The Coastal Trail - From Santa Maria to San Marco

Enjoy a stroll, splash in the water, and then reward yourself with a gelato at the end! This is an easy trail for those who love the sea and want to walk along it with a nice destination on the other side.

Start at Santa Maria di Castellabate's castle and walk along the wharf. Slip off your sandals and walk in the sand or the water's edge when you reach the beach. You'll follow the curve of the bay until you reach the rocky face. To the left is a trail that leads up to San Marco's nature trail. Follow that up and along the top of the cliff. It comes out above the port of San Marco, where you can enjoy a cold drink, a gelato, and the pretty sight of the colorful boats bobbing in the blue water. Follow the same trail in reverse to return to Santa Maria.
