We absolutely loved it, location was perfect!
September 2024 - Where to begin without writing a book? We absolutely loved Appartamento Mariele! Such a nice surprise to have a bottle of sparking Prosecco waiting for us, as well as toast and jam for breakfast.
Location was perfect, just outside the noisy old town Bellagio, (just past the south end of Hotel Belvedere's parking lot.) It was an easy walk into town, and a comparable walk in the opposite direction to the OK Sigma grocery store.
Our family consisted of 5 adults and a 4-month old. We had plenty of space with 4 bedrooms. Our daughter, baby, and SIL used the first floor master bedroom and beautiful updated bathroom with washing machine. The apartment provided a pack-and-play crib with extra sheets. We took the upstairs with it's own bathroom and shower, and our adult son had his choice of either upstairs or main floor. Both bathrooms have working hair dryers.
The kitchen is modern enough for US standards, and very nice for an Italian kitchen. Everything works well, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the dishwasher. The Nespresso machine takes pods, and there were enough to start us off. Loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning! Also perfect for drying wet clothes on the rail (the drying rack helped, too).
The few questions I had were promptly addressed by Andrea [the property manager] and his wife using WhatsApp. Thank you, thank you, Mille Grazie! It was better than expected, and we have rented throughout the US and EU.

Travel tips
- Cute little fruit market across the street and a block or two south. They also carry yogurt and coffee pods, just in case.
- Easy walk to the water taxi station, inexpensive way to travel across the lake.
- Best TOUR: Bellagio Cook with a View + Villa Melzi. Found this through Viator. It was easy to meet our driver, and we were greeted at the restaurant with prosecco and a salumi tray. Chef Mas was so much fun, and the meal we made was amazing and included wines to match the entree: gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce, linguini with ragù, and tiramisu. I cook Italian at home, and even I learned some great tips. Recipes were included.
- Best restaurants: Hotel Belvedere is wonderful, had to wait to get a reservation, and glad we dressed appropriately. So many nice places off Via Valassina, but walk toward the church near the top, turn right and you'll see the red tablecloths at Torre del Gusto. We don't usually eat at the same place twice, but this was amazing, so we had dinner there twice. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. Good wine selection and reasonable prices.

Travel tips
- We didn't have a car and we were in Bellagio for a long weekend.
- We didn't use the local transport, but we did use the restaurant across the road, the food was good all eaten whilst overlooking the lake on their terrace.
- We also used the supermarket for breakfast supplies.

Perfect location
June 2024 - We loved staying here. The location was perfect. A little bit away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bellagio, but an easy 10 minute walk to get there. It is an easy walk to a nice café and bakery down the street, and nearby grocery and other services, restaurants are all very close.
The house was well decorated and the owners were super friendly and nice. They provided great hospitality and we’re very responsive the day of our arrival, all throughout our stay, and even on our departure day.
The views of the lake are amazing!
Highly recommend! Working with Summer in Italy was amazing. Luca and the entire team were very responsive, thorough with all their explanations, and answered all of our questions. We actually booked two different apartments/cities with them and would highly recommend using them for anyone traveling to Italy. All of their suggestions and recommendations were spot on and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with their services!
