A very different kind of family restaurant is nestled in the woods north of Treviso. Osteria Ai Pioppi offers homemade and down-home Veneto cooking at economical prices with tables outside under the trees, as well as a more upscale restaurant upstairs (but still with good prices). But it is not just a place to eat, it's a place to enjoy a day with the family and return to your childhood fun, as Ai Pioppi is also a home-spun amusement park, open to diners.

This whimsical place was created by a kind of "Walt Disney of northern Italy" named Bruno, who built his own amusement park with his imagination and his own two hands. There are games and rides, from simple swings to a rollicking roller coater, all constructed by Bruno himself, over a span of 40 years. It's ecological, too - the rides are hand, foot or gravity powered! You'll enjoy kids' laughter, squeals of delight, and smiles from everyone at this endearing park. And you'll have a good authentic Veneto-style regional meal, too. The menu changes weekly. The open-air osteria is open in summer while the restaurant upstairs is closed in summer and open in the off-seasons.

Ai Pioppi is open from April until November every Saturday and Sunday; open every day during the month of August. Gates open at 10:30 AM. NOTE: THE AMUSEMENT PARK IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! IT IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO GUESTS OF THE OSTERIA! (No outside food or drink can be brought in; you get park privileges by dining at the restaurant.)

We have fantastic properties for you in this area, too! The homes at Villa Marsica and the historic, lavish Villa Barchessa put you in reach of this and other notable towns and attractions in the Veneto, as well as the efferverscent wine producing zone for sparkling prosecco!
