Very good

June 2022 - It was a great place to make day trips to the entire Amalfi Coast.

Do not miss the walk Path of the Gods.

The hostess is very friendly and helpful.

Lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas

July 2018 - Casa Lolita A was a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. It had an absolutely stunning view of the sea from the terrace. There was no living room, but because of the terrace, it really wasn’t needed, as one simply spent all the time outside. It was real bonus to have access to a saltwater pool and sundeck as well!

Rosa, the owner, is a wonderful woman, lives upstairs in the main house and was always around to check on her guests. The guest apartments are side by side as part of her “walkout basement” type set up and thus can enjoy the stunning view of the sea. Thank you, Rosa, for a lovely stay!

This is my second time booking with Summer In Italy. I found the process of reserving, booking, and paying very easy, the staff super attentive and helpful, and the entire experience very professional. I highly recommend using your company, and plan on using it once again for future travel to Italy.

Travel tips

  • Driving the Amalfi Coast is a dream for car enthusiasts, and you can expect the same thrill when leaving the main highway for Furore. But those hair raising drives are what make the view so stunning!
  • The local Restaurant Da Nicola is run by a lovely woman named Gilda and is worth checking out, as she is a fantastic and animated host.

Excellent

July 2012 - We had a wonderful time. The owners were very helpful, the property was extremely well maintained, the view was lovely and we really enjoyed the small swimming pool.

Furore was a little out of the way from main activity on the Amalfi Coast, but it was great to come home to this peaceful lovely location after some hectic driving along the coast.

The information and support provided by Summer In Italy was excellent - I will use this website again if the opportunity arises.

Fantastic

June 2012 - Casa Lolita is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It has fantastic views, the lady that owns it is clearly conscious of details, the kitchen is well equipped and so on. However the rooms are built into the rock, the main bedroom doesn't have any windows so does get a bit damp and musty.

Excellent

August 2011 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Lolita. We had a warm welcome, and soon got used to the idea that no one speaks English, which was refreshing.

The pool was blessed relief from the heat.

The location is ideal as it is above Furore. Agerola and its supermarkets and amenities are a short drive away, without having to undertake the dodgem drive that is the main Amalfi coast road. It's ideal for getting away back to Naples and Pompeii etc. Having said that, it's only a 30 min drive down to Amalfi itself.

The apartment is on the ground floor, below the Rosa's (owner) accommodation and built into the hillside and consequently the only views are from the terrace. The views are excellent - from the Cilento all the way round to Capri.

The only issue is that the noise transference through the separating wall between the main bedroom and the apartment beside. The Italian tourists got back at midnight and there was a fair bit of noise which we could hear. We got used to it and accepted it as the only downside to the week we spent there. Apart from the small issue of the noise between the apartments it was an absolutely ideal place.

Travel tips

  • As regards Casa Lolita, there are no issues. It's an easy place to stay in and very relaxing.
  • General advice: hire a small car with aircon, and prepare yourself for the dodgem drive/wacky races experience that is the Amalfi coast. You can drive through red lights, go the wrong way round roundabouts but do not park anywhere you shouldn't. They are very hot on their parking offences. [if at all possible, also try to take the roundabouts the correct way and do wait for the green light, it might save you some trouble anyway]
