Winery Marisa Cuomo

The folks at Marisa Cuomo winery in Furore produce what they call "vini estremi" from "heroic grapes" that grow in impossible geography. That alone makes the winery worth visiting -to see the steep terraces and difficult work in tending them. But the aging cellar that is literally carved into the rock above the Amalfi Coast really makes it special. You can schedule a tasting (degustazione) to sample these "extreme wines" that are produced from intriguing heritage grapes like Biancolella, Ginestrella, Fenile and Piedirosso -grapes only found in this small swatch of territory. It will definitely be a special experience during your stay on the Amalfi Coast!
