August 2011 - The apartment is very well located. However the main issues were there is just one window facing an other apartment and there was a very bad smell of humidity; furthermore in one hand was amazing being close to the Duomo but the bells were noisy since 7am... especially on ferragosto!

Other then that the apartment is spacious and very well furnished.

The correspondence was very friendly since the beginning. We found the website very clear and helpful.

Travel tips

  • Try La Pizzeria Il Teatro... not too expensive and delicious!!!

July 2010 - We did enjoy Appartamento Marilena B and were very happy with the location. Air conditioning was very temperamental. Also not enough dishes for cereal at breakfast time.

The apartment was was well situated.

We had a lovely holiday, we found you on line and booked through the web.

Travel tips

  • We found going off the main square cheaper than eating in the square and equally as nice.
  • We hired a boat and went to Positano. This was good the boat we had for 4 adults and 3 children was excellent.

October 2008 - This was quite a good base for our stay at Amalfi. It is well located in regard to the town and the bus services.

It is newly refurbished and very clean. There is no view, the living area is small the seating isn't really comfortable, it is just a couch that is really designed to lie on rather than sit on. It lacks any small tables for glasses etc. The only TV channels in English are CNN or BBC news.

We had a good time.

Travel tips

  • There is a great shortcut to the old town through the back of the Cathedral. Look for the sign on the wall across to the right, as you exit the apartment.
  • Go to Ravello.
  • If you are going to Paestum catch the 9 o'clock bus from Amalfi to Salerno in order to make the right train contacts.
  • Go to Capri by ferry from Amalfi. It is dearer and longer if you bus to Sorrento and ferry from there.
  • Definitely skip the Emerald Grotto... Italian for rip off!
