June 2012 - I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I stayed for a week with my boyfriend and it was the best holiday we've both had.

The apartment was perfectly located, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills from our two balconies. The pool was equally spectacular, with an amazing view.

The place was very friendly and we especially enjoyed meeting the owners, who cooked us a traditional Tuscan meal.

Definitely planning a return visit.

December 2009 - The villa and location were quite nice and quiet, but the caretakers/owners were quite inaccessible and unhelpful.

San Gimignano is beautiful!

Summer in Italy customer service is amazing. Thanks very much for the support. However, I think it is important to include evaluation on owners before you recommend a site.

Travel tips

  • While walking to San Gimignano is possible, it's not close (requires about 45 min of walking and can only do this in daylight). Need a car. Getting parking in/outside San Gimignano is not very easy. We could not figure out the park and ride system (never saw the bus/instructions despite 4-5 attempts). Perhaps it was not active in December when we visited.
