September 2013 - We stayed for two weeks in apartment in Casa Graziella B.
The things we liked most:
The location in this charming part of Sorrento's old town, listening to morning church bells, minutes from the main piazza, shops, restaurants and the lift to the port.
The superb quality and uniqueness of this well-renovated 17th century building (the stairs, arches, windows, terraces and balconies).
The efficient and helpful management by Daniela and Pina.
Travel tips
- If you really want to have the kitchen basics (pepper, salt, oil) from day one, bring them along
- There is some street noise at night from the next door restaurant, but it is manageable.

October 2012 - We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Graziella B, it was clean, well equipped and centrally located.
I found everyone that I dealt with, with respect to the property to be very helpful, prompt, professional and made our stay even better
I would highly recommend this property to all.
Thank you for all of your help, I was trying to book at the last minute and your promptness, assistance and professionalism made it all go so smoothly and gave me confidence in booking an unknown place from the other side of the world. Thank you for your help and honesty!
Travel tips
- To future guests: you can't go wrong with this property -- it is a peaceful haven in the centre of a bustling and lively township. Nothing is far away - enjoy!
- If you are driving, find a parking garage as it would be even more expensive and frustrating trying to park on the street, we used the garage opposite the old mill (ask the locals) and it only took 5 mins to walk to it and there were no issues.

July 2012 - We loved our stay at Casa Graziella B and would recommended it for 2-4 people.
It was centrally located and it was so easy to reach the train station, ferries, and buses to travel around the area.
Pina [the caretaker] was lovely and always made us feel welcome along with other staff.
Booking was straight forward. It made our week stay in Sorrento that much more relaxing.
Summer in Italy was fantastic. Booking was easy and straight forward would definitely go through them again for another stay in Italy.
Travel tips
- Local shops, restaurants, buses, trains and ferries all near by.
- We enjoyed heading to Positano for the day and ferrying over to Capri.

May 2011 - We enjoyed the apartment mostly because of the location. It was in the old town section, near the port and near the central plaza. It was so much fun to walk out the door and in the midst of all the action.
We thought that we could stay there for a month never get to eat at all the interesting looking outdoor restaurants that were within a 5-10 minute walk! We were in the midst of all the fun and action yet on a quiet pedestrian only street.
I'm a light sleeper and was awakened only a few times but the late night bar crowd heading home and by the annoying clunking of the restaurants wine bottles being dumped into the recycle bins also. I'd do it again though. If you want to stay in a city you have to put up with some noise.
I liked using Summer in Italy because of the easy of communication, prompt replies and ability to use a credit card.
Travel tips
- I found the 6-8 oz Italian-style percolator annoying. My husband and I drink a few mugs of coffee every morning. I had to clean out the grinds and remake a tiny pot for every cup. It was delicious though. After a few days I just went down to the main square and got a large American coffee with hot milk to go. [Oh my! That's for Italian espresso! You are not supposed to be drinking more than 4/5 oz of that in a day :-)]

October 2010 - Casa Graziella B is one of the best small apartments we have rented in Italy, France or Spain: attractively designed and furnished as well as being spotless and particularly well-equipped (apart from the lack of an iron/ironing board! and a washing machine).
The little balcony off the bedroom was delightful. The mid-week cleaning of the apartment (rather unusual I think) was a bonus.
The apartment was an excellent base in central Sorrento for exploring the town as well as Capri, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast.
Peace and quiet is average because the apartment is directly opposite a popular restaurant (with outdoor seating) which can be reasonably lively in the evening, though not too late.
We an excellent and very efficient experience with Summer In Italy, including all the documentation and 'Italy advice'. Keep up the good work - we would certainly rent through you again and recommend you to our friends.
Travel tips
- Take a travelling iron if you want to iron any clothes! (There is one or more launderettes in Sorrento if you are staying there for a while.)
- In our view, Sorrento is probably the best 'base' (ideal for a week's stay) to visit Capri, Pompeii and maybe Positano and/or Amalfi (though we followed up our Sorrento visit with three days in Amalfi which included a day visit to fantastic Ravello).
