Near Conegliano is an aviation museum that literally takes flight. The Jonathan Collection Historic Airplanes Museum is at Nervesa della Battaglia, where the Piave valley opens to the Venetian plains. It was the theater of bloody WWI battles. At the Campo d'Aviazione Francesco Baracca, a grass runway airfield, the museum displays epoch airplanes and motors inside a WWI-era hangar. There are also regular live demonstrations of the flying machines in the air above!

The airfield is named for a decorated WWI pilot Francesco Baracca who was shot down during the battle of the solstice. There is an annual air show dedicated to him every year on June 16 to commemorate "Baracca Day".

The museum is open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 AM til 12:00 PM and from 2:30 PM til sunset. It is open other times by appointment for groups, and flight demonstrations are performed on request.
