Winery Tenuta San Vito

Head for the hills west of Florence and find the winery of San Vito. This organic farm produces top quality Chianti vintages bearing the DOCG designation. Taste the Colli Fiorentini Chianti, which blends Sangiovese and Cannaiolo, or the San Vito Chianti DOCG, which is made from 100% Tuscan Sangiovese grapes. They also make an excellent Vin Santo, a Tuscan white (Chardonnay) and organic cold-pressed olive oil.

Occupying gentle hills and valleys, the farm sprawls out and includes several centuries-old farmhouses and a country restaurant that serves typical Tuscan fare. The tasting room is open daily from 9:00 am til 6:30 pm. Closed Sunday. You can even reserve your tasting and winery tour online on their website!
