Spacious apartment with an amazing sea view and close to the center of town
October 2022 - Very authentically Italian, spacious apartment with an amazing sea view and very large terrace close to the center of town. Old building but surprisingly quiet, we slept very well. Perfect for a short holiday stay for a family of 5.
Summer In Italy customer service was excellent from beginning to end. Nothing to improve, we were very impressed!
Travel tips
- The house is in a perfect location for the ferries to Positano, Capri, etc. As they leave in front of the house.
- Everything in Amalfi town is within walking distance from the apartment.
- The stair steps to reach the house burn those calories right off from all the delicious pasta and pizza, the steps are quite steep.

It's all about the view!
June 2022 - It's all about the view! Very good property and great location.
I doubt you can get much better and yet still in a good location to access the local area (shops, piazza, port, bars, restaurants etc). Whilst the accommodation is very good, with good facilities, clean, Wi-Fi, Tv, etc the terrace is superb. Sit with a drink and watch the ferries, super yachts, and of course the traffic on the windy coastal road all go about it's business. Yes, there is some road noise, but that isn't much (and very little at night) and is more than worth it to watch the going's on between cars, coaches and mopeds as they tried and squeeze and weave their way through.
Summer In Italy were excellent. All the arrangements ran smoothly. They help with parking arrangements and with getting some essentials provided in the property to start the break off. Top marks.
Travel tips
- There are a lot of steps so pack and travel light.
- Bring stuff from the supermarket everyday to keep the fridge stocked up (milk, beer, prosecco!). You don't want to carry a big shop.

Very good
July 2019 - The property matched the description. The welcome blast of air conditioning and the view incredible over Amalfi marina and the adjacent properties.
The bedrooms were basic, but lack of any drawer space meant suitcases were needed to be used throughout the stay. The shower was very small. Wi-Fi was efficient and fast, air conditioning was efficient.
Luca Trotta and his team were very efficient from the outset and were available prior to the holiday to answer any queries we had. This was done most promptly.
Travel tips
- We were a party of 4 adults and 1 infant attending a family wedding rather than holiday.
- There are lots of small shops (but do not expect supermarkets!) at the foot of public walkway and stairs. Equally, there are lots of restaurants around the square.
- The local ferry companies run between villages on the Amalfi Coast and to Capri which is worth a visit.
- There is a small (and naturally crowded in high season) public beach.
- Boats can be hired for self drive from numerous stalls at the marina.
- Busses run regularly to Positano and Ravello costing euro 1.30 single, with tickets being purchased at the newsagent prior to boarding the bus.

The best terrace in Amalfi
August 2018 - The best terrace in Amalfi. Great location even if there are a lot of stairs to climb. The apartment is nice and clean and we hope to return some day.
Good service all the time from Summer In Italy. Good info and really good connection.
Travel tips
- A lot of stairs to climb but location is great. Minutes away from beach, shops and restaurants.

Very good
May 2018 - Thought Casa Lazira was pretty good - the terrace is the best part. The apartment was clean, the bedrooms were nice, the shower was small. Some of the furniture is a bit old. Lots of steps to reach the apartment.

Fantastic
June 2017 - Casa Lazira was everything you could possibly want for a holiday.
My husband and I went there with our son and his wife and there were ample rooms for all the four adults. There is also a spacious terrace with spectacular views.
The caretaker was really friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed Casa Lazira so much and are already planning to go back there in the future. The fact that there are so many steps to get to the apartment won't put us off going there again.
We are so pleased we booked through Summer In Italy. You were very helpful all the time, from booking to holiday itself. We couldn't ask for a better service and would certainly book through you again. Thank you.
Travel tips
- We used Amalfi Car for transfers to and from the airport and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We had a fantastic week
April 2017 - We had a fantastic week. The location was perfect for us as we were walking each day and Amalfi was the centre for buses and boats to get to different destinations for the start of walks. The view from the balcony was amazing and we spent most of our time at Casa Lazira out there, enjoying the view...
The young guy who met us at the apartment was very friendly and was easy to contact if needed during the week of our stay.
Very impressed with Summer In Italy. Very helpful when I bombarded the staff with queries the week before we left. Always received their reply within 24 hours or less. I am researching and starting to plan our next walking holiday in Italy for 2018 and will be using Summer In Italy again. Thanks Luca and all your staff for a fab holiday!
Travel tips
- Best supermarket and green grocers are in the first small square that you come to when heading down the steps from Casa Lazira into town.
- Best walk we did was Valley of the Mills. We came across a lovely cafe at the end of the walk where we bought some home made red wine. - Was fantastic at 7 euros a bottle.
- Path of the Gods was an amazing walk with incredible views.
- If you are using local transport get to the bus stop early. The buses are usually there waiting and they fill up very quickly, cramming in as many people standing as they can!
- We were there Easter weekend and the church street procession on Good Friday was an unforgettable experience.

October 2016 - It's a perfect location and a beautifull house. A lot of stairs to go up, but in the location it is forgotten when you go outside on the terrace.
Travel tips
- Not for people who have problems with walking, like elderly of disabled people.

October 2016 - Casa Lazira is great a place to stay.
The girl that met us was very nice and accommodating. She helped us carry our luggage up many flights of steps.
The rental is very spacious and clean. Once you descend for the apartment, it opens up onto a little piazza with good restaurants, and grocery.
It is a beautiful location, just be ready to climb steps!!

Fantastic
June 2016 - The apartment was very nice and spacious, and very clean. The terrace was fantastic. It was a pleasure to wake up every morning and have coffee outside and enjoy the beautiful view.
The building was very quiet, but we were right in the middle of town with easy access to the harbour for boat cruises/ferries, and to restaurants, and the town square. The free wifi was very useful.
We missed our connection in Munich and as a result were very late arriving to the apartment, but the owner's representative was there to meet us at midnight and give us an orientation to the apartment, and help with our luggage, which we greatly appreciated.
We expect to return for another visit to Amalfi and would definitely book this apartment again.
We thought the website and the customer service were very good and have recommended the site to other people.
Travel tips
- Be prepared to climb stairs. We counted 280 steps up from the town square to the front door of the apartment. Don't bring too much luggage, you will have to drag it up all those stairs!
- We had lovely meals in the Piazza dei Dogi, and enjoyed sitting in the town square after supper to enjoy some gelato and watch the sights.
- The ferry to Positano is a lovely 25 minute ride.
- We enjoyed the beach at Atrani, and walked the stairs toward Ravello.
- There are two grocery stories in Amalfi, which was very useful for us.

May 2016 - Casa Lazira was absolutely fantastic. We stayed here for a week (though we wish it had been longer) and it was exactly as described on the website. The biggest drawcard for us was the enormous terrace and amazing views.
The property manager even came to meet us when we arrived off the bus from Salerno to give us the keys and show us the apartment.
I'd highly recommend staying here and would happily stay here again if we were to return to Amalfi.
The staff at Summer In Italy were very friendly and helpful. It made the booking process really easy and we'll be sure to come back when we next travel to Italy. Thanks for the great service.
Travel tips
- As listed on the property description, there are over 200 steps to reach the apartment - something to keep in mind if stairs are a problem! Casa Lazira is really well located if you plan to cook and save a little money as we did. At the bottom of those 200+ stairs is the smaller square (which is right next to the main square) where you'll find a supermarket and green grocer. It's also worth visiting the fish monger up the main street (a local recommended going in the morning otherwise everything would be gone by afternoon) for some deliciously fresh seafood.
- The apartment overlooks the pier where the ferries arrive/depart. Sometimes they don't run due to rough waters, so it makes it easy to see if they're running or not and plan day trips.
- One of our favourite trips was the Walk of the Gods. It's a 3-4 hour walk from Bomerano towards Positano, so you'll need good walking shoes. To get to Bomerano catch the bus from Amalfi towards Agerola... it was filled with other walkers and the driver let us know where to get off to start the walk. It's worth doing just for the views!

Fantastic
April 2016 - We very much enjoyed our holiday in Casa Lazira.
The description and photos give an accurate depiction of the apartment. It is spacious, comfortable. The generous terrace is, if anything, even better than expected and the view, even more beautiful.
I have already been recommending your service to friends. Thank you.
Travel tips
- We came to the Amalfi coast to hike the many trails - so we didn't mind the 250 steps up the apartment, with its lovely terrace and magnificent view. Elderly people need to be aware of the steps.
