September 2005 - Casa Gina offers a simple retreat at a fantastic price.

There is nothing "outstanding" about the villa, but for such little money it is a bargain.

There are good beaches within walking distance and all the local shopping you will need.

The level of detail and user reviews made us agree that we would use your website, even before we knew exactly where we were staying. It was the only site that we felt gave us enough confidence to rent. The personal service was also very welcome and makes the difference.

June 2003 - We did enjoy Casa Gina. The owners were absolutely wonderful, and the room was clean and nice. I was satisfied with the price, and convenience of making the reservation. The area has a few nice restaurants and the archeological ruins are a good adventure too.  The area is also more family oriented than some of the other beach choices in Southern Italy.

August 2002 - The general area in the national park was very pleasant. I'm glad now that we didn't stay in Naples (very grim) or the Amalfi (absurdly busy). The down side was that it was a bit far from some of the places we wanted to visit. The trains are convenient though, once you have realized that the next train after 08.11 wasn't for three hours!

Ascea itself was mostly very nice. The beaches were good and very clean. The locals were friendly and polite. Shopping was very easy so we had no trouble catering. When we ate out, the local food was cheap and very good.

Casa Gina was very good, clean and well-situated in pleasant grounds, and close to the beach. Not paradise, but comfortable. The owners didn't speak much English, but that was fine because I wanted to use as much Italian as possible. We always managed to communicate. Silvestro and his wife looked after us well and even provided us with (their own) complementary figs and olive oil. No problems with the facilities. One slight niggle was that I had understood there were local tennis courts and a swimming pool, not on site, but that we would be allowed to use. These turned out to be located at Le Palme, and only available if we paid for weekly membership.

April 2002 - We have recently spent a month in Italy during which time we stayed in two of Summer In Italy villas. Casa Gina in Ascea was lovely and the owners treated us like family - we had our 9 mth old baby with us and found the villa very clean and tidy. Villa dei Pini was the second villa in the town of Santa Maria which was a wonderful town with a great beach area. The view from the villa was magic. We traveled from New Zealand we were very impressed with Summer In Italy and the villas that we rented.
