Housed in a former stall that held donkeys, the trendy-rustic restaurant L'Asinello takes Chianti cuisine to a new level. The chef uses seasonal, local ingredients then turns ramps them up into upscale dishes. Some of the recent offerings, for example, were quail in Campari, and carmelized pork ribs with cucurum. Pretty presentation, a warm and welcoming interior that feels like dining at a friend's house, and lovely outdoor terrace in the midst of the Chianti hills - it's easy to see why it's Michelin-rated.

You can choose from a la carte menu or one of the fixed price tasting menus (5 courses for €55, or 4 courses for €45).

Open for dinner; on Sundays open for lunch and dinner. Closed Monday. Reservations are highly recommended.
