In the historic center of pretty Penne, this unassuming osteria serves excellent regional fare in a nice setting. Warm service, homemade specialties, and a good wine selection will give you a good meal. Try the regional salami and cheeses, or the hot antipasto plate with several samples made from local vegetables. The maltagliati rustici is a pleasing peasant pasta dish, and the slow-roasted lamb can't be beat. Ravioli with mushrooms and truffles is delectable, as is the pasta with wild boar sauce.
