The beach called "dei Rocchi", better known as "Lago", is one of the must-sees of Castellabate.

It is from the calcareous rocks of this area that the ancient Greek builders extracted the blocks to build the huge columns of their temples and homes, as witnessed by the round holes left as a result from the extraction. You can still see the result of their hard work in Paestum.

The wide sandy beach, with its clear blue waters and its frame of Mediterranean shrubs, is a very enjoyable place for children and adults alike.
