Great apartment overlooking the piazza

May 2024 - It's a great apartment and within the building it's very quiet. You do overlook the Piazza so you hear street noise. It’s a nice space - dual aspect - plenty of windows and good air conditioning.

September 2023 - My husband and I had so much fun in Naples and this apartment was perfect! We had an easy time connecting with our host and the apartment was charming, clean, comfortable and the neighborhood in the historic section was great!

Naples has the most friendly lively people and delicious food! We will remember this place with fond memories. There is a few balconies overlooking the square. There is lots of activity and if you would like it more quiet you can shut the shutters! We slept great!

Fun, convenient and comfortable!

April 2023 - This apartment was fun, convenient and comfortable. The location was close to the main tourism area and the National Archeological Museum of Naples, but also to Via Toledo and nice areas with fewer tourists. It's overlooking a piazza with lots of action, so the people watching is great, and it can be noisy.

Valeria, the host, was the best! She communicated well, and gave very clear arrival instructions. She was also very helpful with advice on local transportation and restaurants.

I very much appreciate the timely and friendly communications I had with Summer In Italy, and their flexibility changing my original 2020 plans to 2023.

April 2023 - This is a wonderful place to stay. Piazza Dante is in the middle of everything you want in Naples. Fine restaurants, bars, the pizza street and more. It is, of course, going to be a bit noisy since there is activity in the area late into the night but it never disturbed my sleep.

The apartment was comfortable and on the 3rd floor as we count floors in America but there is a small elevator that works well.

Summer In Italy could not be better. Great communication and I had a wonderful 3 week stay. I am looking forward to another extended stay next year.

The best restaurant in Naples (recommended by host) the Ristorante Pizzeria Leon d'Oro is on the piazza. Don’t miss the The Spanish Quarter.

June 2022 - This apartment in Piazza Dante is the perfect place to be to visit Naples. Walking distance to great restaurants, steps from the Dante Metro and a taxi stand.

Our two week stay was comfortable. We felt very safe. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a great stay in Naples.

The communication with the host was easy and effective.

Bright and elegant apartment

May 2022 - We spent six beautiful days in it. It’s very clean and new.

It is a little bit noisy but everywhere in Naples might be the same.

We appreciated the attentions of the owner. She is very kind and helpful and also left some sweets for the breakfast.

The location was perfect!

February 2022 - It was right there in the square so you had restaurants, markets, little cafes as well as the buses, metro station and taxis. The trains were about a 20-30 minute walk, but that was perfect for us. We were able to explore along the way!

We definitely recommend and the landlord was so friendly! Had really set us up well! Looking forward to going back.

November 2021 - The host was super polite and responsive when we were arriving in Naples and was waiting to meet us outside when we reached the property.

Inside it was huge, clean and very spacious and overlooks Piazza Dante which is right in the hub of the city with so many great bars and restaurants around in the evening, plus shops in the daytime. You can open the balcony doors to enjoy the hustle and bustle outside in the square or close them to keep out the noise for some peace and quiet.

Great value for money, I would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous apartment, central to everything that makes Naples unique and exciting

September 2021 - Metro stop just outside the building. Via Toledo, central main shopping area outside door steps.

Apartment in palatial 18th Century building, very safe and secure. The apartment has fully outfitted kitchen, very clean rooms and surprisingly quite at night despite robust Naples nightlife just outside in Piazza Dante.

This is a wonderful vacation apartment. I can't think of anything to make it more perfect. A wonderful heart of the city base camp.

February 2020 - Very nice, clean, spacious apartment in excellent location on the edge of Centro Storico, at the heart of Naples. The dual-aspect makes it nice and bright - and there are shutters to control the amount of sunshine in summer. Note - you are on a busy central square so there's the noise and bustle you'd expect, but with shutters closed it's fine at night. Underground is a three minute walk, archaeological museum ten minutes.

Summer In Italy were very friendly and helpful with my booking - I would highly recommend!

October 2019 - Optimal situation. Although the exteriors are deceiving, the interior is completely renovated and well equipped for 4 people.

The apartment is very clean and spacious. It is within walking distance to all major touristic objectives and to grocery stores. We loved it.

Our arrival was much earlier than the posted check-in time, and we were accommodated with no delay. This was very much appreciated.

All in all, we would go back to this place.

Spacious apartment in central location, it has everything you need!

June 2019 - The owner (listed as property manager/owner, Valeria) was very helpful for check-in and when we had questions (about washing machine and iron adapter).

The living room and bedroom are VERY large rooms, especially for such a good location. Everything we needed was in the apartment; including maps and travel books, toiletries and blow dryer. Valeria even left us croissants with Nutella/jam, water and limoncello! It was very clean and bright; better than the pictures show.

We only used the metro the last day; wish we had sooner since the station is literally outside the building.

Echoing other comments, the Piazza Dante is very lively; especially on weekend nights with sports activities and visitors until early morning. If you go to bed early, bring ear plugs!

This is the perfect base for spending time in Naples

May 2019 - This is the perfect base for spending time in Naples. In a wonderful area for just walking the streets, soaking up the feel of the historic area, and able to get to many of the main sites on foot.

The Metro Station Dante is right there for getting to the trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum, or down to the port for ferries to Sorrento, Capri, and Ischia. Being able to look out on the piazza made us feel a part of things even when we were just spending a quiet morning or evening in the apartment.

In our 9 days here, we had only scratched the surface on all the places to eat, whether a tasty snack or full meal. It is hard to imagine a better place to stay while exploring Naples and the surrounding area.

Summer In Italy was very professional and helpful in all preliminary arrangements. Everything went to plan, making for a smooth, trouble-free start to our Italy trip.

April 2019 - We had a lovely time at the apartment. It was exceptionally clean and we had everything we needed in the rooms and bathrooms.

It's a very lively area but we never heard street noise and slept quite good as it's quiet at night.

The location is strategic to reach the historical area in Naples on foot, and the apartment is very close to the Piazza Dante Metro Station which is ideal to reach all the important landmarks in the city (main train station, Vomero area, Mergellina area, etc).

Everything was great. Recommended to everyone, especially families with young or older children.

The landlady was very kind and welcoming.

Spring Break in Naples

April 2019 - Appartamento Re Carlo is an excellent place to spend a few or more days in Naples. We loved the location on the Dante piazza which is a hub of activity on weekends till the wee hours of the morning, which may be a turn off for an early riser.

The facilities are top notch and very functional. Additionally if arriving from out of town on a train the piazza is located on the metro (subway) line making getting there a snap for only 1.10 euro and very quickly.

We had a great week

October 2018 - We had a great week at Appartamento Re Carlo. It is very spacious, with a very high and characteristic ceiling. The view on the square, surrounded by beautiful buildings, is superb.

The apartment is very comfortable, with two bathrooms and the kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking. It is also very well located, easy accessible to all the sights to see in Naples such as the archaeological museum, churches, restaurants on the Tribunal street, Vomero district, monumental district, railway station to go to the archaeological sites and - last but not least - the port to go to the islands. Dante metro station is located few meters away.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

Summer In Italy team gave us good advice and responded to our requests very quickly.

September 2018 - We loved our stay at Appartamento Re Carlo. The apartment is simply magnificent, of an impeccable cleanliness.

We appreciated the air conditioning because during our stay, the temperature remained around 30°C. Thanks to Valeria [the owner] for her kindness and availability.

We recommend strongly this apartment if you want to live a memorable stay in Napoli. It's location, on Piazza Dante, is great, just a few steps from the subway which leads directly to the train station. And very close to the historic center. You can visit on foot the main sites of interest. Also, the Hop on Hop off bus stop is just down the apartment.

Summer in Italy provides a very good and personalized service. They do their best to facilitate the communications with the owners.

July 2018 - Such an amazing apartment in a great central location! Our family had such a great experience in Naples. The balcony overlooking Piazza Dante is a huge plus to this apartment. You wake up to the sounds and smells of Naples. You experience the youth at play which is the heart of Naples. We cannot wait to return to Naples and stay in this apartment again.
