Spectacular Amalfi stay
June 2019 - We loved our stay here. The location is perfect and one can choose to eat in or out. The local folks we met all seemed so happy and were quick to ensure our wonderful experience.
The whole process of renting this apartment was smooth and efficient from start to finish.
Anna, our contact, was a darling and so, so helpful.
We recommend this apartment without without hesitation.

May 2019 - We enjoyed the apartment very much and would highly recommend it for anyone that wants a place to stay on the Amalfi Coast.
The apartment is very well maintained, well stocked, charming on the inside, and is close to all the amenities that brings one to the Amalfi Coast.
Communication with the property manager is very good. Key aspects for us were its great location in town, and its peace and quiet.
Travel tips
- The apartment is located just off the main street that runs through the town of Amalfi.
- Shops, restaurants, and city attractions are all just steps away. And it's only a 5 minute walk to the ferry and bus stops that can take you anywhere along the Amalfi Coast.

September 2014 - Great location for in town living. We did enjoy our stay at Apartment Stefania.
The property manager Michele did a good job making us feel right at home.
Summer In Italy did a great job. We felt very comfortable booking with Luca and would book with you again.
Travel tips
- Car is not needed. We felt very safe walking around at night.
- Pasticceria Pansa, best shop in Amalfi for first class pastries, chocolate and espresso.

May 2014 - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apartment Stefania.
Had a very busy two weeks as our daughter was getting married in Ravello. This was somewhere we could relax at the end of the day. The apartment was spotless and had every amenity required. It was very central in Amalfi for shops restaurants and bars. The beach was a two minute walk.
Excellent service both booking with Summer in Italy and also the lovely Michele [the caretaker] was very helpful once we got there.
Travel tips
- Don't take as many holiday clothes as usual. Facilities are as good as home for laundering clothes.
- Use the buses to get about especially going to Ravello as the taxis can be expensive.
- Go to Atrani, short walk through the tunnel.
- The bars and restaurants are worth a visit.

October 2011 - We did enjoy Apartment Stefania. However, three years ago we stayed in Amalfi and had a smaller apartment with many more steps to reach it. Apartment Stefania is quite spacious and well located, but unfortunately did not have the magnificent view of the previous apartment. We always knew this, but could not help missing that view.
The apartment is well stocked with crockery, glasses and utensils. It was good to have the use of a washing machine and iron.
The caretaker is an extremely pleasant woman. Her son initially took us to the apartment and he, also, is very nice.
Can't speak too highly of Summer in Italy. Luca and the team at all times were friendly and efficient. The website is easy to use and most informative. Thanks, Summer in Italy!
Travel tips
- You will find the apartment is close to the main street of Amalfi and therefore to alimentari.
- The duomo is well worth visiting.
- One day we walked right up the street (away from the sea) and into the Valle delle Ferriere - about 2 1/2 hours return. Really enjoyable (especially to get away from the crowds).

August 2008 - We really enjoyed this apartment's convenience to the main street of Amalfi, and it's short distance from everything, as well as it's fairly quiet surroundings.
Italians are noisy. This apartment had that as a reality, and because most people in Amalfi live in apartments, there were lots of Italians to be noisy in the evenings.
It does not have air conditioning, which would have been welcome, as the late-July and August weather is very hot. The second bedroom should only be used for a single person, the pullout bed is not very practical.
The kitchen is very small, but has everything you would need.
It was a great holiday, we liked the apartment, and we would use you again.
Travel tips
- Don't go to the Emerald Grotto, it is a rip-off and a waste of money.
- The public beach in Amalfi has two parts, the sandy part to the right, and the rocky part to the left. The rocky part is better for swimming, and the sandy for sunbathing.

October 2004 - It's a lovely apartment in a great central location. It is well decorated, the finish is high quality and it was spotlessly clean. The second bedroom is fine for a child but not very comfortable for an adult (and definitely too small for two adults).
The kitchen is fine if you intend to eat out for your main meal and only need to use it for making breakfast, coffee, etc. It is a very narrow gallery design and too small to make a substantial meal easily.
Overall, a great apartment for the price, a great location and fine views of the roof tops, hills and dome of Amalfi.

October 2003 - I'm pleased to say that we had a wonderful trip and I will definitely be recommending 'Summer in Italy' to anyone who is planning to travel to Italy.
Apartment Stefania is a stylish and extremely well-kept apartment in an ideal location. It is an airy, comfortable place to stay and provides everything you may need for a self-catering holiday in Amalfi.
Only a minute's walk from the central square and the beach, we felt we were right at the heart of Amalfi which made staying in the town or going on day-trips elsewhere very easy. Our Italian neighbours and the apartment owners were very friendly and welcoming, as were local traders and bar/cafe/restaurant staff.
At such a reasonable price, Apartment Stefania is strongly recommended.
Thanks again to everyone at Summer in Italy for all your help.

September 2003 - We highly recommend Summer In Italy. We received helpful, friendly advice for our entire trip.
Apartment Stefania was extremely comfortable and nice, well-situated just near the famous Duomo in the town of Amalfi. There were 30 or more steps up to Apartment Stefania, which was a bit difficult with a small toddler, stroller, etc., but on the Amalfi Coast, every place seems to have at least that many steps, if not many, many more.
We were located near the bus stop and many shops and restaurants, which made the location convenient. If we didn't have any restrictions (toddler, stroller, etc.), we would have stayed in Positano with a seaside view, but for us, Apartment Stefania was perfect.

August 2003 - We returned home 12 hours ago. We had a fabulous week at Appartamento Giulietta in Amalfi!!
Perfect location close shops, square and beach. The real apartment is MUCH better than the on-line photos.
We befriended Rosetta and her granddaughter who live on the first floor. Also we we're happy to see the apartment had a table and several espresso makers!!!
We look forward to staying at Apartment Stefania again soon whether we are shooting a television segment or just for leisure.
Amalfi is paradiso!!

July 2003 - Our trip was great and the apartment was lovely and very authentic, just what we wanted.
The only point I would make about Amalfi in general, is that we had hired a car although the website does state that there is no parking. It did cost £70 to park the car in a small garage in Amalfi for one week. Parking in general in high season is very difficult to find and expensive, due to parking restrictions in Amalfi and you don't really need a car as local transport was very good. Apart from that we had a great time, but car parking was an expense we could have done without.
We will definitely be using your company again on our next trip to Italy.

May 2003 - Our trip to Italy was absolutely wonderful. Venice, Florence, Rome and then the Amalfi coast. Our apartment, Apartment Stefania in Amalfi, was very clean and well decorated and quite well located in Amalfi. It was situated steps from two indoor markets where we were able to purchase fresh bread, cheese, milk, Italian cold cuts & wine at very reasonable prices. Wine is so cheap at the market!
As for the apartment the shower was great and we had no surprises at all; in fact we felt very much at home. The two flights of stairs up to the apartment were no real problem and the neighbors in the flat below, "Zia Rosetta", was very kind and helpful, she gave us huge lemons on a few occasions and some good places to eat at reasonable prices. We in turn left her a bottle of wine and a few other household items that we had no room in our luggage for. I speak Italian so we were able to communicate quite nicely.
The caretakers were very helpful and returned our $100 Euro security deposit quite promptly. The only bad experiences were at the chocolate & pasty shop beside the church, we paid $24 Euro for 3 cappuccino & 3 pastries, quite ridiculous. Everywhere else we paid reasonable money for what we purchased. The other bad experience was Rosario at the Gran Caffe just facing the beach, who seemed so nice offering us "dolces" which we paid dearly for but who also charged us $36 Euro for two bottles of wine that were $3 Euro at the market. Everywhere else in Amalfi we went to and ate at the wine was reasonably priced.
Although it does not have a beautiful view over the bay or anything close to that I would definitely recommend Apartamento Giulietta for its location, only minutes from the boats that can take you to the other islands and cities like Capri, or Positano, its cleanliness and its great working facilities...shower, toilet, mini washing machine, stove etc...

May 2003 - We stayed in Apartment Stefania in Amalfi for a week recently and just wanted you to know how much we loved the apartment.
The pictures on the Internet are great but the apartment is even prettier than the pictures show. We particularly liked the balconies that were off each room. We had so much fun shopping for cheeses, proscuitto, breads, vegetables etc. in the markets and being able to cook with these wonderful local foods.
We definitely will tell our friends about the "great place" to stay in Amalfi.

July 2002 - We enjoyed our visit to Amalfi and Apartment Stefania was nicer than we expected. After traveling for ten days in hotels and older apartments throughout Rome and Tuscany we enjoyed having a newly restored apartment with lots of windows and space. All the neighbors were friendly and we picked fresh basil for a meal one night from the pots on the staircase.
Next time we return we'll bring our husbands and boyfriends!

June 2002 - We have just returned home after a wonderful three weeks in Italy! We loved Amalfi and Apartment Stefania. It is just lovely, and because we prefer to be visitors and not "tourists" we very much liked being in a real neighborhood, complete with a vegetable garden that we envied (we garden at home) and the rooster!
We would happily recommend your services to anyone and next time we are in Italy, will certainly use Summer in Italy again! And thank you so very much!

May 2002 - Everything went well at the apartment. It was challenge to meet up with Daniela [the caretaker of Apartment Stefania] - but we managed it and she also helped with the car. She was very friendly and we felt very welcome when we arrived.
Apartment Stefania was great. The right size, clean and equipped with all that we needed. The location really suited us. We had to put away all of the breakables as our children are still at an age where things are easily broken. We enjoyed our stay.
The Amalfi coast is as spectacular as they say. We travelled out to Paestum and to Pompeii and enjoyed both those visits, possibly Pompeii the most. The children were very well received and the people very friendly.
Unfortunately, Apartment Stefania can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
