MAMbo Bologna Modern Art Museum

MAMbo is the Museo d'Arte Moderna Bologna, the city's premier contemporary arts gallery. It is located in the cultural district known as manufattura delle arti, and the museum iteself is in a former industrial space that was built in 1915 and served as the municipal bakery for many years. The building was restored and its airy bright space now displays a vast array of modern art, from the post-war years to the present. The natural lighting and wide spaces highlight the works, which are multi-media. Special exhibits are hosted here as well.

There is a restaurant and cafe, retaining an air of the buildings origins as a bakery to nourish your hunger for goodies as well as for art!

The MAMbo is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 noon til 6:00 PM, and on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon til 8:00 PM. Tickets cost €6.
