go there with a car so they could enjoy their trip the most.
  • Menaggio is a masterpiece to be visited, walking around besides being a very good practice is full of wonderful views and joy. The people are very nice.
