Spiaggia Grande (the "large beach") is the main beach of Positano, as well as the center for many of the activities of the village.

As you will see, Positano itself is a stunning work of pure Italian art, and the bay that guards Spiaggia Grande as well as Fornillo Beach so jealously is just magic!

The spell of the place is well known since ancient ages... When the Romans arrived they decided to build a residence there (unfortunately now buried by the gardens and the Church of St Maria Assunta). From Spiaggia Grande you'll have a lovely view of the beautiful majolica tiles that colour the dome.

The coastal panorama is "stippled" by the imposing Saracen sighting-towers, while from the splendid sea in front of it emerge the suggestive Li Galli islands.

Rent a holiday home in Positano and travel like a local.
