Torchiara Festival and Fun

The annual event is called "Di Portone in Portone," meaning from door to door and takes you into the courtyards and alleyways of the old town of Torchiara with food and fun. The festival plays out throughout the old town in doorways, alleys, and piazzas, with exhibits in the "portone" (iterally, "big door") that lead onto the internal courtyards of the old palazzi. There is folk music and traditional dances, along with modern music and dance, and plenty of food and fun. The annual party takes place in mid-August. Check their page for exact dates each year.
