Ristorante Il Caminetto

A homey restaurant in a stone building with fantastic food. Located in the hamlet of Gittana di Perledo, it's on the east shore of Lake Como near Perledo, uphill from Varenna. The family is passionate about cooking and presenting interesting dishes that keep with the regional traditions. They even offer cooking classes if you'd like to spend a day in the kitchen learning to prepare the area's cuisine!

They offer original antipasti, fresh-made pasta and risotto that change each day, lake fish (of course!) along with good meat dishes (which include venison and lamb among the offerings), and homemade desserts.

Reservations are appreciated. Closed Wednesdays.
