Great place to stay
May 2017 - Casa Licia was a great place to stay. The view from the terrace was fantastic. The apartment was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed exploring during the day and returning home to the beautiful terrace and enjoying the view of the sea each afternoon.

Perfect in every way
August 2016 - We had the most amazing week at Casa Licia, the apartment was perfect in every way. The view from the terrace was amazing, so quiet and peaceful, the apartment was excellent, clean and well equipped, decorated traditional Italian style with modern applicances, dish washer, washing machine, W-Fi and air conditioning. The position of the apartment was at the top of 101 steps which we soon got use to, the scenery around was breathtaking. The terrace was beautiful with amazing views, beautiful out door furniture and sun loungers.
We would like to thank the owners for renting us their apartment, it was perfect in every way, we had the best ever family holiday.
Thank you for your excellent communication and service, booking was quick and emails received in a timely manner. If there had been any issues would have felt confident that they would have been sorted out. We would definetly book again with Summer In Italy and would recommend to other. Many thanks.
Travel tips
- The village of Praiano was beautiful, shops and restaurants and beaches all within walking distance, local bus ran through the village taking you to many of the famous towns along the Amalfi Coast.
- The beach at Praiano has boat trips to Capri which we did and was amazing.
- The main supermarket for the village was in walking distance from the apartment, selling all basic needs and had a wonderful wine cellar.

Excellent apartment
June 2016 - Casa Licia is an excellent apartment with stunning views over the Amalfi Coast for the fantastic south facing terrace.
I would recommend Summer In Italy to others. Very professional and no hidden charges.
Travel tips
- Would recommend a boat trip to Capri.
- The restaurant Locanda Costa Diva on the opposite side of the road (near the flagpoles) is excellent with a beautiful terrace with a sea view.
- There appear to be no large supermarkets in the area so stock up on food well on the way from the airport.

June 2014 - We loved it.
The view and cleanliness of Casa Licia were excellent.
Pasquale, Luca, Nicola and family [the owners] made our vacation the best ever. They were here within minutes of our calling for assistance or rides to the supermarket.
I will certainly recommend to anyone traveling to the Amalfi Coast that this is the most beautiful property to choose.
Summer in Italy was perfect, ease of booking, beautiful property, everything they advertised and more.
Travel tips
- We liked the day trips via car to Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento.
- We liked the boat ride to the Blue Grotto.

May 2014 - Amazing... absolutely 100% happy with our stay here. We had a fabulous stay at Casa Licia and everything was what we expected. Cleanliness, location and fantastic view. Highly recommend this property.
The property is very clean and welcoming. It was extremely well equipped with all we needed and we had magnificent views and lovely evenings on the balcony watching the world go by. We didn't want to leave.
The owners son spoke great English and gave us lots of tips as to where everything was. We can't wait to stay again.
Thank you for all your help. Any questions we had were quickly answered and your advice was top notch. Love receiving the weekly post to my Facebook page.
I would and have recommended you to others. The site is easy to follow and your instructions re payment and bookings also simple to use. Love love love you guys, thanks for an amazing holiday.

September 2013 - Casa Licia was very charming and comfortable. We enjoyed it very much.
The 100 steps to get to it were a challenge but very much worth it for the spectacular view.

September 2013 - It's a lovely complete "home" with great views. The steps to the villa from the road (109) are a killer after a meal and a drink!
The villa is exquisite with all you could need.
The small bedroom is not air-conditioned which could be a problem if its very hot and have guest who are struggling with the heat.
Shower excellent and water always hot.
Could not be better.
Travel tips
- Get food in so you don't have the steps to deal with after a meal and most restaurants are a fair walk away.

August 2013 - Wonderful apartment, clean and well equipped. Location was excellent even though there were about 100+ stairs up to the apartment. We got used to the stairs and also got in shape!
The apartment is close to the beach and to a small grocery store and served us well as a base to visit the coast.

July 2013 - Casa Licia is a very well-kept apartment with a beautiful view. Everything is in good condition and we would definitely consider to go back in the future.
The small but nice beach nearby makes the location very nice. Several restaurants is close and a food store is found up at the church.
Travel tips
- Praiano is a perfect place if you don't want to be in the middle of the tourist areas on the Amalfi coast.
- Don't bring a car, go by bus or walk instead. Boat taxi is also an option.

September 2012 - We had a wonderful time in Casa Licia. The location was just perfect for exploring Amalfi coast. The quality of the apartment was very high, everything was just as it was described on the website.
Very smooth process to make our holiday perfect. Thank you.
Travel tips
- You need to be fit enough to climb a 112 steps , but we really enjoyed it :-)
- Go to the La Gavitella beach, is just beautiful, wonderful view to Positano. It is a bit of exercise to get there, but worth it!

September 2012 - We were very pleased with our stay at Casa Licia, that had all of the comforts of a home.
The view of the sea was great. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We plan a return visit.
We found this Casa Licia through your very nice website. You have been a great help with us planning our trip to Italia.

Fantastic
July 2012 - For a family of four, Casa Licia was just the right size.
We ate out mostly but had some really lovely meals in, the kitchen and dining area were great. It was kind that they had left some basic: water, sugar, pepper, oil. Everything was clean.
Be warned it is a very steep walk up from the road -- no good for old people, and not ideal with pram.

June 2012 - Casa Licia was easily the best apartment we stayed in during our 7 weeks away. The owner was very pleasant, helpful and informative; and the apartment was fantastically equipped, totally clean, modern, large and really beautiful.
The view from the massive terrace was unbeatable and there was no need to use the air-conditioning despite some very hot weather.
The location was also excellent, close to the bus stop, large grocery store and the beach. If there has to be a negative, the 113 steps up to the apartment were a bit taxing in the heat, and could be a real problem if you were incapacitated or elderly.
The village was perfectly situated to explore the Amalfi Coast but otherwise, very quiet and non-touristy.
We enjoyed an unforgettable week there.
Summer In Italy, and in particular Luca, has been excellent. Very friendly, well organized and very helpful and polite. I really appreciated your prompt responses and informative answers. You provided an excellent service and I say "thank you very much".
Travel tips
- Walking the Path of the Gods from Praiano to Positano is REALLY challenging. The first 1000 steps are not the problem, but from there to the top of the ridge is difficult and, at times, scary. The Tourist Office will not mention this. We did it and were VERY glad we did but you have to be reasonably fit and wear proper shoes.

April 2012 - We stayed at four locations during our month in Italy and Casa Licia was the best facility of them all. It was comfortable, roomy, light, and private.
The owner was quite helpful and flexible, accommodating our off sequence schedule without issue.
Travel tips
- Very nice, comfortable apartment with a wonderful, private view.
- Shops in the small town of Praiano were nearby (half mile by road or 200 steps up to a different market) as was the bus stop for access to the rest of the Amalfi coast.
- There are 113 steps to the apartment.

April 2012 - Casa Licia provides a great base for a relaxing holiday (once you have mastered the steps) in this wonderful corner of Italy.
The apartment is bright, clean and provides everything you need for your holiday with wonderful views over the Mediterranean from the terrace.
The owner was extremely helpful and his wonderful friend Felicia could not have made us more welcome. Greeting us on our first day with homemade Limoncello and cake, she made us so very welcome. On our final evening she surprised us with a tradition three-course meal. Felicia along with all the local people could not have made us more welcome.
Praiano is an authentic village full of character. Hidden away between the tourist-resorts of Positano and Amalfi it is easily missed, which is to its benefit as it is not over-run with tourists. The people, the wonderful old streets, churches and hidden coves make this a very special destination where you can experience a true welcome and enjoy the real Italy.
Thank you Summer in Italy. You answered all my many questions thoroughly and thoughtfully which made our trip relaxed and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend you and use you again.

December 2011 - We had a wonderful time at Casa Licia. It was better than we expected from the website.
The view was amazing and it is in a great location near all of the best Amalfi towns. It is less than a 5 minute drive from Praiano.
The master bedroom is great, but the second bedroom is a little small for a second couple.
We loved watching the sunrise on the winter mornings.
Travel tips
- There are quite a few steps and you may have to park your car 5 minutes up the narrow road, so be prepared to walk.
- Check with the owners when you show up about the various switches in the house in order to make sure that the fridge, gas, etc. are turned on.

October 2011 - Nice apartment! Great location. Also easy to find the parking space on the main road.
It was said about some noise from this main road, but during our 2nd week of October it was quite and did not disturb us at all.
Very nice view, not windy terrace, we had basically all our breakfasts and dinners on it!
Our children also enjoyed playing with cats of one of the neighbors :)
Travel tips
- Nice restaurant - Restaurant Il Pirata. It is just down on the cliff overlooking the see, when you are taking your steps down to the beach near the tower. Good food and great place, moderate price level of 12-20 Euro for main dish.
- Pizzeria with fast take away service - hard to find in this area, and we needed it for our kids. So we asked the locals. It is on the upper road of Praiano. So, first you take the steps from apartment up to the church and shop Tutto per Tutti (also a nice food/wine shop), from the shop you go by the street up about 400 m, on your right you will find a simple Pizzeria (we did not recognize the name :) ). Easy way by car: in the center of Praiano first you go up, and when the road turns left, just continue 50 m down, Pizzeria on your left. After you get your pizza just continue down this street and it will take you to the main road near the apartment where you will park.
