Fantastic
June 2013 - Very well kept property with charming owners. Nice roomy property. Wi fi a bonus. Outside areas beautifully maintained with stunning views.
Have used Summer in Italy before and more than likely will do so again. Efficient, professional and friendly.
Travel tips
- Two nearby supermarkets, one within walking distance. The nearest being open on Sundays.
- The one restaurant within walking distance was very good. Others in town are good too but you may prefer to drive but not necessary.

September 2010 - We found Casa Bonaventura D dark inside but this may be the style of building in Tuscany.
We actually had no view from the building or from the outdoor seating, but if we stood on tiptoes we could see a view over the hedge. The pool and gardens were immaculate. We enjoyed fresh produce from the vegetable garden. But overall it was dark with no views and the owner was quite reserved.
There was tons to do with amazing sightseeing and adventuring really close by. It was a very accessible distance from Florence, Pisa and Siena. We drove to the train station and travelled from there to avoid parking problems. The local supermarket was close, walkable, and had everything we needed.
Great service, no problems.

July 2009 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Bonaventura D and would most definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
The view is stunning, very convenient location to grocery and town but still in the countryside.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely.

December 2007 - We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bonaventura D. What a wonderful complex. The owners were very helpful and their Chianti is fabulous.
The drive is not too long to Siena, Florence and surrounding areas. The town of Montaione is very charming. We wish we had planned for more time in the immediate area.
We were there in winter, so it was very cold.
Travel tips
- Spend some time in Montaione.
- Eat at the local restaurants that the owner suggests.
- Buy Chianti to send home (it arrived home before we did).
- The Pam supermarket is very close to the complex, and has just about everything you need in terms of groceries, but there are also shops in the town.
- The owner speaks pretty good English, but is harder to communicate with on the phone.

July 2007 - We had an amazing stay! We found Casa Bonaventura D to be perfect.
We loved picking fresh vegetables from the garden and cooking a quick summer supper.
The owners were helpful, friendly, and nice.
We had a beautiful view into the countryside and a lovely pool to relax by.
Overall, it was perfection!
Travel tips
- We took day trips to Pisa, San Gimignano, Florence, and Lerici. Lerici was the most beautiful Mediterranean beach town and San Gimignano was an amazing castle with lots of great shops to check out.
- The restaurant Il Caminetto in nearby Mura is a wonderful place to go for a nice dinner.

June 2005 - We had a great time at Casa Bonaventura D! It was peaceful-- with the exception of the birds that did not sleep. A nice cool reprive after day trips to Florence.
This villa is central to all of Tuscany and even Umbria.
Lots of day tripping, lying by the pool and enjoying the splendid delights of the farm!
