Punta Capitello Beach

At Agnone Cilento, a beautiful less-known beach of pebbles and clear water makes for a great day at the seaside. Located off SS 267, there is a sign indicating the Parco Punta Capitello. Drive down and park, and walk along the paved path that lines the cove. There is a larger beach at the beginning, and a thin strip all along the curve of the cove. There are few services right on the beach, so bring what you need to be comfortable, hydrated, and fed.

The water is clear and calm, and is shallow for a bit but deepens fairly quickly so keep an eye on the kids! It is more challenging with pebbles than sand, so water shoes may be a good idea.
