With vines placed strategically around the area to capture the best sun exposure, sea and mountain breezes (and views!) this winery turns out some excellent elixirs. Located near Gran Sasso National Park in the hills of Abruzzo, La Quercia produces wines from indigenous grapes as well as imported varietals. They are best known for the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano, but the Cerasuolo is a beautiful fruity rose' made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Passerina and Pecorino grapes from neighboring Le Marche make notable whites, while they have a smattering of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, too.

Stop for a tasting and a walk through the vines. They are located outside Moro d'Oro in Abruzzo.
