At the port of Ischia along the riva destra ("right bank") there is a line of restaurants, but this is one of the best. It's a humble place with a few tables outside and a handful of them inside. The locals come here for the renowned rabbit meal that is the signature dish of Ischia. You have to reserve it in advance but you won't be disappointed by the bucatini in sauce and then rabbit itself that is cooked in a clay pot. Gennaro and Lucianna prepare excellent fare based on their family recipes and will explain the dishes to help you choose. They're also known for their seafood; try the mussels in a spicy sauce or shrimp cooked in a terrine. Everything is fresh and totally regional.
