Really lovely place to stay

August 2018 - Casa Morella B was a really lovely place to stay. It's a little off the beaten path from some of the more well known towns in the area, but that was fine for our needs. The place was very clean, and looked recently renovated. The A/C works very well as did all the other appliances/fixtures that we used. :)

The pictures probably make the apartment look bigger than it actually is, but that was not really a problem for us because we were only 2 people. 1 of us slept in living room/kitchen (basically the same room), and the other slept in large bedroom. It certainly sleeps 4 people (2 in each bed), but that might get a little tight. The two levels of outdoor space was very enjoyable. The minimal interaction we had with neighbors was very pleasant.

The property managers were EXTREMELY helpful and communicative throughout the whole process.

Summer In Italy has been very communicative throughout the whole process and helped us find what we were looking for. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Travel tips

  • We were not able to park the car in the main square (about a 5-7 minute walk to the house), because there was a festival going on the nights we were there. So it was VERY difficult getting our mid-sized car all the way down to the property (barely one small car fits through some portions of the narrow streets), but in the end it worked out fine. And we could hear lot of the festival music from the patio, which was fun.
  • The town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi has some nice shops to get fruit / veggies / meat / cheese, which is what we ate most of the days we were at Casa Morella. I'm not sure if Torca has similar stores because we already had everything we needed by the time we got to the house. [Yes, indeed -- future guests please note that Torca has a small grocery store! For more shops you can get to Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi.]

Fantastic

July 2018 - It was a lovely, high spec apartment with private balconies, roof terrace (shower was an added bonus) and the view was stunning.

It is worth bearing in mind that this is set in an Italian residential area, which we enjoyed but it may not be every ones idea of fun.

Driving is not for the faint-hearted as 2 way street near to apartment but have to fold mirrors in to get 1 car through. As long as you are fit to walk up the steep slope and stairs to your apartment then it’s perfect.

All good with Summer In Italy.

Travel tips

  • Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is about 1 mile or so away with paid parking but a lovely village with a few shops and bars/restaurants.
  • Pompeii is worth a visit as is Sorrento. Plus the Amalfi Coast towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.
  • Get out early to visit these places due to heavy traffic on the road and you may end up finding no where to park and paying the eur 7 ph in rented hotel spaces.
