Magical stay with stunning views in Praiano
July 2024 - We had a magical stay at this home in Praiano! The view was breathtaking and everything about our stay was perfect.
Check-in and finding the place was very smooth. The place has private water access, shared with other apartments at the same location. The ocean was too rough for swimming when were there, but a small swimming hole was created that was fun for our kids. It is many steps down to the water, but again, it is worth it! Praiano is either up or down, so it is just part of the experience.
Wonderful place to experience the Amalfi Coast
Travel tips
- Short walk to restaurants and grocery stores.
- The bus stop is at the top of the driveway.

Spectacular stay
April 2024 - We had a wonderful stay at Casa Isca. This location is spectacular. You are on the water with views of the Amalfi coast in both directions. There is a long set of stairs down to the water where you can jump in or enjoy crashing waves.
We had great communication with the host, Pina, before and during our arrival. I used WhatsApp and email to communicate with her. The apartment was perfect with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a washing machine with drying racks, and a full kitchen. There is a balcony to sit and enjoy the view and the coastal breeze. Such a beautiful place to sit and relax... we didn't want to leave to do sightseeing.
It goes without saying that getting to this location included driving the coast which is as equally terrifying as beautiful to drive. There is a steep driveway to enter the property. We were given a gate code to open it. There was room to park multiple cars, we had 2. There are 70 steps to the rooms. You must carry luggage down multiple flights of steps. However, the payoff is a stunning view.
I highly recommend staying here if you have a sense of adventure or just love being right on the coast.
Travel tips
- It was a ten-minute walk into town for grocery shopping and to go to dinner.
- There are multiple restaurants to choose from. We loved eating at Che Bonta.

September 2023 - This place was great, the house has such good sunrise 🌅 and the private access to the ocean was definitely a stand out being super rare.
Travel tips
- The ocean was good for kids, being a bit too rocky but still nice for adults, we jumped in every morning.

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable and the terrace was amazing
October 2022 - We loved Casa Isca. The apartment was lovely and very comfortable and the terrace was amazing. Was very tempted to spend our entire stay sitting out there! Was great that there was parking inside the gate. Bus stop just outside the gate. Would definitely stay here again. Be warned there are a lot of steps but totally worth it!
Summer In Italy was incredibly easy to work with. Everyone at Summer In Italy were fantastic. A friend recommended the company and we were not disappointed. Great communication with quick responses to our inquiries.
Travel tips
- Restaurant Open Gate is just a short walk down the road, the food is good and staff very accommodating.
- SITA bus stop just outside the gate, however you have to go to the computer/telephone cafe on the other side of the tunnel to purchase tickets.
- Would highly recommend using bus to visit Amalfi as parking is severely limited.
- Do go to Pompeii, amazing site. You can purchase guided tour tickets - highly recommend guided tour.

Really nice apartment with a gorgeous view of the sea
August 2022 - Casa Isca is a really nice apartment with a gorgeous view of the sea. The private access to the sea ensure quiet and relaxed vacation. Furniture is of an average quality, the washing machine avoid to bring much clothes on vacation.
Good experience with "Summer In Italy".
Travel tips
- Use public transport to move along the coast.

Lovely apartment!
June 2022 - Casa Isca is a beautiful apartment with a spectacular view. The apartment was comfortable for a family of four and having two bathrooms is always a plus. The view is the star though. Lovely apartment. Thank you!
Praiano is a beautiful town and highly recommended to visit. Be aware if you don't have a car that there is a ton of walking to do along the road but all in all, would stay there again in a heartbeat.
It was a pleasure using Summer In Italy and I can't wait to book our next adventure with your company.
Travel tips
- As beautiful as Praiano is, there is a lot of walking up and down stairs and walking along the road.
- Be prepared for a minimum of a 15-20 minute walk in any direction from the door step of the apartment to any location in Praiano.
- You can reach the Walk of the Gods from Praiano and walk to Positano and Agerola as well.

Gorgeous view
May 2022 - Casa Isca is a nice large apartment with a gorgeous view and lots of sun in the morning. Bedrooms very large and nice comfortable bed. Kitchen well equipped. The position wasn't that great for us as it was a ten minute walk through the tunnel and on the main road to get to the main restaurant area of Praiano. There is (tricky) swimming access from the property if you walk to the bottom of the steps.

Nice private secluded beach
September 2017 - This is an almost perfect place for physically active and fit people to spend their vacation at Praiano.
Lovely 200 steps down to a convenient and nice private secluded beach. The sea water was crystal clean and warm in the end of September.
The place is in a walking distance from grocery stores, diners (you can save a lot of money cooking at home though), and Path of Gods trail.
The place is nice and clean, the owner is lovely and caring. There is a beautiful sea view from the windows.
We could not find a tea pot but used one of numerous saucepan instead.
There is a fast and reliable WiFi router.

Fantastic
July 2017 - Casa Isca was wonderful! The view from the porch window was breathtaking. Lots of space, very relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower, which is half-way up the steps from the sea: a magnificent view while you shower after swimming (and a much-needed break when climbing all those stairs back to the apartment!).
The apartment is also well-situated. It's a short walk from the shops in Praiano and the grocery store, and the Sita bus stop is right at the front gate.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
Summer In Italy has been great! Thank you for your prompt replies and for your various messages as our trip was nearing. At no point did we feel nervous about using your service.
Travel tips
- We recommend checking out Restaurant M'Ama, which has a beautiful terrace and excellent service. We stopped there most nights to enjoy a cocktail and watch the lights of the coast come on at dusk.
- Head to Vivaro's wine bar and say hello to Gennaro. At his little bar you can find good wine, excellent food and relaxed conversation. It's perfect!

Fantastic
July 2017 - We enjoyed Casa Isca, it was cozy, with a great view, and it provided enough privacy.
Having a private beach is a great plus. The beach chairs we found in the cove at the beach were quite useful. I suggest keeping there a water mattress as well.
Relax and enjoy this beautiful country.
Travel tips
- Be ready for a 210-step staircase if you plan to walk down to the beach. If you are overweight, you may not appreciate the climb back (we are fit, so can only guess).
- If the parking lot by the condos is full, there is another one half way down to the condos, you may miss it if you don't know.
- If you're an American and need to talk to the locals, just greet them and ask in Italian if they speak English, and even if they say "just a little" you will be surprised how well they could understand you and communicate with you.
- If you like driving and know how to drive a manual transmission car, you will have a lot of thrill and fun driving on Amalfi coast.

June 2017 - Casa Isca was great and had a very "at home" feeling with a beautiful breakfast patio overlooking an unbelievable view!
It's a very spacious unit with plenty of room and many comforts.
Mrs. Pina (the property manager) is very sweet and will do everything she can to help you and make your stay comfortable.
Parking is safe and very close to your unit.
Should you need anything from them, the folks over at Summer In Italy are ALWAYS ready and available to help you with anything that you may need and only a phone call away. They're very attentive and will amaze you at how fast they get back to your emails (even when you're emailing from the States, like us).
Travel tips
- Overall, Casa Isca is very nice and a GREAT VALUE, however, there are a couple of things that visitors should be forewarned about:
- You have to go down (and back up) about 100 steps each time you come to and leave the unit.
- It's not too difficult to trip the electric breaker fuse when using a few appliances at the same time. Make sure to be shown exactly where the breaker is that you'd have to flip because it is NOT in your unit and you won't be able to find it on your own. (your electricity can go off if you have the A/C on and you try to use the washing machine).
- Parking is great and while it's a narrow and steep driveway, you can park in a gated and private parking very close to the unit.
- Be prepared to buy your own toilet paper, paper towels and soap.

July 2016 - Very well appointed, stylish and quiet, with beautiful views. The property does not have balcony or garden, but the living room French windows open wide to give an outdoor feeling.
All the other properties were occupied at the time, but for the most part other guests were not obtrusive. Being set against a cliff face gives a nice feeling of seclusion. Steps down to a pretty private cove for swimming - entrance to the sea there is not of the easiest, however. The facilities all worked well except that on the last night there was a problem with the hot water.
Travel tips
- We had a hired car and thought it might be difficult to manage without one. The villa is slightly too far from Praiano to be able to walk while carrying shopping. The Salerno to Positano coast road is quite difficult and parking is very limited: great patience is needed, but that is true everywhere in the vicinity.
- Perfectly adequate basic shopping in Praiano, otherwise Amalfi. We recommend Restaurant La Brace in Praiano, also the trattoria above the church with enormous helpings.
- Public beach provision in Praiano is very limited and we used a 'water taxi' (traghetto) to get to an adjacent beach.

June 2016 - We enjoyed our stay (2 weeks) very much.
Located at Praiano it is a more peaceful part of Amalfi Coast. We were able to walk to everything we wanted.
Great outlook from the unit.
Travel tips
- There is a little run down grocery shop up the hill (doesn't even turn on it's lights). It turned out to be much better value than the other shops for a range of items.

July 2015 - Casa Isca is a beautiful apartment, well located with an incredible view on the sea and the coast. Ms Pina [the caretaker] was very nice with my wife and I.
The only point that I would like to mention is that the mattress was not very comfortable but we were so tired at the end of the day that we were able to sleep anyway!!!
Overall, we loved our stay at Casa Isca.
I would like to thank everybody from the team of Summer in Italy. Luca and his staff were so helpful. They gave me tips and advices and they responded very quickly on each of my numerous questions! Next time that I'm going to Italy, I will rent again with Summer in Italy. Thank you for making my stay on the Costa di Amalfi unforgettable.
Travel tips
- There is a fermata (bus stop) just beside the gate.
- There are a lot of little groceries in the village (500 m from the gate) and beautiful little shops where you can buy ceramics and of course Limoncello!

Other than that the organisation was very professional.
