Trapani Tramway

Get to the pretty town of Erice up on the mountain in just 10 minutes on the tramway!. From the edge of Trapani, the cable cars whisk you from 131 feet (40 meters) to 2,306 feet (703 meters) above sea level while you take in the gorgeous scenery on the way. The cars hold 8 passengers and do a continuous loop, arriving at the edge of Erice in 10 minutes.

Once you're there, wander the town, named one of the borghi piu' belli d'Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy). There are ancient castles with stunning panoramas over the landscapes to the sea, towers set on rocky pinnacles in the rugged geography, and perfectly-kept cobbled lanes with cafes, restaurants and shops tucked in. It is something to see, and the views are really unparalleled, making it worth the trip.

The tramway runs from 8:30 AM til 10:00 PM, so you can go up for sunset drinks or dinner, too.
