In the area of Posillipo in the city of Napoli, you'll find some beaches tucked away and while they may seem hard to find with the buildings and entrances that appear to lead to hotels or condos, they are there!. Here is a run-down of the beaches in the Posillipo district.

First, we already have an entry on the beach of Bagno Elena, a serviced beach near the Palazzo Donn'Anna. Besides a sunning platform with stairs to the water, there is a slice of sand and other services for comfort and convenience. See More. (For online reservations at Bagno Elena)

Next is the free beach of Spiaggia delle Monache is sort of two beaches in one, also next to Palazzo Sant'Anna, between it and the Bagno Sirena (a serviced beach.) You enter the free beach section through Bagno Sirena, and have the choice of free open beach (bring your own umbrella and blanket or chair) or paying for an umbrella and sun bed at Bagno Sirena. The free beach allows for up to 400 people. There is a free reservation system to use for both the free and the lido (in this area they use the word Bagno for a concession beach) so be sure to reserve as being near a major, populated city it can fill up fast. Get there early. Access is only during the hours that Bagno Sirena is open, so be sure to check those! (Online reservations )

Finally Spiaggia Donn'Anna, between the palazzo and Bagno Ideal. Again, like Monache beach, access is through the Bagno Ideal or a discrete staircase from Via Posillipo that leads to Club Ondina (which hosts parties and events, has a bar and a sundeck (called a solarium) to get to the free beach section. It is a small strip of sand and it is a good idea to reserve even for the free beach or you'll risk not being admitted. (Online Reservations)
