At the far tip of Puglia, Santa Maria di Leuca, the rocky Punta Ristola is where the Ionian Sea meets the Adriatic Sea. The "beach" is made of rocks, accessible by walking paths. The water is clear and clean, but it is not for children. Care must be given to the tides and winds, which can make getting in or out of the water difficult, even treacherous. There are no services available, but it is popular with locals and those who like deeper water and snorkeling among the rocks.
