October 2019 - The apartment is within the villa complex with some steep access points by car and walking. As long as you are fit and able then this is no problem.
It is a well kept site, very quite (although we went in October) and all amenities provided.
Friendly welcome and any problem was resolved quickly.
Travel tips
- Beautiful area and good access to Amalfi (walking), Ravello (car or bus).

Fantastic
July 2015 - Wonderful location, with the most beautiful views.
We were happy with everything.Great service from Summer In Italy.
Travel tips
- Be prepared for walking, lots of steps in the area which we didn't mind but some might find difficult especially in the heat.

June 2010 - We loved Casa Decima, especially for the views and tranquility.
The only drawback was that we did not have anywhere to sit in the evenings as there was only one armchair downstairs. (we would have sat outside in the evenings but the mosquitoes liked us too much).

June 2009 - We really had a wonderful holiday in Casa Decima. The view was something we will always remember.
The house was in good position with sun shining to the small roof terrace from morning till evening, we had breakfast there every day and also sat there many evenings admiring the view and relaxing.
Pool was also good and the steps down to Atrani were not really a problem for us.
Overall we have lovely memories of our stay here and Summer In Italy handled everything very well and also _Mr Nicola, the caretaker of the place, was very friendly.
Travel tips
- Nearest shop is Spar which is along the road to Ravello. It is not very far but the road is very narrow and there is a lot of traffic. After Spar there is a nice smaller shop from where we fetched fresh bread many mornings and the owner was also very friendly.
- Ravello is beautiful town and there are many other nice towns near like Amalfi, Positano, Praiano and Sorrento to where we went by boat from Amalfi harbour.

June 2009 - We had an excellent break in Ravello and Casa Decima was a lovely place to stay. The grounds in the valley are beautiful and very peaceful.
No problems for your organisation. Very quick and efficient. Paperwork and information covered everything we needed to know.
Travel tips
- The roads in and around Ravello (and in the villa particularly) are narrow. A large car is definitely a problem - we were lucky because ours was a relatively small one.

July 2007 - We really enjoyed our holiday staying at Casa Decima. It was so relaxing, the views across the valley are beautiful and the apartment was very comfortable.
The gardens and pool area were also beautiful and it was nice being within walking distance of Atrani.
Thank you - the description of the property and instructions were all very clear and helpful. I'd definitely recommend booking through Summer in Italy to friends!
Travel tips
- The property is on the hillside so if you don't like walking up and down the hill you might not like the location. It is only 10 minutes walk to Atrani but walking back up hill takes longer! But the location of Casa Decima is worth it.
- You can also walk up from Atrani across to Amalfi, or up to Ravello so you don't need a car.

Travel tips
- Atrani, the local village is delightful and has several excellent cafes/restaurants as well as fabulous take away pizzas. Be prepared for plenty of steps down to the village though. Definitely not for the old or disabled!
- Amalfi is a quick walk along the coast road or over the hill and the boat trip from there to gorgeous (but much busier) Positano is very worthwhile.

June 2007 - Utterly gorgeous, retreated there for a week of my two on the Amalfi Coast, couldn't have asked for more.
Beautiful views, well kept facility, Casa Decima is the top-most villa, with - in my opinion - the most privacy and one of the best views.
You are perched atop of the cliff, and the closest town/beach, Atrani, is a beautiful but grueling 483 steps down, not for the faint of heart (I counted every step). This vacation was my leave from the US Army and still got me tired. Atrani is a quick place to get a bite or a few odds and ends, however if you don't have a car you will have to walk these steps for meals and drinks every time as it is one of the closest places [or take the bus]. Amalfi is bigger and maybe a kilometer from Atrani.
My girlfriend and I are in our 20s, we would go out and hit the beach before noon, eat a hearty lunch then grab food to cook up and spend the evenings snacking and drinking wine to a beautiful sunset. A perfect place for a quiet get-away, but for those looking for night life and the hub of a busier spot, stay in Amalfi.
We would definitely go back to Casa Decima.
Travel tips
- My advice, buy foods and wine in Amalfi so you can get buy - if you like to cook.
- Figure out the bus schedule, there are buses that run the Ravello - Atrani - Amalfi route, I wish I was quicker to discover this.
- A tough place to drive, but if you preplan, a car might not be a bad idea.

April 2007 - Casa Decima is a great place to stay, and is very peaceful.
It's the perfect size for 2 people to share, and has everything you need for a great self-catered holiday.
All the facilities are excellent - the only thing it didn't have was an oven, but you can make perfectly good meals on the hob.
Very helpful staff, very nice price! Thank you!
Travel tips
- The only thing that might limit you in choosing Casa Decima is that it is on the side of a cliff, so there are lots of steps to tackle if you want to go out on foot. But there is a decent bus service to Atrani, Amalfi and Ravello, so it's not impossible to get around if you don't like walking and haven't got a car.

August 2005 - We really enjoyed Casa Decima, really good location although the hills wouldn't suit everyone. The apartment was very clean and the caretaker very helpful, although he doesn't speak English. Overall it was good value for money and we have no hesitation in recommending the villa.
Atrani was very pleasant and was a 10 minute walk, a further 10 minutes to Amalfi with all sorts of shops/restaurants. A small supermarket was 5 minutes drive up towards Ravello.
You can walk to Atrani in 10 minutes and is faster than using the car. You can walk to Ravello but is nearer 45 minutes up a very steep hill. Ravello was very pretty, but a bit pricey.
I would have no hesitation in booking with Summer In Italy again.

July 2005 - We really loved it here. It is the perfect place for getting away from it all and having the ultimate peace and quiet.
The villa is simple and lovely. It had the most amazing peaceful view and was spotlessly clean.
We had a wondeful time - great for couples seeking relaxation.
The only thing we didn't enjoy was the driving on the Amalfi coast which is stressful but that had its upside as it forced us to stay within walking distance of the villa and explore the grounds and the local towns of Atrani and Amalfi ultimately making it a very relaxing place.
The walk to Atrani is all downhill and pleasantly shady and cool - walking back up was very hard and not something for the very young or old. Having said that you can get the bus so it's not a problem .
I just want to say thanks - you made the holiday booing process very easy and we got just what we were looking for - I would not hesitate to recommend you.
