A no-nonsense place where there is always a line outside waiting for the down-home food that is served within. This busy restaurant is crammed with tables that fill with boisterous Romans and stray tourists alike, who enjoy the honest Roman food. A sign proclaims Sergio to be the "prince of the amatriciana" which tells you what to order - the spaghetti all'amatriciana, a regional specialty of tomato sauce flavored with bacon. If you don't want red sauce, go for the carbonara, another Roman classic.
