San Francesco Beach Forio

Located just north of the town of Forio d'Ischia, the beach of San Francesco has sand and water sports. With about 300 meters of sandy beach, there are plenty of concessions that offer umbrellas and sun beds along with restaurants and snack bars. The end below the promontory is popular with those who like swimming, snorkeling and water sports. The water is clear and some areas deepens gradually while others the water level drops off almost immediately. Its western exposure makes it better for afternoon beach-going, and stays sunny right until sunset. Stay around for drinks as the sun goes down, or dinner at one of the many seafront restaurants.
