Stazzo Beach

The black sand beach of Stazzo is a nice little arch of beach along a small cove at Stazzo, near Acireale. There are several small coves along this stretch of coast. Stazzo is protected from the wind by the breakwall of the little fishing port. There are rocky volcanic reefs where you can perch and dive in, and small tracts of beach, like this one. You'll likely be among the fishing boats that have been pulled up onto the shore. The village offers services and refreshments and a pretty backdrop to the beach. It is a free beach, so bring an umbrella and towels to stretch out on!
